Granted that in his fathers time there were no dirt bikes that produced enough power to make those kinds of jumps or have the acceleration of a Honda CR500 that Robbie rode. If Evel's era was the in the same timeliness Robbies was then I wouldn't doubt his father would have been on a CR500 aswell, rather than the 750 four stroke his father used later on, the CR500 2 stroke dirt bikes are absolutely killer bikes.
I partly blame the Harley for the failed Caesar's Palace jump.
@@rtqii Why blame Harley?, Evel was using a Triumph on that attempt.
@@twiggyb67 Big street bike or flat track bike, they weigh too much and don't have suspensions for landing jumps.
Yeah I think that’s a CR 500 he’s on. No sloucher by any means but there’s something extra gnarly about doing this on a Harley Davidson.

Robbie and Evel are fun to watch because they land so sketchy every time. Travis or Maddison control the bike to land clean but the Knievels just huck it.
