From a hobby perspective it might not seem there is any performance difference. But on a day in and day out, variables come into play. The 5 aH battery will have a longer peak power time vs 2.5. A detailer may end up working on a Peterbilt, which has a lot of rivets and bolt heads to work around. How many times do you want to climb up and down a ladder or on and off a scaffold. Modern four door truck roofs. I tend to do larger vehicles. Speaking from using Milwaukee rotary on a Silverado, the 5.0 didn't last 1/4 of the hood, 6.0 would do the whole hood, 8.0 will get a whole side of an extended cab. Tried the 12.0 it was too big, wished Milwaukee would have 1/4 turn the battery on the rotary like how the DA is. Just giving a different perspective.

Do you have the HLR 75 still, are you interested in selling it?

As funny as it sounds, this polisher is so good you want to do the whole car with it. Of course that’s not practical, but I use it in many larger areas that I would not normally use a 3” before.

This is a good polisher but it doesn’t really make much sense nor is it cost effective to pay the difference compared to something else like the cordless rupes and even the corded one. We would only need to use a 3” for maybe 10%-15% of a vehicle which is also another reason why the difference in price isn’t worth it. Maybe would be worth it if the mirka provided results that aren’t achievable with other tools but that isn’t the case here.
