I remember Ragnarok being my first Periphery experience, and even now, being their fan for more than two years, it still squeezes tons of feels from me. Thank you, Periphery.
That's how you fucking outro an album. 5 guitars layered there. One is a semi-tone down and another is a major third down. That's what give is so much depth and that hint of detune to make it pretty much just one big noise.
+tofol cano This may comes as a surprise, but with the astounding recording technology these days, people are able to record several layers of instruments, even more than the number of people in the band itself! Hope I didn't shake your world too hard there, buddy

muramasa is a sword maker from japan and masamune is a clan from warring states era of japan, not sure about ragnarok, but these three swords are present in final fantasy.
My mistake, Fenrir only kills Odin and this is just one event in Ragnarok. The main point is that the world will be submerged in water and re-emerge fertile and be repopulated by two human survivors. Many of the gods will not survive Ragnarok.
a correction: masamune isn't the clan, it was called "Date". The most famous head of the clan was Date Masamune. The song, however, is probably named after the Katana masamune, used by Sephiroth from Final Fantasy. :p sorry i know this comment was from a long time ago. It was just bothering me haha 😅
muramasa and masamune two of japans most famous smiths. also two that happen to not have that much known about them. almost managed to buy a real muramasa and a sword from the masamune line(a student of his student) once but didnt manage to get the money together in time.
I can’t shake the idea that these songs are from the point of view of fallen angels that followed satan ie: the morning star. They know they’re effed all the way and they can see their demise clearly coming. I’m probably reading way too much into it, but.........
Alright guys, I think I know what kinda story this is: MURAMASA: The fallen came to corrupt and *[we]* let it happen even though we knew better. ..blah blah.. there was a big flood (surrounding nations) to fix it all.. "all the world by a thread" - thread being just Noah and his fam or whateva. they 'distanced' or separated themselves. blah. RAGNAROK: Jesus fasted for forty days and forty nights in the wilderness when he came to save from the fallen. He was hungry like a mf but he had to I guess. He was sitting there the whole time thinking bout how he was about to be tortured, pouring his bloud and shit,. he thought he was gonna go nuts. He begged BEGGED god to just grant a pardon for the lost souls because he didn't want to get his guts ripped out and everything for these trolls. understandable. blah blah. AND THEN, after all that we went back to our evil ways acting like Jesus didn't even bother to help us because we're evil and shit, again, not doing what we know is right. MASAMUNE: The ascension. or actually more form the perspective of the bad apples that don't get to go with lmao. ..Not sure who's calling their soul, being snatched into the spirit realm. leaving the flesh behind. Rejected by the gates. tragic. "Measuring all the glory as it seems. Was it enough for eternity?" - the rejectees whining: haven't I done this and that?!! I'm a good person, LET ME IN!! Then god says "depart from me, I don't even know y'all randoms." Then at some point all of heaven starts singing after it was silent for half an hour or something like that. There was a great divide between God and evil (all this is supposed to be in future btw) while the evil are tortured. No more pardons, no more chance to repent. Looking back and wishing just ONE last chance. after the end: Somewhere in time we welcomed in the fall. But in the distance we can see shining clear our demise to be. We're not listening to ourselves. I SWEAR all of this is in the bible.
+Alex W. Nice theory, don't forget the "Colours seem to fade. As the morning star surrounds the angels sing." Lucifer was considered the "light bringer" and "morning star" in some Greek/Hebrew versions of the Bible.

It's funny how you say the meaning is so obvious, yet nobody here got it. You did the exact opposite of what you and the song pointed out.
