I would like to be president someday, so no, I've not smoked marijuana. I ate a brownie once at a party in college. It was intense. It was kind of indescribable, actually. I felt like I was floating. Turns out there wasn't any pot in the brownie. It was just an insanely good brownie.
I smoke pot and I have strong feelings about brownies and I understand this statement. Sometimes you just need a really good brownie.
Can we please exist in a world in which Seth and Amy are a team, and every episode is them riffing together with occasional interference by people like Samberg or Mulaney?

@@RandomComics1 That isn't true. The World Cup finals (which is the tournament that people generally refer to, when saying "World Cup") are held november-december 2022.
There are *qualification* matches later this year, but those run for 3 years prior to the finals.

I'm from Belgium, near Liège. The half of the population is Italian. When the Italian team wins, they drive around shouting and horning with Italian flags until 2 am. When the Belgian team wins, they also drive around shouting and horning with Belgian flags until 2 am. When the game is Belgium against Italy, whatever the result, they drive around shouting and horning until 2 am with the winner's flag.

I live in Canada in a small town with a small percentage of Italian people who’s great-grandparents were born there. They also drive around honking their horns. Belgians, not so much.

It can be a performance enhancing drug in a sense. It can help relaxation which is huge for muscle growth, and while working out it can really help you focus

@@christopherweise438 not sure how much you know about bud, but it actually relaxes the muscles in your airway similar to an inhaler. So it actually does also allow for deeper breaths if you have any issues
@@tenenbaummark - I've been a musician for 40 years. I know my drugs. I was coming at this from a purely motivational angle based on my past experiences. I was not aware of the breathing capacity benefits of weed. Seems counter intuitive that smoking something could increase breathing capacity, but i suppose edibles would get around that. Thank you for the lesson.

Sha’Carri Richardson waited until after events and such, it was her off time. Yet still gets disqualified even when Michael Phelps talked bout his usage and kept his availability and medals. Plus her mom passed away. She could have raised their ratings and create life long fans bc she represents so many ppl that don’t get represented or even acknowledged. Im a huge olympics fan and hate how it’s becoming a burden to the host city and ppl, while being hypocritical due to the fact they banned BLM reps during the events yet didn’t have a problem with LGBTQ representation during Sochi and Rio (don’t @ me I’m a WOC and part of the community). I think the original creators would be upset. Let the best of the best compete (obviously without performance enhancing drugs). The Olympics brings the world together and I think that is beautiful.
Phelps never pissed hot, he got banned for 3 months based on a photo take off-season. Richardson actually failed a drug test in a qualifying event for the Olympics and only got 1 month.
How was Seth not nominated for an Emmy? Robbed, robbed I say! No matter, I’m sure our undying love of the show (f’ing awesome during the COVID crap storm) is a big consolation to him….

Correction- at 3:30 Amy Poehler says she was in New York for the World Cup, but it's the Euro, and as you recently gave an interview to Volkskrant about watching the World Cup in 1998 in Amsterdam- and that you were trying to follow the Euro games, but found it difficult due to the time difference, so you should know better. The Euro and the World Cup are two distinct championships.

I love Amy and Seth together and this was fun but I must say: After the DDL and Thai Cave Boys conversations, I think having the audience really amps them up and makes for a much more memorable interaction. It's sad that we still have to deal with this virus thing, it's been so long.

Lol, I find it so odd when writers and comedians brag about how they “could never do anything else” and think it’s cute. I’m sat here like, really? You couldn’t make a sandwich to make rent if you had to? Really, Seth and Amy? Not sure we need to hear your thoughts on anything else if that’s truly the case…
They could and have done many other jobs, i think the point is they feel they arent good for anything else, and this work is their purpose in life

Or, this is another example of self-deprecating humor, a sign of high EQ. Seth's first job was making and delivering sandwiches in NH...Really! Amy worked in a 50s style ice cream shop and held multiple waitressing/catering jobs while at BC and starting out in Chicago. They both came from working class families, Seth's moved around more in the beginning as his parents found jobs. To be fair, you'd only know that if you've seen them in previous interviews, read Amy's biography, or maybe did a quick google search. As for pretty much every other successful comedian, most of them worked in hospitality services while honing their craft and credit those experiences to giving them the material they needed to succeed (e.g. restaurants, hotels, airports, car service, catering). I don't usually comment on TH-cam but when people punch down on hardworking writers and comedians because, like, really? Skim Rod Martin's "Psychology of Humor", Kliph Nesteroff's "The Comedians", listen to the Conan Needs a Friend Podcast. Punch up.

I was very proud that I didn't know, till this interview, who the winners of European Cup were. Now I know...and now I'm sad, because now I know. I've been avoiding the News on TV & Radio for weeks: because I think the Football Cup, European or World or Olympic, is a waste of time/space and money. After having said this....the Dutch Government will find me and probably take my🇳🇱 citizenship & passport away. In the Netherlands the reaction would be: how stupid can you be. You know it’s on the list. You know what happened to x,y and z. They got banned to because the just took one draft from a friends joint as well. it doesn’t matter that it’s not enhancing. It’s on the list and there for forbidden. I heard many times why it should be on the list and I haven’t heard a reason why it should be. But it is. And as long as it is, an Olympic athlete should know better.
It’s sad not to see her compete because she makes it so worthwhile watching the sport.

So is the World Cup, but they don't overlap.
So next year, the World Cup takes place.
And in 3 years, the next Olympics *and* the next European Cup will take place.
