yea, the only problem is that lucas is a much worse director and can't write dialogue or scenes that are good or make the characters feel like real people. he needed someone to filter out his bad ideas and to actually make it feel like movie scenes for this trilogy.
@@jnnxyup. That was what his ex wife, Marcia Lucas, was for. She produced and edited the shots for the OT. Which is why the prequel’s dialogue didnt feel as well polished. She was half the reason the original trilogy had such flow to them. She’s not the sole reason but she definitely wad a part of the editing magic
They didnt use this and re shot the scene with a green screen. Which was actually even more work for them because all 3 of the actors shot their scenes separately. None of them could be there at the same time for filming. You can tell if you watch their hands and how they stand closely, you can tell it's edited together. Early 2000's was a golden era for films.

I see a lot of people saying Obi-Wan dropping Luke off to the Lars homestead, and whilst I'm not entirely sure of that part of the scene because Kenobi has his fuller beard and short parted hair in that scene, I think the shots where Beru and Owen are holding Luke as they look off into the twin suns going down is highly possible
I'm reading that Ewan confirmed in an interview that the whole scene was on a greenscreen set - so perhaps George shot something, but ended up scrapping it. In which case I'd love to see the original shot!

He didn’t want to at the time. Maybe he regrets it now but he did not want to stay on to help at the time he sold it to Disney. I hope that gives you some peace

He didnt want to make it but he did want them to follow his vision which they said they would when they bought Star Wars but in the end Disney decided to be Disney.

The photos I've seen of this shoot show Obi-Wan handing Luke to Uncle Owen, but it looks very different, you can tell it's not the same as what we see in ROTS. I thought the whole scene in ROTS was CGI but maybe they used the real background from here and created the sunset effect with CGI or something
It was the final shot in Revenge of the Sith. Owen and the entire scenery was shot here, but Beru and Obi-Wan and infant Luke were shot years later in front of a green screen and then composited in. During ROTS is was also shooting new scenes and dialogue for V and VI. Just shows you that he wasn't just shooting one film at a time, he was finishing a six-part super-film.
It was the end of the last shot when Luke gets handed off. While the sky is CGI, the set was real, as he said, makes no sense to rebuild the thing just for the one shot.

But, when it actually came time to film the secret shot, actor Ewan McGregor accidentally dropped one of the babies into the Sarlacc Pitt....SO, the scene was rewritten. Triplets, became "twins". The lost triplet, "Bernie Skywalker, the transgender" was written out of the story, and Ewan McGregor was nicknamed "Butterfingers Kenobi" by the crew. TRUE STORY, as told by "A.O.C. the lying jawa".
My guess is it was the ending of Episode III when Kenobi was dropping off Luke at his Aunt and Uncle’s place. It’s the only shot on Tattooine in Ep III

The difference between George’s Star Wars and Disney’s. He had a plan, and knew the story he wanted to tell from start to finish. For all the prequels’ faults, at least they have a cohesive story that didn’t change from movie to movie.
I was watching the prequel movies during the holidays. The scene that was shot looks like when Anakin went back to Tatooine to find his mother, and then bury her.
This is why when George had control it was better 1 guy 1 plan. Now it’s a universe where anyone can pick up a lightsaber and hold their own with a dark lord.
Even though he shot the scene during production of Attack of the Clones, it was reshot for Revenge of the Sith on a green screen.
