@@GeekStreet Well you could always get a 65 OLED for less and run CRU to create an ultrawide custom resolution. I'm using a 55 OLED and with say 10 hours of gamming a week for over a year, no burn in. Yes if you're using all day every day then maybe this or another far cheaper pc monitor.

Can you do a video about the elephant in the room ?
You're never going to get perfect image quality watching a 1080p video on a 1440p monitor. It's just how it is. I have movies downloaded natively to my computer that are 1080p and they still look blurry. The reason is because computer monitors don't have the same upscaling tech that TVs do, so they won't ever look as good on a monitor when compared to a TV. It'd be the same way if you were to play a game at 1920x1080 on a 2560x1440 panel, it would look blurry and washed out unless at the native resolution. I deal with this constantly, even with TH-cams newer "1080p enhanced bitrate" videos on Premium. I've just learned to deal with it unfortunately. Unless you wanted to watch it at 4K on a 1440p display if it was uploaded as a 4K video, you'll never get the same clarity on a lower resolution than your native res.
Does the mac mini not have usb-c thunderbolt ports on the back just use one of those instead of hdmi. That should in theory be able to get you higher resolutions.
Since there are two hdmi ports: can you plug in two different consoles / laptops / tablets on each port and run both sources simultaneously in pip mode on a main computer screen which is connected to a desktop machine thru the display port?
@@GeekStreetthank you, I just wasn’t sure if pip mode only supports one input source only as nobody really covered this in detail So essentially what I’m asking is a situation where you can have up to three different computers all simultaneously being displayed on the ultrawide monitor screen at once. The only problem is that this model doesn’t have a kvm built in
@@GeekStreet so your telling me I can game on one side 2560x1440 at 240hz. And have the other side at 2560x1440 at 240hz? If so I would like to see a video of it. Please

Since there are two hdmi ports: can you plug in two different consoles / laptops / tablets on each port and run both sources simultaneously in pip mode on a main computer screen which is connected to a desktop machine thru the display port?
Yes thats possible
@@GeekStreetthank you, I just wasn’t sure if pip mode only supports one input source only as nobody really covered this in detail
So essentially what I’m asking is a situation where you can have up to three different computers all simultaneously being displayed on the ultrawide monitor screen at once. The only problem is that this model doesn’t have a kvm built in
@@fishlangs1022 check out 9:00 in the video
Oh ok so you cannot have three input sources being viewed at the same time on the screen, only a maximum of two
yes but can you have 2 x 2560x1440 screens with 240hz?
Yes definitely but with this its a single monitor with no bezel in the middle much better when gaming in super ultrawide.
@@GeekStreet so your telling me I can game on one side 2560x1440 at 240hz. And have the other side at 2560x1440 at 240hz? If so I would like to see a video of it. Please
"LG49" I upgraded to the LG Ultragear 45' OLED from the AOC 49' Ultrawide and it's nice, but now I wish I knew this was coming at the time. OLED for me isn't the game changer people make it out to be especially for the price. I went back to the AOC and had no problem playing on it after playing on the OLED for two months straight. This absolutely would have been my next upgrade if I knew about it.
Thanks for the comment, out of interest what issue did you have with the OLED, too small a field of view?
it's a 1440p monitor. we go by the vertical pixels, not horizontal. calling it 5k is misleading and disingenuous.
I'm using g9
