I’m getting ready to start a project like this. Thank you for being so through.

Rustoleum turbo spray paint. Washed first with a green scrubby pad and Dawn. Boom! Done!

Question how long does it last before it is time to paint them again? We got most of the chairs from a family member that downsized their life and that was around 2010. They were not new then and I have painted them three times since then.

Love those chairs...I already knew why it was your favorite chair.
I have a substantial amount of deck furniture exactly like yours...in the past i did the rattle can ...
I think I will try the brush method.. thanks

Takes longer but you get a thicker coat on them. I think at some point I might have to replace my chair, that will be a sad day.

I have this to look forward to tomorrow. Painted my entire gate last year and it turned out beautifully. Watched this to see if i should use spray or brush. Glad i watched this i forgot i need to sand off any rust.

Rust is evil, a good paint job will only last a year or two before it looks like it needs to be painted again.

I used a roller on my gate and i will use one again on the chairs. Just saves time and will not leave brush strokes to worry about.

Rollers definitely save some time. I am semi-retired so time is not as big of an issue as it used to be. Spray paint also gets rid of brush strokes too, good luck.

Do you think a roller would work across the mesh

Yes I think it would, but you would need to use one of those small foam rollers and still put the chair on its side so if the paint does drip it drip back onto the wire mesh below it.

Wear a mask. Not good to get all that rust metal in the lungs. Stay around to make more great videos
