George Lazenby (Australian Actor) played Bond in "Her Majesty's Secret Service". Though he only played 007 once he still has been a favourite of some James Bond fans.

I like how people in the comments all shout, Sean, no Roger Moore...bah Pierce is the best...no Daniel Craig....etc...it just goes to show the variety. Cubby Broccoli always said...people go to these films because of James Bond...not the actor portraying him. They have all had their charm and made it their own...and that is the key to the success.
Interestingly, what you’re describing is the reason why Daniel Craig’s portrayal hit me differently and unexpectedly made him my favorite. I liked all actors, I watched because of the world of Bond, the action, the suaveness. Craig was the first one that made me actually care about the character

Hey.. and what about George???? He was a good Bond and HMSS was a new direction, more dramatic and it turned out to be a great movie. But critics were obsessed with Sean Connery at that time and destroyed him. It looks like they still don’t like him because he was not an actor but a model…
Lazenby destroyed himself by being an overconfident idiot and rejecting to act in any further Bond movies because apparently “Bond was a thing of the past”.
@@jimmilton4543 True, he had the reputation to be a jerk on set and he declined himself to be cast in any sequel. It does not change the fact he played James Bond once so the Oscars should not cancel him.

@@jazzdub4958 5th. Not that he was bad, not at all and some of the films are really enjoyable, but he wasn't much of a "Bond" really. And some of the others were just too great. Never been a bad Bond actor in my opinion, just bad movies and sometimes they took a little too much liberties with the character. Never really liked most of Pierce Brosnan's movies, but I thought he was an excellent Bond.

That's just your opinion. There's plenty of people who like Craig the most. I've seen 80% of the Bond films and I'd say Pierce is my second favorite and Sean is my third.
