My favourite salty fragrances are Wood Sage & Sea Salt by Jo Malone (by Christine Nagel who also was the nose for Eau des Merveilles bleu), Sel Marin, Note de Yuzu and Coccobello by Heeley that all share a wonderful sea salt note, and Sel de Vétiver, my first salty fragrance ever, by The Different Company. I just went and sprayed some of the Ellis Brooklyn Salt on my wrist hoping to describe it to you but I’m finding it difficult! 😂 it’s less sweet than the sea salt and fig, it’s a very light scent, a little bit like driftwood, and a tiny bit musky .. (maybe more sandalwood-like than musky :)

Love l'ambre des merveilles- it's gorgeous - even in summer! Although I think edm bleu is better in summer- l'ambre does definitely have a sea salt note
You have missed the absolutely very best one! There is no fragrance better than Calvin Klein 'Reveal', it is absolutely gorgeous! You need to pick up a bottle-I think you would like it. And, you should also try Paco Rabanne 'Pure xs' for her, it has a popcorn note😊

A wonderful sea perfume is Aqua di Sale from Profumum Roma, as you like gourmands, you would discover wonderful creations quite expensive, yes, but so potent and of such a quality: Vanitas, Victrix, Aque e Zucchero, Dulcis in Fondo. You can buy samples on Parfumaria wich is such a wonderfum (e-)shop in Utrecht. Another one is Levante by Nobile 1942, they also make so delicious gourmands. Wood Sage and Sea Salt btimes trying ity Jo Malone, and a surprising one from Cathusia Corallium, very strange and quite difficult to understand but very pleasant, I even don't understand it after 10 times trying it. L'Ambre des Merveilles and Eau des Merveilles are my jam! They have ambergris, so maybe that is what gives the line that salty feel (IDK about the other versions). Also Wood Sage and Sea Salt, which lasts forever on me, is my beach scent. Love your lists, they're always goals.

My personal favourite is Wood Sage & Sea Salt by Jo Malone, but it is 95% identical to the old navy sea salt and fig. However, in that other 5% is an incredible musky cozy atmosphere from the ambrette in the Ws&ss that is so irreplaceable that it made it worth it for me to literally pay 12x the price to get it 🤍 I’ve seen CK Reveal mentioned here as well and it is worth a try.. but if you’ve smelled Vanilla Vibes by Juliette has a gun, you’d have a good idea how it smells 🥰
I absolutely love Olympea the only problem I have is that it doesn’t last too long on me which is so frustrating. Another great one is Viktor & Rolf Magic Salty Flower one sniff and I had to have it. The Key Notes are: Salt Flower Accord, Frangipani Flower, Cashmeran. This fragrance smells fantastic on me and I’m sure it would work well on others that enjoy this type of scent. I definitely appreciate all your opinions and I have really built up my perfume collection since watching your videos lol 😂❤️

The irony is that salt of course does not smell, but we all recognize a salty smell, such as when you smell a bag of chips. But your point is well taken, it is a chemical additive to fragrances which enhances the flavor and gives a fragrance a special "something", like Olympea, one of my favorites!!

I love JHAG Vanilla Vibes. Those salty vanilla notes transport me to a tropical island holiday...I've tried Olympea but found it too salty and intrusively present, if that makes sense?
The salty accord comes from the ambergris. It gives a very salty, ocean-like scent. So even if the fragrance doesn’t list salt as a note, the presence of ambergris is a dead giveaway that there will be a prominent salty note 😀

I have been dying to smell Hermes L'Ambre des Merveilles....but I cannot find it anywhere :/ This whole pandemic crisis doesn't make it any easier either, and its not like I'm about to blind buy it because its pretty pricey! I hear it has an animalic scent to it : ) sounds nice.
I didn’t like EDM Bleue until I sniffed Elixir des Merveilles which I bought immediately.. Now I do like it but I still love the Elixir more. I want to try the original Eau Des Merveilles. Right now, on a whim, I put on Oud For Greatness and it feels salty in a weird way!
