Thank you for uploading these video`s, I am a new subscriber to you channel, and just starting out in N gauge, It will be on a 2x4 base board, thinking along the lines of a 1930s branch line, thanks again, Terry.
First of all, welcome to the channel, and glad that you're enjoying the videos, and a 4x2 layout is always a good choice when starting out, enough space to do a fair amount in but portable so can pop it away when needed. And do enjoy the 30's time period, much more colourful liveries than compared to BR times!
@@GosportRailworks I have been watching the Sir John betjeman films on Branch line railways, have you ever seen them, they are very interesting, such a pity that Beeching axed them.
I got mine from either eBay or Hattons second hand, they do pop up now and then, alternatively Union Mills do make a 2251 Class as well labelled as a Collett Goods, hope that helps.
They did make another, a LMS Jubilee and had plans to make more, but other than those two the others didn't get made from what I know, only thing I can think of was they weren't as profitable as they hoped, but it is bit disappointing as the 2251 is a very nice loco.
True, plus it does seem that Peco are making plenty of money making track in pretty much every Gauge and they do make a wide range of affordable wagons and they do make scenery items as well.
