A Newbies review: Rapido Trains UK SECR Wagon Packs

- They've finally arrived, and yes I did buy at least one pack of each, but we'll just be looking at the pack which has one example of each wagon just to show them off today.
And these wagons are quite nice, very well detailed and free rolling, though they are on the light side which could cause problems, for the closed vehicles adding weight shouldn't be an issue but the open wagons might be bit more tricky if you don't want a load.
But still very impressed with these packs regardless!

Great review James and lovely models. Initially I thought 'bit expensive' but only as I love building the peco wagon kits which are cheap as chips, but if you bought a similar set of Farish models, it would still be close to £70, so £85 is not too bad especially when you factor in Rapidos quality. Might be tempted myself
Cheers very much, and they are a bit pricy but yeah it's not so much compared to the usual Farish prices, but would assume that if they made further runs of them they would be cheaper since they should've paid off the tooling by then!
Hopefully anyway heh, but they are very nice wagons personally, well made and unique, if I didn't have some already I'd be tempted as well heh
Hi James. Great review. I bought the same four pack and am very impressed with them. Not the first six wheel wagon for N Gauge though, how about the Dapol milk tankers ? Keep up the good work. Pete.
Glad that you enjoyed it Pete, and also glad that you are also enjoying the wagons as well!
And I forgot about that milk wagon, which funny enough I do own one of heh
Either way I'll keep making reviews when I can!
A great review James. As nice as the six wheel brake van is, it will not entice me away from my LMS bias. However it is good to see a manufacture adding variety to what is available RTR, Richard
Ta very much Richard, and no worries heh, but I do agree it is nice to see some more variety in what's offered as a RTR item, hopefully they'll be inticed to bring out more!
Hi James

Rapido UK have done an amazing job in scaling down it from double o to n
