Live free in the NC! Say hello to your Alien-god thing for me!
Imagine the horror of preparing the most powerful build you can think of only to be beaten to death by a rusty dumpster with a chainsaw attached to it. Lmao
I’m just visualizing the look on his opponents faces when they see that barely functional trash compactor at the beginning of the match is their opponent.
All that Research and Development, time to manufacture all those fancy, high end composite materials: only to be destroyed by an excavation core.
@@LordDragox412Planetside 2 gamer spotted in the wild. Respect.
Also, for the Republic :)
The truly evil thing about these combo builds is that your opponent has time to sit there and ponder on how they're about to die.
Lots of salt. Loads of it.

I find meta incredibly dangerous to play because everyone knows what you gonna do and this is a game that favors those who know what they're against over the fanciest weapons.
Not true at all. Those coral missiles from end game.
Zimmermänner still are the best weapons in the game. You have almost no reason to run anything else

It's funny how they confidently approach you on the first encounter, then after that horrible chainsaw oblitaration, they rush at you as fast as they can or run around in fear trying to find an opening only to fall in the same way, the bare hands are kinda broken.
well everyone has them equiped allways. Youst drop your wepon
Yeah, bare knuckles are unironically great, doing a ton of stagger and being able to function as a stagger extender.
Works quite well with melee evidently.

Glad to see you here Suzi!
Cool! Suzi is here! Can we expect some sort of an AC6 video?🤔🤔🤔
Mediocre pilots sleep on the kick.
This is comically effective and pure evil. Best part is, if anyone had decent ranged builds, they'd have a legit chance. But relying on the Meta proves their downfall.
These people also don't know what they're doing, tbf. A single AB double zimm blast into kick into heavy shoulder weapon follow up would one tap this build. It's a super fun gimmick, but it's not at all competitive
@@landbeforetimeeeExcept that in one of the matches, a guy did try going straight at him and got blasted by the Morleys.
@poleofversatility7074 Yes, if you ignore the on-screen visual firing indicator and audio cue (provided almost a full second before the weapon fires) and continue to charge forward in a straight line I could see how this build could be an issue.
But, assuming you have functioning eyes, ears and a brain that can think about stuff, my point stands. You have five seconds until the next volley to do unspeakable things to the poor little trashbot, which is a long time in this game.
The reason nobody runs ranged builds is because ranged builds fundamentally suck. 1.02's projectile speeds were a start, but without Ideal Range increases, it doesn't change anything.
Oro's first video with this build proved it, with a lightweight ranged AC trying to kite him out, only to eventually lose off one stray Morley volley.
Makes me wonder how well my long range build would fare. iirc, I use twin Curtis Linear Rifles (prefer the increased fire rate vs the Harris), and twin laser turrets, the stationary ones. Great against close ranges because I can force them to fight me in a drone nest while I spray them with bullets. Build got be through Arena S Rank and through FoR Endboss.
I was the guy w the purple ac w the pile bunker and it was amazing getting destroyed by you made my day 😂😂

That's dope bro no salt, all love. The way gaming should be...most of the time lol
Gigachad comment
I would have a really good laugh if my fancy AC got obliterated by an AC that looks like a pile of junk.
"Just in time for the patch! Good f**king riddance!"
It was not until later that the fine man behind the username Oroborus would realize that the patch didnt do anything whatsoever to the Zimmermanns and we all cried.
Honestly I feel like this game really doesnt need patches there's still a bunch of untapped potential
The way I figure, From Software shipped with most of the rifles and MGs underpowered because previous AC titles heavily favored dual-wielding these guns, and then a patch was ready to go if they didn't turn out to be a problem. Shotguns have generally sucked in older AC titles, so these might not have been on their radar yet for a patch. Next balance update, we could see them toned down.
As a starting point, the balance in MP isn't too bad though, and only needs little nudges.
But Zimmermans aren't good. No need to patch them. They're just used widely because of a few bad YTers saying they're good.
I fuckin love the idea of how the rusty old mech just ravages the advanced tech units, I smile widely everytime they get the chainsaw lmao
i feel like it was only a matter of time to find a build that can take advantage of the chainsaws insane damage potential
Beating zimmerman builds with the base weapon is such a good feeling. Especially after the buffs
Love how all your videos like this one showcase the idea that it's really the pilot that matters, not the build. If you're clever enough, I'm convinced that you could make any build work.
Really glad to see people out there bringing out creative builds and not just another Copy paste Duel Zimmerman slave. You got full love and support from me, buddy.
Same. I love shotguns myself, but I started to hate them because they were the only thing a saw in PVP. I use lasers and melee now.
Zimmermans in 1v1s at this point is just exhausting and annoying. Like really? We get it, you have to use the most broken crutch in the game to function. The other day I had 3 great, close matches, barely won the 2/3 with my laser pistol build against an interesting rifle build, dude switched to Zimmers the second he lost the set. Post game I just spammed OK, good job! And went to make dinner while he waited in the lobby. If ur gonna waste my time with your uncreative bullshit, u can wait in the lobby.
@nathangarcia2356 If you know he switched to Zimmerman's, then either counter them or just leave. Don't be a salty baby butt about it lol. There's always going to be a meta. You not liking that doesn't make you better.
@@N00BSYBORG I don’t check my opponents assembly I was readyd from the start and expecting another balanced match. Wasn’t really salty, I had to go cook anyway so might as well waste his time like he wasted mine. If you want to feel mighty with shotguns, go play the campaign or use the meta when ur opponents are. Don’t switch to a broken crutch the second you lose to an non-meta build. Countering Zimms isn’t that hard, I just find missile boat/stun gun/ also using Zimms completely boring in every way. Joining and seeing a zimmer is fine, I’ll give them a match and then leave if I don’t want to deal with it. Having a fun lobby Losers rotate lobby get ruined by someone switching to the meta sucks. Would much rather just find a new lobby if I know ur going to switch to whatever the internet says is the best the second you lose.
@@nathangarcia2356This sounds like massive skill issue kekw
This feels like a Batman situation, you know what you’ll be up against, so you can plan well ahead in advance.
Highlighting how the player base is still figuring things out. Not a single opponent could adapt or even make use of the air. Oro is showing the importance of knowing your build and knowing your opponent. Rusty isn’t trash, but he is definitely sub-optimal. Hoping for more balance patches, and more parts, but also excited to see the average skill level improve.
This is how I immediately knew he was going up against low rank or unskilled opponents. This type of build is a heavy hitter but against an aerial focused AC it gets melted. It’s pretty much a glass cannon that requires point blank range to work, lightweight builds will just maximize the engagement distance and pick it off with missiles.
Ran into a similar build using the stun baton instead of the chainsaw. The baton would trigger a static discharge after the combo and just stun me again. That might actually be a better counter for tanky ACs who can survive the chainsaw combo.
love my baton
I recently learned how to combo with the stun baton as well. 😊
Ngl I love ACs that look like they’ve been cobbled together out of scraps or that are so run down or beaten up they’re falling apart. It’s both a cool aesthetic and feels awesome to stomp someone with an almost literal rust bucket
Ever since I saw Lenny's video trying to beat the game with unarmed only i knew there was potential in punching mechs
ei, ZeroLenny fan, how you doin?

Rust Bucket… the rusty bucket hero we didn’t know we needed.. Absolutely love the build!
Imagine entering PvP with your “ultimate meta combo”, you see your opponents AC looking like an Excavator, You’re like “this be easy”, 5seconds later you’re screaming 😂😂😂
Got a funny build for you to try Oro
I call it the “engineer”
Two stationary shoulder turrets (or one stationary and one chase turret on shoulder)
Carry a RaD missile launcher in one hand and some kind of energy weapon in the other hand
Run one of the Arcquebus generators (your pick)
Either use the missile specialized aim chip or the Arcquebus long range chip
Armor is also your choice
The goal of the build is to annoy your opponent with multiple stationary turrets (you can rapidly fire the turrets from your back and can keep up 8 at a time) and lure them close to you so they get pelted by turret fire. Should they stay at a range they will get hit by your missile locks and second weapon, preferably a energy sniper.
It’s very funny, look up the build.
Chase turret? You mean the funnels or the bullet orbits
@@snowy9587
Yeah, I forgot the name of it tbh
Probably the orbits, idk.
If it chases the player then I would call it a chase turret.
@@snowy9587 I think he means the energy or kinetic "funnel" type weapons as the chase turrets, and the Pringle cans that poop out (basically) stationary tiny drones that sit for a long time and try to fire when an enemy is close enough. I had a lot of fun with the latter in both pve and pvp. They're a one trick pony but absolutely comical when an opponent charges into a small swarm of them for the first time
@@maniacalmurderer4123 fake ac fan, doesn't know what an orbit is/j
Orbits "orbit" the AC using them and fire straight ahead when pointed at a target, funnels are the drones that lock on like missiles but follow their target and fire at them

lmfao I saw that!
4:39 Omg 😂😂 You shut him tf down. He thought he was doin' smthin with the Assault Armor 😂😭
That instant stagger from shoulder-mounted weapons is the real menace here, whoa.
Sure, you can stagger and then finish them off afterwards, but you could do the same with a pile bunker or certain other setups too.
I feel like this build would be less effective against enemies that are careful to keep distance from you by far - you don't seem very mobile, and also have low AP. But against close-ranged builds this kind of combo seems to be pretty much as good as you can get, and it was fun watching you destroy people like this.
the charged pilebunker doesnt have a dash like the charged chainsaw though, the charged chainsaw is technically faster, you just need to know when to lift the trigger.
Funny enough it's the same reason that people complain about Zimmermann, as far as instant stagger, you just don't have people whining about it constantly. There are many weapons that are this oppressive when it comes to impact.
Just reinforces my belief that the "Zimmerman meta" is something perpetuated by a few youtubers when really it's just how stagger works in this game.
Oro put it on display here. I would rather fight someone with 4 Zimmermann rather than this insanity. At least Zimmermann can't stunlock you.
@@TheMaxCloud While you're right, you can still close the gap with a regular dash and still typically have enough time to hit it if you do things properly. It's definitely harder to do, but not impossible.
@danielboyd7810
Zimmermans are only considered "good" because they are fairly easy to hit with and have high stagger and damage for that ease of hitting. But there are many other combos that work at least as well, if not better. I think the bigger issue is with other projectile weapons tending to lack the same kind of power as a Zimmerman - though the developers do seem to be improving that.
I saw yesterday that the Chainsaw has a bigger stat than the pilebunker The Direct Hit Adjustment, as the Pilebunker I think its 145 the Chainsaw is over 200, making the Chainsaw heavy damage equal if not bigger than the Pilebunker if the enemy is staggered, also while the Chainsaw is being charged and its doing the rev animation, it works as a shield for kinetic damage.@@echomjp
The funniest part is that if they used off-meta weapons like the assault rifles, they could just wither the opponent down at range.
Had been playing a bunch of PVP since I got the game and been ragdolled up and down the meta of endless stun needles and shotties and I've got to say, this was cathartic 😂 what a dose of dopamine to go with my dinner tonight. Thank you for the laughs
Fists are so op in this game. As long as you have "stamina" you can stunlock other players to death and they cannot do anything about it, unless they'll use any of the armor specials.
You get 6 hits off. It's just annoying not OP.
6 hits is like over 3k damage fist alone, and that also allows easier setup for your real killing blow, while it is not OP it is way more than just annoying, I would say that is at least legit.
Takes me back to my DS2 dual-wield broken swords pain train. Literally combo like 14 hits. Terrible damage but still efficient because the stamina cost was even lower, proportionally.
Well what should I say..Fists do be overpowered. But huh..Duel Zimmerman slave? I don’t feel empathy for them.
Staggerlocks NEED to go badly. Reminds me of early ER where the stun from a bleed comboed into another bleed until death
Staggerlocking and stunlocking are the worst fucking shit in every videogame they're in
Rust Bucket is the future of Bonk (at least my love for them is the same: maximum)
BONK
Hehe future of ¨bonk¨ now i got the thought of Guts from Berserker manga piloting Rusty xD His sword sounds Bonk in the anime haha Ty for the picture i got in my head.
I love how they confidently rush you only to die in like 2 seconds
You are countering shotguns, with EXPLOSIVE shotguns basically.
Makes sense. The solution to shotguns? BIGGER shotguns.
@2:27 the stun was short because there's a hidden "anti stun lock" mechanic that usually procs when their stagger bar is nearly full then gets hit by somthing that otherwise will fill the whole bar on that hit alone. Been experimenting with melee for quite awhile, looking for true combos. I think its an under developed mechanic. Not quite confident on this info tho, cant reliably recreate it.
Seeing someone run Jailbreak parts in this game is like seeing a naked invader in a Souls game; odds are they know what they're doing and you should be very afraid.
Ah man I actually love pairing the flak cannons. I didn't know you could fire them off at the same time. It's like a shotgun of explosives, seems really fun if you get the timing right. Want to try that out with a pile bunker and a kinetic weapon maybe.
Swap the chainsaw with the pilebunker....you monster
@@greatestraverkablooey, the build
@@TSE_WOODY just did some testing of my own. Those spread cannons on the shoulders are damn hard to actually land unless the opponent is outright stupid or not expecting it
@@greatestraver I found that firing them at an angle was really effective, like using reverse joints and firing off a jump, or hovering low to the ground on quads. Mix with something steady that makes the opponent want to move then aim for the gap in their mobility.

I've been on a personal crusade to win the campaign with various builds, and so far this build has been the most fun to play with. Bosses are hard but AC fights are SO short.
Triple punch into the beyblade has been great for me as well. I tend to use double pistols, though.
Also, did you know holding the chainsaw charge reflects some damage? It's not super useful for PvP, but it's a fun fact.
I just tried this build now, it is SO damn fun! Feels good shredding double zim ac's. I love melee builds in this game man.

this has the Thanos meme written all over it:

Oro is putting wild builds online everyday ❤
I petition we all make Rust Buckets and counter-meta play until people start using more 'fun' builds.
If the anti-meta is that good they become meta tho.
IMO we don't really need to "do something" about the meta, people will learn to counter and just let natural selection do the work.
@@rudymeow
I just want more off-meta creativity going on...
There's already a huge reduction in PVP lobbies now because metabots are too strong.
Everyone's all scared off and the kickass "just kinda make whatever man" days are already gone after a couple weeks of it being out.
No one knows what actual fun is anymore because everyone hates losing so much they succumb to soulless builds just for the sake of winning.
@@rudymeow Not really because Rust Bucket is going to be trash at medium to long range. All the people in the video are shotgun users who run right at him like idiots and that's the fastest way to kill anything with this build. It just does the Zimmerman's job better
@@poly_g6068 That's basically it. One of the worse matchups is fighting yourself... but with more damage and stagger. This is why I go for a mix of weapons and never double up. It's so I have more options available to me no matter my opponent. I never build an AC specifically to hard counter. Granted, I lose a lot of matches (probably 40/60 disadvantage). But I rather lose in an AC of my own than win in someone else's AC.
Oro makes a saw video, and it's about sandbagging people with literal junk parts. All I could have asked for.

Thank you for showcasing fun builds like this in a wasteland of zimmer bunker/lance. Crazy that unarmed just extends the stun period like that lol
>this build DESTROYS shotgun meta users

On a serious note, I'm tired of people pretending that a one shot weapon isn't broken beyond belief
Pretty much this, every single "anti-meta" thing I've seen has since become the meta cuz of how abusable and easy it is (Stun Pistols, Punch combo kill confirms, Viento, Trueno). Not to mention Tetrapods and Tanks outclassing LW AC's in every way but speed. Pretty much every day of PvP is seeing how the meta shifts with a new toy someone showcased as anti-meta.
Like, I'm completely fine with the use of these builds and if I don't want to fight them I simply won't, but I just don't like the smug attitude some players have after matches when using these types of builds.
@@shadesterrr I mean this is Oro, so the smug attitude goes without saying

"I have this super articulated build designed to kill an ac immediately." Ourobouro: "I have to AA cannons and a chainsaw. I like these odds."
They may not be zimms, but they're essentially double shoulder-mounted shotguns with explosive rounds :D
Favorite build you’ve showcased. So far out of the ordinary! Hard not to like.
The Zimmerman hate is so funny to me. There are many arguably just as viable/better builds, but Zimmermans just happen to be very accessible. There is and always will be "that one weapon/character" at the beginning of literally every game's meta.
It's one of those things, in my opinion, that just urks me. Sure the build works for and against newer players, but where's the creativity? That's what makes me upset. There's no leaderboards or any metrics where you could measure how good you are and here you are Double Zimmer'd Up on a Thursday Afternoon. Surprisingly enough, before the patch, I've only seen 1 AC use double Zim, so I don't believe it's as widespread as people think.
@@B3nchwarm3r708I just hate that people instantly scream 'metaslave' the second they see you have Zimms. I brought my Arena build into PvP, it was dual Sixteens, a Rapid Pulse gun and a Piledriver. I realized shields were not as prevalent in PvP as Arena, so swapped the rapid pulse for a Gatling, and realized that as great as the Sixteens are, in PvP you need the extra range, which made the Zimmers the better choice for me.
My final build's two zimmers and two ten-count forward facing missile launchers. Not out of any "metachasing" bullshit, but because whenever I saw a part of my build struggling, I swapped it out for something to fix it. The gatling didn't do much, and the Piledriver usually missed if there was ANY verticality going on, so they got swapped for Songbirds. The Songbirds got swapped for missiles because I wanted to be able to stay mobile. Sixteens were fun, but I needed an effective range longer than "Punching".
@B3nchwarm3r708 I literally played 4 hours today and encountered 4 teams. Separate lobbies running dual zims.
They are widespread. Thing is, I don't mind fighting the bots that run dual zims. I can outplay them the majority of the time with a variety of builds.
The true cancer if pvp is missle boats. There is very little counterplay unless you build for it specifically. When you play teams and see 3 unlimited energy missle boats it's absolutely brain dead.
we NEED missle flares and missle jamming added into Ac6 like in previous games.
As a rule, I refuse to use Zimmerman + Pile Bunker in PVP (That's exclusively for Bosses). If I really get pissed at losing a lot, I use the Twin Lance combo build:
Wuerger + VE-67LLA.
A slow death you can do nothing about is far worse than one so fast you can't see coming. It doesn't do anywhere near as much damage per hit, but its stunlock potential is absurdly high. Charge Lance, Charge Wuerger, unleash Lance, unleash charged Wuerger, rinse & repeat until sufficiently bullied.
So satisfying to see these kinds of vids. putting Zim & Needle meta users in their places. I have a few builds of my own to counter them but nothing like that XD nicely built. If we meet on the field, may our battle be legendary! XD
Tank build and double Morley's are a force to be be used xp
Wall-e is fed up with zimmerman
Zimmerman is not the problem, assault boost is. You can not outrun or outspace any close range weapons properly in this game. Here we see a case of just assault boosting to someones face and double shotguning bazooka.
There is no mid range or long range play outside of using missiles to pressure and keep the stagger bar. Every battle devolves into who can 1 hit stagger the other first, then burst melee or cannons.
This game is never going to be balanced for pvp and that's ok. It's not about the weapons it's about the mentality.
I swear to God after I watched this video I went back and tried this build and got an S rank in the [Reach the Coral Convergence] mission. I never trolled the Coral Malenia boss THIS hard before. Once you stagger that SOB, it’s game over with the chainsaw. Thank you so much for this busted build. 😭
I was trying to build a chainsaw build with missiles. But this looks so much better! I'll give it a try.
From my experience in the story, you should focus on missiles only if you gonna use them. Then its easy to overwhelm the opponent by using them one after the other not all at the same time.
@@Gumpinn yeah. I already have an only missiles build. Is not perfect but it is a lot of fun.
Anyone who plays range would beat this build easy but cause the meta is close range it wrecks

the punch being so incredibly unfair if it connects is the funniest part imo
It's not that it's unfair. What the punch does is extend the stagger window. He's only doing it to ensure he has enough time for the charged attack
@@landbeforetimeee stunlocking is pretty unfair in PvP, it's like the vortexing in ER as well. Im sure From software will patch it very soon in PvP.
@teffhk I don't think you're understanding what's happening here. A normal, single punch will not stun. It will fill the stagger meter, but it can be evaded out of immediately after the hit lands. What you're seeing is an extension of the stagger window AFTER the opponent is already staggered. The punches themselves do minimal damage, he's just getting the three in for fun. They just reset the stagger window so he's more likely to get the charged chainsaw off. There's no need to nerf or balance an extra
@@landbeforetimeee that’s what I’m trying to say tho, non ending stunlocking while enemies it’s stun shouldn’t be in PvP. It’s opposite of fun when you can do nothing but watching the opponents kill you. There is a reason stagger has a limited windows otherwise the game is broken. Abusing a single stagger windows till the opponent is died when they can do nothing is actually what stunlocking means. Otherwise he wouldn’t have two big rocket launchers on his shoulders but only using fists, if only punch can stunlock the opponent.
@teffhk What I'm getting at is that it makes no difference whether it's one or three punches beyond wasting time. It just makes the follow-up more consistent, and you need to sacrifice an entire weapon to do it. I've run a similar setup with the slicer in pvp, and I absolutely promise you having an extra weapon is ALWAYS better than fists. The post stagger stun is meaningless relative to the follow up attack.
U just got my astonishing respect and reverence along w/t 1 big like for sure bro. This meta build is brilliant.

This was hilarious lol. I can just imagine people not taking your build seriously, thinking it's a meme build or something and then getting *_absolutely trashed lmao._*
Honestly, when it comes to PVP, this is the worst AC so far. The stagger system shouldn't have been included in PVP, as most everyone has the same Zimmerman/melee strategy. The turning speed should be dictated by the leg unit & OP parts. Auto lock on shouldn't be an option. There are really no light mechs/machine gun builds because heavy mechs can turn just as fast as they can. I understand FromSoft wants to market this game to a larger crowd, meaning the controls & gameplay were made easier, but by doing that, it created a game where everyone uses the same unoriginal build.
Most importantly, Assault Boost is your best movement option in literally every way and _on top of that_ hard-locked AB kicks basically never miss. Otherwise hard-lock isn't really the issue here, you can turn just as fast either way.
The only negative point I think there is in AC6 is that you cant chose a different arm for the left and right side. You cant mix and match them. Tho you could in some other games like Daemon X Machina...
good, not a fan of those stuff anyway
Yea that would be terrible never in any AC game that was possible . I’m glad they never did that and kept it original to the series. Yet they’re missing a few more weapon types and the S rank hunt isn’t rewarding 😢anymore.
That would introduce inbalances in the AC
You sir, are a true gentleman, a scholar, and a man of class. Watching someone purpose build to exploit the weaknesses of the common builds is great and demonstrate exactly why pilot is what makes the difference in a win. Keep up the solid work.
After playing a large chunk of the game with Songbirds, I fell in love with the Morley during the Jailbreak mission. It's just so goddamned cool.
That was far more entertaining than it had any right to be. Bravo, good sir.
While Zimms are cheap, using cheap stunlock melee tactics isn't any better. This build is literally just "big boom, into fist stunlock chainsaw combo." This isn't well thought out, or any less cheap than the "Meta".
ok
Dont walk into spread bazooka shots and you’ll never get stun locked.
@@liquidfrost100Yeah, simple, just... _gets Assault Boosted_
The speed at which chainsaw can be revved up to do the full charged attack almost immediately after a punch doesn't seem intended
True. It's the same phylosophia. Short range stunlock. Explosiv shotgun. But you can't denie the originality and the work to find the lethal combo. It's not a simple stupid copy pasta meta zim. From the armor and weapon choice, to the peint. It's a piece of crap wich can cut in alf. It's funny, and it's creativ. 😊
I love how comically far enemies fly away when you kill them with DA BOOT
Big ol' smile the entire time... :D
Love the build my boy, he ain’t just a rust bucket he is a son of destruction.
"You're not gonna like this next part!!" 😆😂
Getting dumpstered on by what is literally trash might he the most disrespectful thing I have ever seen, hats off to you.
That’s terrifying. You’re truly a king
So happy to see you running chainsaw. It’s so underrated for how much fun it is
Chainsaw is the one thing I don't compromise in my build. I will run it even if just for the looks. But it's nice getting a finisher in. Since I don't use punch combo, I usually predict when I'm going to stagger and warm up double trouble right before it so I can go in for the kill. Plus you can use it as a semi shield.
All they had to realistically do is out-range you, but they're all so stuck on close range Zimmermans they got melted lmao
That's the build Walter should've left us for mission Escape
"You're not going to like this next part" lmao
THATS WHAT IM TALKING BOUT! the beatings then the ripping.
“Sure it matters who’s got the bigger stick but it matters a hell of a lot more of who’s swinging it.”
CAT produced the first hydraulic excavator in 1972, and gave it the designation "225". Food for thought if this guy still needs a name
I love the commitment to the bit by putting on the literal trash parts of the basho I respect it
You can keep the saw charged while using the Morley's and let it go into the charge attack after the animation finishes while they stunned. Charge can also be held during quick boosting.
You can also animation cancel the charge attack start-up with Assault/Pulse Armor like quick boost canceling (Assault boost can also cancel out the start up to go into a kick if you want) if you think you're going to wiff the connect; same for if you commit to the charge attack and miss, hit Assault/Pulse to cancel out the animation.
I love shoulder-cannon builds so much. It's so satisfying to just BLAT someone in the face as they rush in with grenade launchers or bazookas or worm needles or any of the big beam shoulder guns and just see their stagger bar pop instantly.
