I like this one, the theatrical cut to be specific. Its dark, creepy, atmospheric and Michael Myers was scary and brutal. Also, this is the scariest sequel after the first film (my opinion) and Michael's mask is an improvement over 4 & 5. Now, I understand this film is hated because of thorn plot (which I wasnt a fan) but Michael slaughtering them was a relieve for me because it negates the idea that Thorn is Michael's "source" of evil which means Michael's evil still remains a mystery like in the original, thats how I see it.
Don’t get the hate for this but everybody loves 4 when 4 is just a wannabe 1. 6 took chances brought a different vibes. Answered a lot of questions and myers is insane. Arguably the best myers with the best mask. 6>H20
The 3 biggest things this movie got right 1. The Mask imo the closest one that really resembles the first one. 2. Micheal Myers. Love how he was presented here the most brutal version and arguably the most scariest thus far. 3. The cinematography. The mood and atmosphere is damn good. It feels like its halloween. But damn just the story fucking sucks haha.
How is 4 boring compared to this? Part 4 has better characters in Danielle Harris and Ellie Cornell...who does this have? The always smiling Paul Rudd? Part 4 has good kills like the shotgun impalement, thumb in the forehead and more...it has good chases like the house rooftop chase sequence...it has a better ending with more interesting possibilities...Donald Pleasance has more screentime, presence and dialogue...how is part 4 'more boring' than part 6? The doctor bit? The One that is just flashes of light and epileptic seizures? And how is this 'the best Myers'?
@@ramboraph4life 4 is just a wannabe 1, that mask is horrible! the budget looks horrible he was doing kills tht arent true Myers they were just trying to fit in to the 80s slashers...only good part is the ending...6 took chances..6 tied everything together..6 u get Michael at his most angriest..the mask was great the kills were great..the jamie kill the doctor scene i can keep going...get some taste
The Thorn cult storyline is ridiculously dumb. There was only like 1 decent kill in the whole movie. At least Jason Goes To Hell didn't take itself seriously and delivered some entertaining gory kills
I still wish Halloween III: season of the witch was successful or someone even as indie films could of done something with that concept. Unique one off stories. I personally enjoyed Halloween III and appreciated what it did and tried to do to bring something fresh for the franchise.
Had did a cult get involved in the original Halloween movies? When I saw the first two Halloweens, I never thought a cult was involved. What was going to be next, reincarnation or soul transfer if this plot continued for another movie or movies? As for the actual Cult Of Thorn from the Dark Ages, there is really no ties to that and this film. Whoever wrote things about The Thorn Cult made up stuff to make this film is plot happen, like having a "transferable mark" for some reason that involves a cult and child/children? To keep Cult alive? Makes killer immortal? WHAT?????? The Irish Witch/Halloween Lore makes a lot more sense in Season Of The Witch than the cult stuff in this film.
I hate this movie as well but u gotta remember when it comes to Jamies fate that she did kill someone at the end of part 4, so she really shouldn't be that sympathetic of a character, the biggest crime was killing off Elie Cornell 10 minutes in to part 5.
Yeah this movie was really bad it’s definitely in my Top 5 Worst Halloween (Franchise) Films there’s better movies to watch that came out that same year like Bad Boys, Die Hard With A Vengeance, Goldeneye and many others I suggest those 3 movies to anyone if they wanna see a movie that was released in 1995
I'll actually be watching this movie for the first time next week in preparation for the new one so maybe I'll watch your commentary along with the film when I eventually get around to it, especially since this is considered to be one of the lesser entries in this weird ass franchise.
Plot twist: It's not Jamie. It's her decoy. Halloween: Bad Blood reveals this.

5:30 to 5:50 good reason for Matt to review Daniel Farrands movies. bad in a funny way
Halloween 2018 even takes elements from Rob Zombies films. With the dirty mask and the head stomp kill lol.
If you listen to the director commentary he keeps talking about what he wanted to do, but the studio wouldn't let him.
Arguably the best Myers with the best mask. That doctor scene is insanity. Ppl hate 6 but love boring ass 4 lol.

You’re right Matt. There’s a version that combines both cuts. It still sucks.
I like this movie even with its flaws..way better than producers cut.
And this is why I prefer The Return of Micheal Meyers (1988).
3 is even better than this

This movie is almost entertaining in a bad way just for the idea of Rudd being one of the stars

Why the fuq is michael wearing black leather gloves on the movie cover? Lol that always bothered me.

She didn't kill in part 4. In part 5, it was said in dialogue that the person survived.
@@ramboraph4life That is my mistake, it's been so long since I saw that pile of shit, forgot or missed that, thanks for the correction👍
Then again she still attempted murder, I'm mixed on whether she should be a sympathetic character. Good commentary.
It's also Dominique's fault.

Other better films that came out that year : Heat, Se7en, Waterworld, Casino, jumanji and crying freeman
The Usual Suspects is another 1995 classic.
In both cuts it sucks and I saw this in theaters at 13 and it blew like five! Five screwed the franchise over
I agree 2018 is better than this shit, Dr. Loomis is wasted, we don't even get to see if he was killed by Myers or if Loomis succeeds wtf.
curse is the worst sequel of the entire franchise. both cuts are awful but the producer’s cut is at least competently edited.
Both versions of the movie suck.
I like it for what it was
Lame film
Funny ranting commentary
