Wow $1.98 For The ROTH OUTLAW Model Kit, Brings Back Memories . ILL Take A Bunch Of Them At That Price. OH The Good Old Days. Gone But Not Forgotten. Thanks For Showing It.
And I think back to the days of my youth, Hobby Heaven 5.96 and over a handful of places locally to pick up kits for 8-11 bucks!! Miss those days for sure!
Great old kit! They sure build up as great mild kustoms straight out of the box! Andcthat magazine..i have been in love with Stuckeys Li'l Coffin since i was a little kid! The absolutly best boxart that i like is from that kit, have that box and i treasure it highly (sadly just the box). Just need to get a kit and build it so i can display them together. Great video buddy! 👍
That Lil Coffin has been one of my faves as well! Pops has that nice Kandy Purple one built up, I want to build one at some point also, they look killer on the shelf!
Very cool stuff. I really like how you show vintage kits. I know sometimes vintage kits get repopped and they don't add parts or changes. Very educational
I had the model and the magazine when they were new. I paid the $1.49 for the 39-40 Tudor at least twice since I was an early customizer. I even bought one as a second issue(?) and weathered it to look like it was pulled out of a junkyard and someone started to hot rod it. I had the Monogram model of the Li'l Coffin and really liked the molded in deep red color. I was also slot car racing at our local track that had been a large grocery store and was converted with three custom built tracks. Short, medium and long distances. The long one even ran a 500 lap race each year. Good memories, thanks for posting!
Makes me regret not picking up one of the vintage 40 Ford Coupe kits a lady was selling at the Fremont IPMS show a few months ago. She had like four or five of them.
These vintage kits are so cool, its like a video model car museum! Love old magazines for the same reason, loved the ads and seeing how they did things. Thanks for another great video brother!

Kewl stuff Paul. I'm diggin the 40 Ford Sedan. That got pretty hot for the tire to melt into that hood.
Right! I have only picked up a few kits where that had happened but have seen folks discuss it!
