The boss blind reroll into debuffed spades felt like the timeline trying to correct itself for the nonsensical odds of this deck occurring
He 100% would have made it by selling DNA. I think he underestimated the value of +20 multi when it was multiplied several times. Subtracting the two DNA jacks from hit the road, and adding a hand would've gotten him 14 mill in his sleep

if brainstorm and blueprint are encountered and placed next to each other at the same time they should implode and make a legendary joker that copies the effects of every joker (other than itself) equipped

if each card has an equal chance to be chosen, it should be a (1/52)^51 % chance of getting a deck with all the same card without seeds, or a 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000304669847106302% chance
Functionality you only need (1/52)^49 because 3 cards can be not matching with 8 hand size
There's literally more deck permutations than seed permutations (the seed is 8 digits with each digit being one of 36 symbols) so we won't have a seed for each "deck is all one card" possibilities.
@@sirondium 36^8=2.8 trillion, which is vanishingly small next to the chance of this deck existing. If you take his number and multiply by 52, it still isn't even close to 1/2.8 trillion. Probabilistically speaking, it should be impossible for any such deck to exist. I feel like the dev either put it in on purpose or the way the algorithm works is not a simple repeated random selection
@@chasebrower7816 yeah I just did the math, it's insane and the deck generation must either be far from true random or the 10 spades seed is an absolute miracle.
@@sirondium miracle would be an understatement. this is so improbable given the number of possible seeds it has to be a result of manual entry or the RNG being pseudo-RNG.
it would literally never be expected to happen in the lifetime of the universe if it generated 2.8 trillion different seeds every billionth of a nanosecond.
The fact that this seed even exists is beyond astronomically low if we consider the fact that there is only hypothetically 36x36x36x36x36x36x36x36 or around 2.82 trillion seeds possible. the odds of some background code causing something like this to line up like this seem more than likely.
There are slightly more (you have have seeds anywhere from 1 to 8 characters long), but your point is still true.

Hey, I made the program that found this seed! Can confirm that it *is* a bug in the code; funnily enough, the total number of seeds available are actually slightly lower (2.32 trillion) because the game converts zeros (0) to Os since they look the same in the game’s font.
I'm contributing to balamod, and there's nothing in the game's code that hardcodes seeds like that, it's just random chance.
Really bizzare move selling the Card Sharp and Walkie-Talkie at the end. You traded +20 mult and x3 mult for... guaranteed x2 mult.
Plus if you don't have DNA then there's no reason for wasting an extra 3x hand on duplicating some jacks. DNA is a lot better for the long term, but selling it would've 100% cleared that blind.
Would mail-in rebate have always chosen 10 for this seed? If so that's bananas. Would've been like $81 a round.
I think it would have. Baltaro university just had a money run where he used that to trigger kings repeatedly
It will only ever chose a card that exists in your deck - so if your entire deck is just one card it will always pick that card. This is how the Idol joker works as well, which is why it is so strong in some of the crazy runs you see videos of.
Yeah just experienced this with Castle on the checkered deck, it only picks hearts and spades there. It makes a lot of jokers feel less terrible later in the game when you've cultivated a certain deck style.
I JUST DID THIS SEED AND YES MAIL IN REBATE ALWAYS CHOOSES SPADE 10 AND I HAD BRAINSTORM so i got like 250$ per round
edit: also had the idol which only chooses cards in your deck so it was only using 10 of spades
Every card that "seeks" a card will work like this, with the sole exception of Ancient Joker.
39:50 Don't discard Steel jacks for hit the road, adding 0.5 to jack's mult x from x5 to x5.5 is only a 10% increase, but each steel in hand is a 50% more bonus when you have all your flat mult added in the scoring phase.

Probabilities are based on how bad you want something to happen. If it didn’t happen it’s not math you just didn’t want it bad enough.
I want this seed but with twos with Hack and Wee Joker showing up early. I've got that combo twice playing random seeds and they were the most fun runs that I have had so far, I'd like to see it at it's logical extreme.
The skipped Mail-In Rebate at 17:39 hurt a little

passing it up is not as bad as it looks. it changes rank every round, so there is only a 1/13 chance it hits 10 again. he likely would have benefit from it for only one single round before finding something better.
@@VizaruNot sure if you know, but cards like -Ancient Joker- The Idol, Mail-in Rebate, etc; all pull from the cards in the deck(you can think of it like them drawing a single card from a copy of your full deck each time they reroll) -- E.g. if you only have hearts, Ancient Joker will only ever give hearts; and if you only have 10♠, Mail-in will only ever give you 10♠

@Vizaru while that might be true, 3x5 discards for 3$ each is straight up 45$. Even if it's only for the one blind, that's well worth it

Haelian recently had a perfect lucky cat run - all cards being face cards, all face cards played twice, oops all sixes (double probabilities) and lucky cat. All cards being lucky. So sometimes they would trigger the lucky effect twice, there was a combat where the cat got more than a full 1x mult upgrade from it

There are a few times where he discards steel jacks. Steel jacks should always be better than +0.5 mult for hit the road jack.
Consider how x*1.5*1.5 is greater than x*2. This math gets worse as hit the road jack gets higher.
Why turn the lucky 10's into Jacks if the point of the Jacks are just to discard them?

@@soLDotA Yeah i'm typically not the back-seaty Type A chatter kinda guy and Skoots is a WAY better player than me but that genuinely confused me and had me going HWAAA? Lmao. I thought maybe I was missing something so I figured i'd bring it up.
There are 52^52 deck generations, including effective duplicates, and only 36^8 seeds. So about 0% of decks have a seed (actual percentage is 0.304e-77%, but that's almost the same as 0%) the chances of this deck being in that tiny amount of decks possible with a seed is basically nil. What's actually happening is this seed breaks the RNG value into becoming NAN, and NAN for some reason spits out a 10 of spades. It's a rare fluke, but there are likely a few dozen seeds that do this, each will generate a full deck of 10 of spades. This is technically a bug, and this seed in the future may show it's true deck if that bug is fixed.

Moreover, seltzer is giving an extra 50 chips per round. WHICH IS WAS 10/4 WAS DOING ANYWAY

You should do a personal challenge on this seed to convert the whole deck to a full normal deck
Wouldn’t it have been way better to instead of building jacks just building steel cards? The jacks gave 0.5x for each discarded, but steels were 1.5x. Granted you had the joker copied, but I feel like you may have been able to find a better joker set

The odds of this seed occurring can be calculated by the odds of no deck being a case of every card matching
(1/(52 cards ^ 52 cards) * 52 card types = 1/(52^51) for any deck
Then the odds of this deck type not occurring at all in the seed list can be calculated with
(1-1/(52^51)) ^ (seed # = 36^8)
So the odds of there being at least one seed with a mono-card type deck is
1-(1-1/(52^51))^(36^8) = 8.595*10^-74 % odds of occurring. This pretty much has to be a forced seed.
Technically there should be 52 of these seeds

To be fair, the 10 and 4 joker made your score at the start from 3360 in the first round to 9360
or around 2.7x more score, so I dunno (tho yeah, the specificity isn't great)

Not all faces are Jacks, jokers which mention cards by their rank only work with that exact rank

Credit card into ox is actually great, since playing a flush five SETS your money to 0 so if you are -20 it's free 20 bucks

For any mathematicians: a number like 1e-90 is NOT equal to 0. “Mathematically possible” includes these astronomically low probability cases - so please do not misuse this term.
(Though in the Balatro case, it’s much more likely that this is due to the RNG returning NAN)

yeah, there's no chance that this script is checking random seeds until it gets what you need.
it prolly reverse engineered the random starting deck and calculates the correct seed
So I think it was checking for a good seed with walkie talkie and it was a bug that resulted in it being all the same card, so a little bit of both
