I haven't heard this song since I was a teen when my sister played her Backstreet Boys CD nonstop. I have since lost my sister and until today didn't understand that this was not a love song but a loss song and damn I miss my sister so much.
The boys had had a rough time. Brian had open heart surgery. He was born with a hole in his heart. A.J. lost his grandmother. The film Kevin was watching was of his late father. Howie lost his sister to Lupus. Dennis Pop died of cancer. And there is more but you vet the idea.
@@marikelrenacruz1921 What really makes me feel really sad for him is not only the fact he struggles with the popular opinion of Aaron's fans who grew believing everything he said in his worse times, but the fact that in an interview Nick admitted that his wake up call to a healthy life was watching himself in the mirror and thinking, "I don't want to be *that* person that you turn on the television and say, 'Oh we feel very sad because he dide'". We all know Aaron didn't pass away in his best condition and Nick probably will feel guilty for not being able to help his brother out (though is not blame at all being that he tried to help him times before)
This video/song hits home for me, I lost my little brother to homicide in 2008 and today my grandson was born deceased. It's a horrible thing to have to experience! But, thank you for your reaction to this song.
It seems such a crime to keep referring to these immensely talented men as a. "Boy band". They may have begun their careers as one but have grown into so much more.

It's ironic and sad that the only one who had no losses in that video was Nick and now 4 of his siblings and his father have died.

I'm sorry for your losses. The death of a young child is never easy. Lost a nephew 16 years ago when he was 5 months old. Much lo e and stay strong.
