I stayed up until 2:00 in the morning watching this episode of ALL MY CHILDREN to bid my farewell to Phoebe Tyler Wallingford. I grew up with Ruth Warrick playing Phoebe.

Peter White and Francesca James (Kitty & Kelley). From what I read, Phoebe brought Myrtle to Pine Valley to pretend she was Kitty's (I'm guessing here) long lost mother. Somehow, it didn't work and Phoebe received her comeuppance as Myrtle became a nurturing figure much to Phoebe's dismay to her own son, Linc. My favorite scene (between the two) was in December of 1986 when Myrtle harassed Phoebe about pushing all the other women aside in order to catch the bridal bouquet at Cliff and Nina's wedding....then questioning Phoebe how many times would it make if she were to marry again---classic!!!

Ruth Warrick was quite a legend. First as the evil Nurse Janet on Guiding Light, then Aunt Edith on As The World Turns. She worked in Citizen Kane then on Peyton Place. Sadly enough in the UK there were Two Soap Legends who are very ill. Leah Bracknell who played one of The UK Soaps first Lesbian Characters Zoe Tate on Emmerdale from 1989-2005 who is battling Lung Cancer, then Barbara Windsor who played Pub Landlady Peggy Mitchell on Eastenders 1994-2016 who left because she has Alzheimer's.

The only pronlem I had with this episode is that there was a side story with Ryan & Kendall when the whole episode should've been about Ruth Warrick (Phoebe) Then again I was never a fan of Megan McTavish's writing.

Now Peter White is dead, aged 86. Good for him, though for having a long life. We've had so many shocking deaths recently with Tyler Christopher of General Hospital and Matthew Perry of Friends.

I wonder how Peter White felt about the Broadway Revival of The Boys In The Band and that The Actor who played Ian Kipling played Donald. Also Tuc Watkins (Ex David Vickers) from One Life To Live played Hank.

The Duchess was also the nickname of Bo Diddley's Sister who was an amazing Guitar Player. You may have seen her on Hollywood a Go Go where Bo sings "Let The Kids Dance" or The T.A.M.I. Show the classic Rock & Roll Movie.
