His book about the Book that made our world is fascinating. If you're interested in Western civilisation, culture and history you will like it regardless of belief.
Even in law faculties teach that secularism comes from the New Testament, the words of Jesus: Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and to God, what belongs to God.
This is fascinating thank you. Young Hindu men keep telling me that sati, or widow burning, was hardly ever practised here. They seem to be in denial. I'm so glad to hear some background to the actions taken by church members of Britain. If I dare to say to the young Hindu man in the street here (I'm in Goa right now) that the principle of a 'secular state' is also a Christian one they get very angry with me.
I had listened to the whole interview, but there was so much to take in that I'm really pleased you are putting up these clips to remind me of some of the most interesting points that Vishal Mangalwadi made...🙏
Have you been harassed by RSS members and BJP activists? India is on the path towards Hindu nationalism, soon there will be no place for Muslims and Christians in India.
@@nomanor7987: Yes I have been harassed. And it was a bit terrifying as it was by young men that I've known since they were boys. Hindus who used to be my friends. I don't speak out much these days because I know that foreigners have been deported from India for saying what doesn't please the people in power.
@@sandytatham3592 India is undergoing a nativist renaissance, the return of Hindu India, of Bharat led by Narendra Modi. India for the Hindus, out with Christians and down with Muslims is the cry. The West experienced this with the expulsion of Muslims from Catholic Spain, Catholics from Elizabethan England, Huguenots from France and of course Jews from Germany. Instead of remaining silent, I’d try to get out if I were you, it won’t be safe for your kind very soon.
The history of India has been redacted and what we read even in books by Australian historian AL Basham is incomplete leaving out significant chunks on the development of religion in India. The history of southern India which is geographically bigger than the size of France and Germany put together and which was the source of spices and spice trade with ancient Near Eastern civilisations, the Egyptians and the Romans has been treated very lightly ignoring significant details and developments. And Dr. Mangalvadi is doing a great work towards rectifying these fundamental issues.
Yet another tired old piece of atrocity literature. Why not talk about the Goan Inquisition? That is the true legacy of the Church in India. Individual Christians have done good work, but the church itself has been the direct source of violence, degradation, and complicity in colonialism.

Very True, and that's a very famous quote of Jesus

Nice to know thanks.
It's just laughable, if anybody would believe what he says.

Goan Inquisition?! What an excuse?!
This is propaganda 🤡
What makes you say that?
Don’t worry, the Hindutva crowd will take care of these Christians soon.
That's not an argument.
