Absolutely going to introduce these games to my friends and the guests at our events in the future. Thank you so much for the amazing videos, you teach so many great things :D
As a Japanese history geek/lover, I enjoy watching you experience the games that Maiko play, I love learning about Oiran, Geisha, Maiko, etc! Thanks for this! Edit: I’m trying the first game with my friends.
So, for a quick note, I saw Detective Conan Movie 7: Crossroads of the Ancient Capital. I've been shockingly surprised that the activities in Kyoto on the film and your video are very interesting and helpful for me, Thank you so much for strengthening my interests in Kyoto ❤😊
I admit to me these games always looked a bit silly/goofy so for years I wondered why they'd be so appealing to Japanese men. I had never considered the fact that everyone in the room will probably be *_completely wasted_* in less than an hour and then the games might actually become a lot of fun. Just trying to play and failing miserably because you're so drunk is probably hilarious in itself. 🥴
It is traditionally part of the" boys night out" atmosphere of the tatami room banquet. It was strictly private and it gave an opportunity for the serious, mostly middle aged married men to act silly with the Maikos, who were essentially teen aged girls.
I mean... beer pong isn't really that interesting, when it comes down to it... or Musical chairs... which people like to play (adults as well) or pretty much ANY drinking game.
As someone who unironically owns fans (I have no AC) I feel a strong urge to make a DIY tosenkyo kit. Anyone know if I can find the point chart in English?
I had a huge amount of fun watchnig this video. I found myslef smiling constantly as you played. Thank you for bringing joy and laughter to this viewer.
I think Tora Tora is my favorite. Its very funny! I'd love to play it whenever I have time :). (Im also very impressed with Harumi's fan throwing skills)
Great video! 💗💗💗 Thank you for sharing these beautiful traditional games with us. They seem to use skillful attention and sensitivity. Congratulations to all of you for spreading joy and kindness. Wishing the best to your channel. 💗🙏💗
I loved the fan throwing game so much. I'm not into sports buti would actually watch a tournament of this! Like. I'd pay for tickets and everything. Thank you for showing me something new and fun.
Hey Shogo. I know I'm late but congrats on having 1 million sub. I honestly never thought that you would actually make it before 2023. Now your goal is to reach 1 billion subscriber by 2100?😂
I really enjoying a lot this episode, it's my 10th time watching this. All of you are so fun to watch. I am your avid fan/subscriber here in the Philippines.
I want to play all these games with my friends. Tora-tora was my favorite. I was surprised at how badly Kazu did at Tosenkyo. I just realized how much Hinata looks like Harumi!
Tosenkyo looks like a lot of fun! And very complex! It seems easy but the scoring seems hard! I'd love to find an english scoring system and try it for myself!
hopefully overseas travel will resume soon without any restrictions! atleast I can visit Japan and see different world 🌎 😌 ::actually that games seems interesting 🤔 and that instrument sounds soothing 😊
The game with the small round box is like scissors, rock, paper. It's when you literally throw out your hand, facing another person simultaneously, and it has three configurations, flat hand, fist and two parted forefingers which represent scissors. The flat hand represents paper and the fist a rock. Scissors cut paper, rock blunts scissors and paper wraps rock. This is the winning configuration. The same hand, for example scissors versus scissors, is a draw.
Hugely enjoyed this demonstration of traditional Japanese games. Many thanks Shogo! May I ask whether you’d consider a similar video focusing on incense games? There is very little English language content on these

Someone can totally make an incredibly intense and competitive anime out of these games
Oh boy. I can see that already & being overdramatic.
Super Midnight Fan Typhoon!
I would watch it too 😅
The real star of this video was obviously Nagi cheering for her dad.
This comment needs comments
"We lost." While smiling broadly and waving glass in celebration.
I didn't even know maiko had their own games. This is amazing.
All of the games looked like so much fun, but I must pick "Tora, Tora" as my favorite! (And I'm impressed with Harumi's skill throwing a fan! :) )
The first one was my favorite.
She made me think games and anime fan throwing where real!
😁
Tora tora is such a funny game ! Thank you for showing it , guys !
Me gusta ese juego
I love Geishas, especially in their appearance. The beautiful brightly colored kimonos and red lipstick is stunning.
There was so much joy in this video! Thank you for providing a learning opportunity, a delightful musical experience and laughter!! What a treat!!
The way I laughed at Kazu losing the fan game to Tomoko, I literally had tears in my eyes when he got the minus two! 😩😂
these games look surprisingly fun.
Actually tho
Even better w/ beer!
Gimme some drinks & I'll have a blast. XD
Absolutely going to introduce these games to my friends and the guests at our events in the future. Thank you so much for the amazing videos, you teach so many great things :D
I'm gonna have the shamisen tune from the Konpira Fune Fune game stuck in my head for days. It's so catchy!
This seem to be a great entertainment in general ! Thank you for making a video about it shogo !
i love this new format soo much, how it is playing out and how we are able to know and meet the whole team! very very nice video indeed
Tora Tora song will be living in my head forever now...🤣
Always love how fun and informative your videos are! Thank you again for your hard work!
Definitely live stream - that was so much fun. All the games looked fun!
Such a simple game, yet requiring lightning- fast response and timing; easy to learn but WAY hard to master…
This is the cultural fill that I continously enjoy from your channel! It's great to learn about the games that you enjoy in Japan.
As a Japanese history geek/lover, I enjoy watching you experience the games that Maiko play, I love learning about Oiran, Geisha, Maiko, etc! Thanks for this!
Edit: I’m trying the first game with my friends.
thank you for helping me once again start my day with learning 🤗
Honestly I'd love to see you guys playing these games most, especially loved tosenkyo personally. I'd love to learn and play it myself some day
These games looks so wonderful and fun to play it's very great to see the whole team and the laughter in the air is very contagious
That was SO much fun to watch. Love your channel.
Harumi is now lord of the fan!! Congratulations to winner maybe time boys!! These games looked fun. Thanks for sharing this with us.
This looks fun! Tora Tora looks like charades. 11:50 that answered my question about what happens if you don't drink. Nagi is very cute!
7:16 so "Tora-tora" was a Japanese "Samson and Delilah" game, just replace "Samson, Lion, Delilah" to "Spearman, Tiger, Grandma"

Wow 😯these games are so fun i gonna definitely gonna try this with my sister
Love you from India
This was a really fun video. Thank you Shogo. I liked the Tora, Tora game and the fan game.
As someone who unironically owns fans (I have no AC) I feel a strong urge to make a DIY tosenkyo kit. Anyone know if I can find the point chart in English?
I was so invested during to tosenkyo! Would love to see that on stream 😁
The 1st game was my favorite, but they all look so fun! Congratulations to Harumi & Tomoko! (Hope I spelled your names right.)
Looks like both parties win Harumi and Tomoko-chan having fun with the games and Shogo and Kazu-san enjoying some beer 🍻 ☺️
this is the best one you have done yet ! so funny
I had a huge amount of fun watchnig this video. I found myslef smiling constantly as you played. Thank you for bringing joy and laughter to this viewer.
I like tosenkyo the best, but all of the games were really fun to watch. I first heard about tosenkyo from a BAND-MAIKO music video.
I loved this video!! I wanted to see more of these games of a while now. Laughed out loud many times!
Those are great drinking games. Fun, music and culture at the same time. You guys are doing great things. Lovin' the new ideas for videos.
Shogo's evil face was priceless 💀🤣
I think Tora Tora is my favorite. Its very funny! I'd love to play it whenever I have time :). (Im also very impressed with Harumi's fan throwing skills)
That looked like fun. Harumi was the star, but the baby stole the show.
this looks so fun! Thanks for doing this. Love it!!
9:31
Shogo is absolutely unhinged.
So much fun, as always. :)
I'm not giving up hope that Kazu will win something someday somehow... Go Team Kazu!

I really liked the songs. I also thought Harumi has a very nice singing voice!
Team Shogo, you guys are so beautiful! I love this video!
Wow Shogo can chug a beer 🍺 . Looks like he learned a lot of life skills in university xD
Wait a minute; Shogu gets the beer because he LOST the game? (so the winner goes WITHOUT beer?) 🤔
Chris, this makes the bad players quickly even more drunk. So you either have fun winning or fun drinking. I like the social dynamic of this.
@@websnail in America, it’s typically the other way ‘round; where do I sign up for games like that??? 🍺🙂
He drank the beer even though he won because Tomoko doesn’t drink alcohol.
@Chris Mayer
No its not. I live in America, and played a lot of drinking games. Loser drinks.
Amazing video I loved learning about these! I found this video while looking for a tutorial on how to play and sing the Konpira Fune Fune song.
Tora-tora - is the favorite game for me. But everyone each of them so much fun! Thank you!
tomoko's playing was so cool! great video!!!
Great video!
this video was so much fun and even informative, i was laughing with you guys the whole time
I loved the fan throwing game so much. I'm not into sports buti would actually watch a tournament of this! Like. I'd pay for tickets and everything. Thank you for showing me something new and fun.
You guys all had so much fun, this was great to watch!
Nice and fun games with straight wins and losses for extra entertainment.
I watched it. This was fun Shogo-San. Thank you.
Hey Shogo. I know I'm late but congrats on having 1 million sub. I honestly never thought that you would actually make it before 2023.
Now your goal is to reach 1 billion subscriber by 2100?😂
6:43 Is Kazu a Yōkai who can only show half of his face? 😅
I really enjoying a lot this episode, it's my 10th time watching this. All of you are so fun to watch. I am your avid fan/subscriber here in the Philippines.
This was really entraining 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
My brother veterans from the US Navy already recognize the potential for a very well saturated night of saki... or beer... or whiskey...
This really makes me want to experience it n person at least once in my lifetime if not more! Love it Tysm😍
Thanks for the inspirations for our next homeparty^^
Fan throwing has so much rules to calculate points. Looks like a real contest!
I loved this. It was great to watch.
Honestly, this looks like a lot of fun!
This was so much fun to watch , I smile the whole time
I want to play all these games with my friends. Tora-tora was my favorite. I was surprised at how badly Kazu did at Tosenkyo. I just realized how much Hinata looks like Harumi!
Harumi's got passive buffs from Japanese dancing training!
Tosenkyo looks like a lot of fun! And very complex! It seems easy but the scoring seems hard! I'd love to find an english scoring system and try it for myself!
love this video!! so fun!!!!!! 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
hopefully overseas travel will resume soon without any restrictions!
atleast I can visit Japan and see different world 🌎 😌
::actually that games seems interesting 🤔 and that instrument sounds soothing 😊
Great video, so much fun.
That was a lot of fun! Would love to one day play with you guys :D
Absolutely love this these games look so much fun. Also beer 🍻
The fan game would be great for game night.
all of the games looks fun ❤❤❤ I enjoyed watching it 😊

Sapporo is also REALLY awesome. I've gotten to try it on a couple occasions. It's in my top 3 favorite beers :D
your wife is breathtaking in the thumbnail photo ..very cool
Those games look so much fun!
Hugely enjoyed this demonstration of traditional Japanese games. Many thanks Shogo!
May I ask whether you’d consider a similar video focusing on incense games? There is very little English language content on these
Oh my gosh I want to play those games! 😍
This was so fun! I loved all the games.
How gentlemanly to drink the lady's beer for her~ XDb
You guys are all so cute and handsome all dressed up together! ^^b
I would love to play the first game because of the suspense and the music played by Tomoko! :)
The games look very fun! I've to look if I could get the stuff for Tōsenkyo in Germany. ^^
Were can we get the music to train this at home :-)? Arigatou gozaimashita for sharing this awesome video, shogosan and team!
I would really enjoy mastering that fan throwing game so many tricky things you can do
Why did Kazu lose the second round of the "slapping the brick"-game? The "brick" was still there, so he shouldn't use a fist to touch it, right?
