Here in Florida my total cost to charge my EV is $31 a month, which is $372 a year maximum. I charge at home under the FPL program. While you ICE loving owners continue to pay up and down prices for gasoline, and paying ridiculously high cost fillups each month. Yes, electric vehicles do cost a little more upfront but the fuel, savings is incredible. Oh, did I mention that my EV goes 0-60 mph in 3 seconds?
@@TheJLMDT Now this I do agree with. CarPlay support should never have been taken away. GM should’ve foreseen software-focused vehicles before ever adopting CarPlay if they were going to pull a move like that.
Wow the interior is really nice. Way nicer than any Tesla. I love the steering wheel, and the screens. They look so sick. 0-100km is 6.0 seconds. The rear wheel drive Tesla model 3 is around 6 seconds to. So not sure what Drew’s talking about. His car is the same speed as this blazer RS.
Nicer? Because of the random textures, materials, and colored leather? It's more interesting for sure but "way nicer"? That's debatable. Those giant chrome vents are hideous and the red leather is very Boy Racer-esque. Pass.
@@TecnamTwinno it's nicer because of design details like more stitching, more interesting surfaces and the vents. That's why it's nicer. Tesla interiors are minimalist and akin to what we used to consider acceptable in lower end ICE vehicles
Boom! Just like gas, raise it .25c a gallon when any oil spikes occur(despite the lead time is about 60-90days from the oil you burn to the oil they are actually buying. Then when oil drops? Like last week, drop prices a mere .5c and people sigh and say it's finally going back down! 😂
Finally a perfect EV! Just got one for $45.5K! Hard to believe people want to race on highways and get tickets! I love this car but am a bit bothered by touch screens which drove me away from Tesla! No double clicking as most used move to one spot! The best EV I ever had was the Ford Focus EV which was all conventional controls but to primitive to keep! Every EV is the best car I ever had, better and better!
The column shifter being annoying to pull back? That is how they all used to work. If anything you shouldn't be allowed to move it up and down without pulling back on it as mechanical column shifters all work.
I would look at other Ultium platforms like the Lyriq which is much closer to the high end Model Y’s and the Acura ZDX both made in the GM Spring Hill Assembly in Tennessee. The Blazer definitely cut some corners compared to the other two to bring the price down. GM getting Google to do their software is a good decision as they will be able to update very quickly OTA.
The big deal is these new things target Teslas weakness over and over - they are A LOT more like the cars we are used too rather than a new animal on the street. What started me looking outside of Tesla was a person who has a 3 and could not get the passenger door open quickly to let her kid into the car. I don't have one so I don't know her experience, but I HAVE had to fumble to "find the button" quickly to let someone in when I stopped somewhere I shouldn't have. It woke me to the thought how outside the norm the Tesla really is and things stated to add up. Now for the very first time I am considering a car outside of Tesla especially with the Supercharger network opening to other cars. I find the Lyriq (and maybe) the Blazer a much safer entry point now than Tesla. Thank you for doing this video, I personally appreciate it cause I have watched you so long, your thinking patterns have become familiar to me :) 👍👍👍👍
Not safer in a crash, not more efficient, less performance, less standard features, costs more and do not charge as fast. Plus not as many locations with trained tech's to service them as tesla has. Good luck with an inferior LIKELY much less American made more expensive vehicle to protect your family in you absolute muppet! 😀
I'm quite curious to see this coming soon refreshed ultium uograded bolt euv next year! If it's around 30k to start and 35 or so loaded, with the full tax credit? I expect it'll quickly become gms "ultium" best ev seller. So of course they'll refuse to ramp up production for years! 😀👍🏻
Great! Looking forward! Maybe an in depth review of the super cruise package on there as well? I have an EUV with supercruise and I think it does a fantastic job aside from not being able to switch lanes…

Pile on on your "Quality Of Life" phrase - brilliant and the Achilles heal of Tesla. Expand that phrase to include "familiarity". Maybe you can help wake Tesla up, I'm still in their fan club :)
I think they should take the Y and turn into 3 cars. A low end one, no sunroof, cloth seats, no electric hatch, a smaller battery, low price. The current Y as it is as #2. A luxury one with amazing ride and quiet, a sunroof that closes, a center console on the dash, and old school buttons for windows, doors, mirrors, and radio. They can even do it Peugeot style where it's ALL on the center console. Tesla has simply gone to sleep and is missing the center chunk of the market and still appealing to the fringe buyers. That has worked, but I think the stock will stall as others "eat its dinner". I still have a strong urge to be a Tesla fanboy, but I'm cracking lol.

The height of the HUD is adjustable. I'm tall and had to lower it all the way down to see the full frame, otherwise the top would get cut off.
