- Hey there again. I need to bleed my fj62 's brakes and get the car driving again but now the car won't start. I need to check the starter motor, the ignition relay, the battery. I feel like there are more and more setbacks!

Good video man! I put in a new starter on mine, then it began not starting….. click, click…then I got under it and pulled out the old, filthy starter connector that goes to the ignition. Yep, started right up, but then it started only intermittently, so I had to crawl under the rig and pull out the wire, insert it and cross my fingers it’d start. Finally got a new modern clip-in plug, but I haven’t installed it yet. But soon.

Nice video mate. I had to replace the rear masters, and the front calipers, just old and deteriorated. Front caliperss weren’t able to bleed.
Only thing I would have changed was I would have rebuilt them vs replace. I also snipped (with a grinder) the tabs of the diff that connect the metal brake lines to the flexible hose. I used a little metal bracket that bolted to both pieces so you can easily remove the caliper without needing to completely crimp the Flexi...
Yeah awesome idea. Front end brakes and swivel hub is such a daunting task, I think I’m gonna do it very last. Next up is lights then RUST!!!!!!!!

Just got into the game and try a get a fj62 roadworthy, having issues getting her to start reliably, just cranking over and over till it eventually stutters into life, done the timing, spark gap checked point gap and all ignition leads, think it’s the carb but don’t really know, any tips?
Maybe the carb. Fuel pump? I’ve got nearly 300,000ks and I start pretty well.
There are Carby rebuild kits available but I’m not brave enough for that

I find that buddy. Just replaced it. But you can bridge the relay with some wire?

Sorry man I honestly don’t know much about deisel engines. But if once it runs, it stays running then it sounds like maybe a tuning issue? If it’s the 2h engine, there are some great videos online on the engines and I’d say you find some really good in depth videos on them too. Good luck mate
