I am 77 years old and have only just discovered my Jewish roots! I am learning so much from you dear Rabbi. Your teaching is enriching and deepening my faith ( I am a Christian) as well as giving me a sense of identity and connection with all the aunts, uncles, cousins and great grandparents I lost in the holocaust . Thank you Rabbi, I thank God for you.

Everyone is connected to Adam and Eve through their family tree. You just need to trace back through each generation. This Christmas & New Year Israel Will Be Gathered in Fulfillment of Covenant. The gathering of Israel in the last days is a fulfillment of the covenant Jehovah made with prophets. God (not Jesus), Jesus, Christ in a spirit will ensure Israel their land.

He’s partly right; but there’s more than just the breath. Those little pinpoints of light in your eyes is the rest of it. Those lights enter and leave the body simultaneously with the breath. Those lights are the visible body of the soul and they show up with the first breath and leave with the last breath. I was a registered nurse and for the last 15 years I worked in a nursing home and witnessed many deaths and I noticed that phenomena . It’s 100% that it happens like that. The eyes are the window of our soul is a fact.

Wrong, there is no such thing as a soul independent of itself.
The body is the house, the spirit is the light live, making the body a living soul. Take away the Spirit and the body is an empty vessel. The Spirit returns back to where it came from.
Think about it like water, H2O There is no water when separating the two elements.

Matthew 10:28 And do not fear those who kill the basar (flesh), but are unable to kill the nefesh (soul); but rather fear the One who is able to destroy both basar and nefesh in Gehinnom.- Jesus
The soul is therefore seemingly separate from Spirit, and one can only receive the gift of the Ruach haKodesh (Great Wind/Holy Spirit) through the blood of Jesus/Yeshua in the waters of baptism/mikvot. You must believe, confess, repent, be baptized in His Name, and live faithfully humbling yourself to a renewed mind daily.

The soul is the living house. Remove the spirit or breath that house is empty.
Breath the breath back in or fill with the Spirit and that house becomes a living soul again.
Destroy the house, the Spirit or breath can no longer make a soul together with that house.
We can receive a whole new flesh, but that is a new soul and house. even though the Spirit is old and remains.

That brings to mind the Torah portion from Deuteronomy 4: 4 - 8 Deu 4:4 But ye that did cleave unto Yahuah Elohaykem are alive every one of you this day.
Deu 4:5 Behold, I have taught you commandments and judgments, even as Yahuah Elohai commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.
Deu 4:6 Guard therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear את all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
Deu 4:7 For what nation is there so great, who has Elohiym so nigh unto them, as Yahuah Elohaynu is in all things that we call upon him for?
Deu 4:8 And what nation is there so great, that has commandments and judgments so righteous as all this Torah, which I set before you this day?

Not so, really. We are spirits, but broken... now we have the spirit, which is the seat of our real will, dead to God, and the soul.
The spirit, the eternal rationale soul, and the 'soul',the animal sentience that every living thing shares, should really be one. Strong's dictionary makes this clear.
So, in essence, we are spirit/soul and body. The task for the Christian is to make spirit and soul at one again, in the 'image of God' our Maker.

Hebrew is very similar to the Greek. Spirit=Pneuma means breath in Greek. Soul=Psyche in Greek means our soul our very essence or being. God made us to have both a body and a soul, but humankind also has the Spirit of God working inside them. The source of life is God's Spirit (breath). God’s breath, our pneuma is not our psyche. God’s Spirit gives us the image and likeness of God.

Believers activates neshamah by reading the Bible to become teshuva in mind. Teshuva of mind in effect changes daily action and moral. I got deeply involved in Buddhism for about 10 years, and found it to be TOO heavily focused on seeking the quiet of meditation, and having to step back from activities in order to find that inner peace. I used to think about how as a child I seemed to carry a connection with my inner world with me in everything that i did, without having to step back. I did learn a lot about how to free my inner world from stress, worry, and anger from Buddhism, but my real desire was to be able to regain that natural state of being in connection in all of my activities.

thank you for the wonderful teaching. this is worth pursuing. i get these great surges of high thought and they are so brief i wish i could live in them, the joy and optimism is bomb. and they also reveal wonderful places in my minds eye, all in a matter of seconds. i think its the same peace and joy of my parents had bc they were always so positive and always giving with smiles of joy. there a tons of meditations in the Tehillim and speaking them out loud is also empowering and sometimes i end up singing. shalom

Today I learned prayer again, and I experienced the Love of The Lord in the preciousness of His Gift.
Today I listenned the chant of Shmuel, through the voice of Rabbi, and I understood life more deeply.
Today I learned to pray and to listen, which means I had a deep and life-lasting teaching from The Lord.
May Adoration become each day a greater part of my ordinary breathe, as much as my understanding and compassion to the souls.
Thank You, dear Rabbi Simon Jacobson, for this new teaching which communicates to me a very vivid experience of the Beauty of The Lord. Existential Beauty informing every true aesthetics and every Meaningful aspect of Life.

Thank you. I tuned in to looking for a calming effect on my day. I recieved that and much more ❤ The song at the end was very meaningful. It reminded me of my Irish heritage as the "diddley di" is very common. It also reminded me of Indigenous songs that I have heard here in Canada and in Africa. I had a very personal yet global experience 😊

Its beautiful, And the endurance of the Jewish people is inspiring for me. I've followed so many things blindly in my life and I will try to create the bridges between each division as best as I can and prove Love is a hybrid in many combinations and the home is where our heart is and I'm on my way!

I really appreciate your approach to meditation. I use a similar process that combines emotion with reason and thought. I’ve also written extensively on such topics, with over 2,000 poems in Tamil. Recently, I wrote a poem about the journey of the soul (Atman) - how it exists in the present and ultimately attains freedom. I’ll share it with you sometime. Thank you, and keep up the great work!
