Thanks John, for the presentation about podcasts on the one hand, and what might well be called legacy media, on the other. Interesting point, too about gender of listeners, in connexion with podcast genres. Apropos of legacy media, state-owned and -sponsored media organisations - The Beeb, ABC(Australia), CBC(Canada) et al - passed sell-by quite a long while ago. Might be a similar story with other legacy media organisations.
Thanks John for your podcast. I am a Canadian that is fed up with our national broadcaster, the CBC. They get a sh-t ton of money from our government and are so biased to be unreliable. What I really like about the podcast format is that there is time to delve into complex topics and get to understand why someone thinks the way they do.
It would be interesting to see you "interview" the Chairman of the ABC, first question, has he EVER READ the ABC Charter of Operations regarding his Board RESPONSIBILITIES, my guess would be NO as he doesn't seem to accept any responsibility for the demise of a once greatly admired organisation, now generally held in CONTEMPT by a widely EX audience.
Gripping. Gritty. To the heart of the matter. As always John. You never disappoint and I finish every video of yours with a deeper understanding and a sense of knowing the issues intimately. YOU are what the ABC used to be. I remember watching Four Corners exposing the Rainbow Warrior fiasco 4 days after it happened - taking the world by surprise. That was a very long time ago…
The esteemed, former BBC broadcaster, John Humphrys, stated: "The BBC is institutionally biased, liberal-left, politically-correct and biased against Brexit; and I'm glad to have escaped the thought police. " QED.
Well said, John. I look forward to your vodcasts. I've been a fan of Victor Davis Hanson and his books. Your conversation with VDH was outstanding. I could see the moment he realised he was chatting with a fellow traveller. You seemed to develop a good rapport quickly. Thank you for sharing quality commentary. I'm also very hopeful about ARC. Give it everything you've got.
The MSM reminds me of an Oldsmobile commercial from when I was much younger. Olds was loosing customers and its image was tired. The commercial tag line: "This is not your father's Oldsmobile". You just knew the brand was dead.
Thanks John, so well put. I set my morning alarm to the ABC radio so it winds me up to get out of bed and start the day. The problem is it’s damaging to have that much bias to start the day. I resolve to completely disconnect from the ABC and its incredibly woke ideology. I also completely reject the notion people have a short attention span. Joe Rogan clearly demonstrates a desire in the market for the competition of ideas and actual analysis.
And it's time for Australian politicians to consider offering themselves up to interviews with some of our podcasters (such as yourself), as Trump (and Fetterman, incidentally) did with Rogan. It was a fascinating and revealing thing as a listener. It certainly reveals those who are brave enough, and prepared to defend their political and cultural convictions without script or otherwise. We even get to see them as personallities. This is the future of political journalism for sure. Thanks, John.
I reckon you've got your finger on the pulse of what most Australians think, John. Besides that, what you speak is surely logical. I hope you and yours have a happy CHRISTMAS - because that is what it is called and what it is all about. Hope the coming year sees you blessed - and also blessing other people, which is important too. 😇

Couldn’t cut it last time so what makes you think the old guy could do it now. 🙄
Every word John has articulated in this address is without doubt infallible.
Haven’t watched abc for 3 years. My diet is podcast with some Australian for headlines. I am 77 which gives me some experience with comparison of what msm used to be like 15 years ago. They are party affiliated & no longer do we have investigative journalism probably because real journalism is expensive to invest in & cycle moves quickly
It kills me that Anderson gets so few views here in the US. He's extremely sharp and has equally smart guests. I always worry that videos of this caliber are throttled/shadow banned like Twitter authors/content creators used to be.
PS: enjoyed you're music overlay. Good choice
Yes from Australia, Love America,
So good to my father a 13 yr old Berliner at wars end. Still going.
Thanks John. If I could, I would give this 1000 thumbs-up!
I'm 90 & just subscribed to your podcast. I go on-line for trusted USA & Australian news/ opinion, but I couldn't find one for UK till now. Thank you.
Thanks John, we need to GET RID OF THE ABC NOW!
Love this ! Saying what we are all thinking ! I hope these independent broadcasts will be the new GUTENBERG PRINTING PRESS ushering a new era of ENLIGHTENMENT. !
Thank you for your great podcast. It’s one of the few sensible Aussie shows.
Thank you, John.
Keep up the good work John the majority of listeners are with ppl like you
John can you please speak out about the Australian politics and MSM media
I'm wondering how recent changes to the Australian legal / media landscape ties into US state policy. Mike Menz had an eye opener about the topic
Thanks John, well said. Keep up the good work.
I lost faith in the MSM decades ago (1970's), not long after I lost faith in our major political parties. I have zero faith in them all and view all news with a skeptics eye.
We need a new broom.
Rfk junior is a saint. Any doctor of integrity supports him. Yet the abc tried to rubbish him.
So bloody filled with joy for independant media, this is where democracy survives.
FIFO Albo calls them misinformationists, and wants them shut down, ... or suppressed, gagged, and knobbled at the least.
I an 75 and love the three hour format...These podcasts are very informative.I watch Rogan regularly..Rogan actually asks hard questions on controversial subjects.
Thanks John, for the presentation about podcasts on the one hand, and what might well be called legacy media, on the other.
Interesting point, too about gender of listeners, in connexion with podcast genres.
Apropos of legacy media, state-owned and -sponsored media organisations
- The Beeb, ABC(Australia), CBC(Canada) et al -
passed sell-by quite a long while ago.
Reading, and understanding the charter requires a post graduate law qualification
Gripping.
100% agree with you, Mr. Anderson. Thank you for your tireless work ❤
Congratulations John, those data should be an encouragement.
I also had the impression that our ABC head was thinking of someone other than Joe?
You allow TH-cam comments. The ABC does not. That should say it all.
The esteemed, former BBC broadcaster, John Humphrys, stated: "The BBC is institutionally biased, liberal-left, politically-correct and biased against Brexit; and I'm glad to have escaped the thought police. "
QED.
Exceptionally well put, John. High Time for the ABC to have a really good look at it self.
Thanks John. Keep up the great work.
Brilliant!
Thank you for your service, John. The world is a better place because of your contributions.
Thanks again, John. Always good.
Well said John. You go pretty well yourself with great topics. Thanks,
People are tired of being told what to think by corrupt media being influenced by government.
How enlightening and refreshing. Here in the UK, we have a similar problem. Very many thanks.
Great commentary John! Keep it up mate!
Thanks John. Sanity prevails.
The MSM reminds me of an Oldsmobile commercial from when I was much younger. Olds was loosing customers and its image was tired. The commercial tag line: "This is not your father's Oldsmobile". You just knew the brand was dead.
Fantastic analysis. No wonder your show keeps growing.
I stopped watching TV, except old rerun westerns, 7 years ago.
Australians are more easy going about their politics but as we see our politicians stuff things up and lie to us that is beginning to change
John, I wish you would run for prime minister. Thank you for the honest, amazing work that you do.
God bless you.
Cheers John`o great as always
Thank you John, spot on. (Try without the background music though - no need)
ABC as a national broadcaster must be neutral, as John said "we should not know what the ABC's views are".
Thank you, Mr Anderson, I don’t have a TV or computer since 2019! I use little projector connected to my phone watch sky news 🎉
A sane and refreshing commentary on mainstream media and the demise of professional journalism in this country. The public broadcaster, the ABC, is a disgrace and should be sold off, it is almost unwatchable.
Very good and straightforward assessment. This reality that the people outside of the double credentialed and selected class can discuss issues of note either at the public or online is having a disastrous impact on the self anointed thought leaders.
