    Sitting there in a Mercedes with cash in your hand is so cringe. That made it feel like those get Rich quick commercials you would see at midnight. Yet I found everything else you said worthwhile.

      Don't hate the player, hate the game. Go out there and get your share of the pie and stop wasting your life complaining about how life is unfair. Yeah life is unfair you can't change that. Now go get you some and improve the lives of your children.

    Use a level to make sure your top track is level. That will decrease the ware on your garage door opener. Also make sure your track is parallel or your door will get wedged or it may fall out of your track and on anything under it.

    I live in the midatlantic. Is there a best brand or model garage door company or model that is not for people that make 500k or more a year? Is a steel the best quality/strength/durability/non rust... Or do some brands and models very greatly? I need 2 smaller/normal garage doors. Opener quality? Clear winner and looser/crap? Thank you.

    Tips on fixing gap in the top of the door? A lot of times we install, the very top panel won’t be fully seated and closed against the opening, leaving a gap and we never know how to fix the problem.

      All you need to do is loosen the two set screws that hold the top fixtures and while pushing the door to the wall pull the bracket that holds the very top roller towards yourself until it can’t adjust further and then tighten the two set screws. Do that on both sides and the door will seal better at the top. Also you could just put residential trim around the outside of the door, so you block the majority of the sunlight from leaking through.

    • @dtp-frostyyy4633
      @dtp-frostyyy4633 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes they are you have different aize springs for different weighted doors for example here in Florida we have one door just a standard
      Clopay w3 door gets 5 struts and 234 size springs which are slightly smaller then we have a
      Clopay w5 and that gets 8 struts and a 243 and 250 spring because it's heavier.
      (Struts) bar across the panel to help with the amount of wind it can withstand in Florida depending on where you live you may not get struts or have to use them

    FYI. I just put a new door on a rental. It is a 16' wide by 7' tall door. 4 panel. Total cost was $1785. Home Depot sells the door for $1098. There would be $88 in tax which leaves $599 in labor. Much less than the $1000's promised. Just another side. Phoenix, Arizona job.

    • @GarageDoorTrainingSchool
      @GarageDoorTrainingSchool  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Home Depot upsells their doors, it’s better to go straight to the manufacturer. People in this business often under value the labor when it’s possible to make a lot more, because it’s a niche skill that not a lot of people know how to do.

    Even a nice door is 1500$, to charge people 5000$ makes this just like any other trade, lucrative. But, it's probably the easiest trade out there, try being an electrician, a plumber or an HVAC guy, there's far more involved in those trades. Imagine poor weather conditions, garage doors are in the garage, where are plumbing, electrical or HVAC units installed?? In crawl spaces, attics, under the house; imagine it being 15 or 150 degrees (attics) in those spaces, not so fun...
