This video is perfect for helping me figure out the various modes on my OSMO 3 Mobile - thanks for the great explanations and examples.
I found out that you CAN actually set the OSMO to change modes directly from the gimbal controls - in the DJI Mimo app, go to the settings panel, select "Gimbal" and then you can change "Press M Button" to "Quick Menu". Now when you press M you can choose the mode using the control stick.

You can also set the selection of mode through joystick, all you have to do tap on the three dots in the bottom left corner while in video mode tap on the camera icon , you can see the press M button play around you can set yourself

I also own the v3 and it's really transformed my videos. The only problem is we Android users have to use 3rd party apps, such as Filmic Pro, for full manual control. Really wish they'd update this for the Android Mimo app. As usual, thanks for sharing 👍

I found this convenient to use M button to switch modes.. this is just so much quicker..
you have to find in settings Press M Button - Quick Menu.. from there you can change how you use M button, whether this is only switching between Photo and Video or full menu!

I got OM 4 3 weeks ago! It's my first gimbal and I happy with it! Thank you for your videos and explanations ! Also I start o learning how to colorize v-log videos from Filmic Pro in DaVinci Resolve. Very interesting part :)
Love your videos They are very well done and super-helpful. I mave an OM 4 SE, and for the life of my I dont think the gimball goes into "low position" mode... Definitely no indicator, and i do not see much difference in terms of behaviour to just put the gumball upside down...

I tried to use the low position mode but every time I hold the gimbal toward me and hold the lock button the gimbal doesn’t put the phone in low position mode and rather it points on the ground. Any idea how to get it to work?
I found that putting it in tilt lock mode then holding the trigger gave the best solution to this problem. It requires carefully manipulating the gimbal handle (attached to a monopod as suggested) to get the phone into the low position "position" with the monopod upwards to your hand, but you have to be careful that the gimbal does not come into shot as it pans with your movement.

Thanks for the video and explanations. However, I am quite dissatisfied with the quality of stabilization of this gimbal .... a slow shaking of the video is noticed. I wonder if there is any option that can define the video stabilization sensitivity?

Thank you! As far as I know, the Mimo app only shoots at 30fps. At least on my S9 that is the only option

thanks! Actually just a little tripod, but it wasn't the best option to be honest. Best to get some kind of extension bar or monopod. Some people use a light stand

If I could ask .... I mainly use mine for shooting bands in dark pubs. I've noticed that the gimbal " follows the light" rather than where I'm trying to point it.

It shouldn't follow the light unless you're using motion tracking. All modes follow your movement, but in different ways
Cannot get the tilt lock mode to work to do a jib-like shot. As I tilt the camera up, it gimbals towards the ground. I have calibrated it, etc. but at the end of a boom pole it simple will not stay fixed so I can swing the pole and view up.. OM4 and iPhone 12 Pro (not max) and Mimo software. Any ideas?

I only have android so I think this gimbal works very well. The best of the small gimbals I've tried

I think you might be over the official max weight, but the gimbal will probably still work it just might wear out quicker. So you might be better off with a Crane M2

I have the Osmo 3, Is anyone experiancing difficulty with the "HOLD TRIGGER" button to activate the LOCKED MODE? As well as the "TILT LOCK MODE" they are both not working or doing what is shown here in this video. Any help or advise would be really appreciated. Thank you and cheers!

Another good one thanks. BTW you can switch between different modes using the joy stick. Flick it quickly to the right and the mode menu appears then you can toggle between them with the up/down of the joystick.

do you have an iPhone? because I can't get that joystick flick to work on my Samsung. I heard that the Mimo app has less features for android
No Iphone I only use android which is why I find your content so relevant. Sorry I mis-informed you (I've just tried it) One solid press of the function button will bring up the camera modes and THEN a flick to the right brings up the gimbal modes. Hope this helps you as much as you've helped me

@@SiHorrocks yes. Function or Mode button. The press is longer than orientation but shorter than on/off if that makes sense.
bummer they didn't add 60fps to android on the Mimo app, just got the osmo 3 and that's the only downside :(

@@abdelhakr.5859 personally, I use Google drive. But you can also connect it direct to a PC and find the files in the phone then drag and drop across. If you use a Mac then you can use Android File Transfer program

Unfortunately the APP only works optimally with iphone. Many functions do not work with Android. It's a shame, as many Android phones are already better than the iphone. I can only recommend the Filmicpro APP. This works just great with Android and Gimbal OSMO mobile 3.

Nice tutorial. But most of your video-results are jerky. Why?
Osmo 4 is a massive let down.How can it still not able to handle a max size phone with case and attachment lenses without counterweights? Even with counterweights it's not great. Also using FilmicPro barely works with this. Ugh..
