I love this perfume! and especially when I almost don't feel it on my skin, but it still remains on the hair. Catching it with the move of the hair makes me smile.
I had 11 hour connecting flight and it is perfect to visit dity free i try new petfumes. This perfume shocked me in a wierd way. It was nothing I smelled before. The very first impression was of dark, sweet plum liquor. Plum is nowhere in the notes. I kept wondering about it, while being really attracted to Hermes Blue. But something synthetic in Bleu stopped me. I was not sire if I like L'ombre but I purchased it. Went to the bathroom. Washed off all other perfumes off my wrist and sprayed L'ombre. I LOVE IT. It is dark, mysterious, undefined, and there to stay.
I'm currently wearing the sample for the first time and I absolutely love it. I'm at work and 10 hours into my shift and I can still smell it. My coworkers complimented me immediately when I came into work. This is a must have cannot wait to buy it.
“Blind” purchased two 30ml bottles of this after seeing them in Beall’s the other day. Interesting scent, I don’t own any bottles from Hermés. I sampled many scents from them but mostly from the overhyped TdH line which I am not a fan of. I will look more into the EdM line and Hermessence as these seem more interesting to me. Also, loving the bottle, super cute. Still testing the edp. Will gift one of these to my so.
Yes! I was not aware of this fragrance and I tested it on my skin today. I had that same reaction with the opening. It was (is) delightful. Effervescent is what I said as well. I’ve had it in my skin for 6 hours. A real love for me. This rarely happens for me.
Fabulous review - informative and objective. I like this perfume very much, lots of interesting aspects but I couldn’t think of what was missing/not quite right and you summed it up. I now know that for all the multi layering, it is a little thin! I enjoy wearing it now that the weather is cold and it’s perfect for winter. If only it were a little less thin. Thanks so much for clearing that up!
As a male, I've just recently discovered this line...and I really like it.Liked the original, now have to try the amber and this one.Very curious,if they're as good as the original....
mister p! yesterday ive tried it and i fell i love! Its really unique (to my nose at least) and I think it matches my personality. Sadly here in argentina designer perfumes are REALLY expensive (actually the problem is our economy... but thats another thing). Gotta admit: the first spray was marvellous (giggle) but then it faded away... like a skin scent. Anyway... gorgeous perfume
I just bought this yesterday and don’t really relate to your review, but I really love this. It’s my favorite from the line and the only one I had an impulse to purchase.
That’s absolutely fine 😊 The wonderful thing about perfumery is that it can speak to all of us in very different ways. Thanks for watching and taking the time to write.
Persolaise Perfumes Do you find it to have bad longevity? I wore it today, and it didn’t seem to last long, but I wasn’t sure if it was a situation of becoming nose blind.
Thanks very much 😊 I’d say it projects fairly well, but it’s not a ‘monster’. You know me and the whole thing about seasons: I always say wear a perfume whenever you feel like it.
It's my first time watching this review. I love two houses in fragrance community.... Guerlain and Hermés. I want to know if you would recommend this one to me L' ombre Des Merveilies? I love Christine Nagel work on Terre D'hermes Eau Intense Vetiver. Do you like voyage d'hermes parfum and guerlain santal royal? I just ordered L'Ambre Des Merveiles.
@@Persolaise I received the perfume yesterday. I like the dry down, although it only lasted for about three hours on me. Also in my opinion, the opening is quite reminiscent of an aftershave. Although I'd love to smell this on others, it isn't something I'd want to wear on myself. Giving to my brother instead. I've been loving your content. New subbie here. :) Also, It's really nice of you to have taken the time to respond to my comment. Thank you.
@@Persolaise I was wondering from your perplexed expression if there was anything there on the strip to smell ? It does not sound like my kind of thing from the remainder of your review but I do have the Merveilles, the Ambre & the Bleu so I might like it & I do love the bottles - so tactile, which way to tip them to stand up & the lovely shimmmery stars on the flat side.
I agree about the bottles... even though I’m not a bottle fiend. Somewhat surprisingly, I’ve found myself reaching for this in the last few days. I think I’m perplexed/intrigued by the mineralic note. Thanks very much for watching 😊
Thanks for this. There could be several reasons. Most often it’s the fact that I record several videos back to back, and so I do my best to keep my skin as scent-free as possible, in order to make sure I’m not confused by different smells.
I recommend you Loewe 7, for man, by Loewe, of course. It has one of the best incense notes I’ve ever smelled in a perfume. Quite liturgical and the opening is amazing also with a mix of other notes.👍🏻
@@jasonmelo9379 I have the blue one with a wooden cap which is the latest one since Loewe redesigned all their bottles. Try it. It’s so different from other incense fragrances, not dark at all.
@@jasonmelo9379 It’s the blue one with the wooden cap. Not to be confused with Loewe 7 Cobalt which is also a blue bottle but “cobalt blue”. A different smell altogether though.🙂

No, I don’t think I found longevity to be a problem with this one.
Another great review :-) What do you say about its projection ans sillage? Can it be used in the summer too?
Thanks very much 😊

Incense never comes across as genuine in a fragrance. I don't like any incense based fragrances. It's impossible to replicate the smokiness
Perhaps one day you'll find one you like.
