  • All My Children, 1994, Stuart falls into a deep depression after Adam brings Stuart's doctor to the court proceeding to prove that Stuart is simple-minded, and manipulated into the incriminating story against Adam. Hayley blasts Adam, declaring that her father is dead to her. Brooke then questions how Adam could ruin the one person who unconditionally loves Adam. Brooke, Charlie and Hayley check on Stuart, and he isn't doing well. Adam arrives at the carriage house, begs for forgiveness, and explains that he is going to plead guilty. Hayley still isn't forgiving. Hayley and Charlie exit. Stuart leaves the room for a moment to get something for Adam. Adam explains to Brooke that her words turned him around. Brooke thinks that remains to be seen. Meanwhile, the Kane Family deals with Mona's death, Julia Barr, Brooke English, David Canary, Adam/Stuart Chandler, Kelly Ripa, Hayley Vaughn, Christopher Lawford, Charlie Brent, Susan Lucci, Erica Kane, Michael Nader, Dimitri Marick, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Kendall Hart, Walt Willey, Jackson Montgomery, Ray MacDonnell, Joe Martin, Mary Fickett, Ruth Martin

Knowing "little girl" Erica as well as I do, I get it that only Mona was by her through it all. So throwing herself on the coffin was totally in character. It wasn"t Daddy who was there, it was Mona, and Fra, so Erica not wanting to have her put in the ground was spot on. She was truly alone. Job well done.

This who episode Adam/Stuart and Erica should have won an Emmy. I dmit I find Luccis being so tiny frightenly adds to thelittle girl the short skirts she looks so fragile it adds to the drama. Everyone did a great job nick, Mark, phoebe, Jack, Bianca, even selfish Kendall, Dimitri, the Martins were amazing. Ditto for Adam, Stuart, Brooke et al but the death was so powerful.

I've seen comments on other videos from Mona's funeral about how rude it was for Erica to kick Kendall out. Here are my thoughts....Kendall started numerous problems in town: lying to Erica about being raped (that lie nearly cost Dimitri his life), bringing Richard Fields to town, locking Bianca in the mausoleum, and other manipulations. It's understandable, given this history, that Erica feared Kendall was going there to cause trouble, hence why she asked her to leave. I also don't recall Kendall and Mona being close. Some other comments also claimed "Erica started the argument"....I don't see Erica's calm demeanor as synonymous with arguing.
    Other remarks:
    1. I loved how nice Brooke was to Erica. While their best scenes are of course when they spar, they also had many great interactions when they were civilized.
    2. Phoebe was a class act when she spoke. I recall the tasteless party many PV people threw when they thought David died back in 2010. Clearly they didn't see what Phoebe did here. THAT is how you honor someone you disliked, i.e. say something to the effect of "Mona was a great and strong woman. It's just a shame that it took her death for me to admit it!"
    3. Erica throwing herself on her mom's coffin was understandable and in character. She realized during these episodes how Mona always supported her throughout all their squabbles. After she held in all the emotion, it'd not be realistic if she let out a few tears or a typical crying episode

Kendall was Mona s granddaughter and she had every right to be at her grandmother s funneral . Yes Kendall was a trouble maker but Erica was no little lamb , different methods maybe but so like mother like daughter, Mona started out reaching out to Kendall but back off a bit because of Erica but there was a true connection between Kendall and Mona .

@@robincoffman6723 last I checked, while Erica was sometimes nasty to Mona, she never reached the lengths of lying about rape, kidnapping a child, locking someone in a mausoleum, etc. when it came to her mother
In my view, Kendall did not belong there. If you watch the 1994 episodes preceding Mona's death, she and Kendall did not seem to have a strong bond and that had nothing to do with Erica but Kendall's transgressions.

Mine was owned by Ruth Warrick
Very tragic. Each script is like a play
70 pages of dialogue for the day.
The writers would start with a breakdown , including feelings and character reaction.
The top writer would okay storyline and then director got the breakdown
I have a breakdown by Mctavish that had big crosses through it. That part of the storyline was turned down.
