  • Buying a used motorcycle? Looking for a used motorbike? Kawasaki ER-6f Review / test ride. This bike is a great option on the used market. A great motorcycle for a weekend blast down the country lanes. It is also happy on the motorway so would be a great touring bike. This bike won’t be at ‪@in2moto480‬ for long. The striking paint job draws you in. Such a nice looking bike without the aches and pains of riding a sports bike.
    ****** update ****** this bike has been sold. I told you it wouldn’t be there for long. This garage has new stock arriving everyday so check their website out

    I've owned my Er6f since 2006, I toured the UK in 2006/7 then did Europe 2007/8 best 2 years of my life, I'm 64 now I still have the bike, on the road. In fact I was out on it today, it's still great. Good review

      Thanks. I think you are due another tour. I have been across the channel on my bike the last 2 years. I absolutely love it. I plan to go every year. I’m down for 2 next year already. 🥳

    Good and simple review. I got this bike recently and it's an amazing bike. It's fast and sleek and has sexy looks to it and a Head Turner ❤

    I'm thinking to buy er6f with 50k+ mileage on it for Rm12,000 (2.6k USD+-) Do you think it's a good idea? The bike registered in 2012.. and if I get the bike what should i check? TIA

    Question, i was gonna buy a er6n which is the naked version, but a great deal.just came up for a er6f it is my understanding that the body position is basically the same for the 2 bikes the only diffrence being the "plastics" the front? Have you tested both verions or are you aware if these two bikes have the same ride positions? Cheers.

      Sorry I’ve not tried the naked version but my understanding is they have the same riding position.

    Hi there. Being an ex zx14 rider, 190cm and about 120kg. Can this pull ok at about 140 to 160 kph on longer trips?

    • @GillyBikes
      @GillyBikes  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I can’t see that kind of speed being an issue.

      Have an ER6n myself that I've extended with bar risers and lowered pegs to get an extra 1" on bars and 1" on pegs and a gel seat to get extra 1" on seat. I'm 125kg and 181cm. Fitted SW-Motech Blaze panniers and Givi clip on tank bag and Ventura clip on seat bag plus Puig windscreen with Givi flip screen ontop of Puig windscreen. Can tour South Island NZ on it 1-up. Can ride about 300km 200m to a tank then need to step off for a pee and a tea as NZ can get hot in summer and cold in winter. At 190cm you may get cramped on it. Suggest a Versys 650 for more legroom than ER6n/ER6f that share the same bars and pegs. 140kph to 160kph would be fairly high in the revs about 6,500rpm to 7,500rpm. Do this for overtaking only. I just mainly cruise and tour on it around 90kph-120kph around 4,000rpm to 6,000rpm. Pretty decent mileage 4l/100km 60mpg under 6,000rpm with ECO light showing under 6,000rpm. Range on dash is accurate to about 300km then blinks E. About 2.5l left in tank when E blinks so about another 50km 30m at a push. I ride with a Givi 2.5l spare fuel tank in seat bag as NZ can have some distance between fuel stations rurally. I know if I ride until E shows and I've got my Givi 2.5l spare fuel tank packed I can get to another fuel station anywhere in NZ. So in summary, I think you need a Versys 650 not a Ninja 650. Wish sales staff in bike stores were up front with this with bigger customers. 'Try this one for size sir' like buying suits etc. Bikes are a pain in the ass to adjust to fit you better if it doesn't already fit you unlike cars. Some but not many bike manufacturers offer different adjustable seating and bar positions.

      @@GillyBikes You look a lot shorter than 190cm 6'3". I'm 181cm 5'11" and I've got bar risers and lowered pegs and raised seat with a gel seat and need a break from riding after a about 200km 150m on a 300km 200m tankful. A Versys not a Ninja is a better fitting bike for anyone over 180cm and certainly anyone 190cm. Legs are bent if you have long legs.

      I found this one to be quite light to throw around however it would depend on what you have been used to. What did you have before?

    Is this bike ideal for short people?

    • @GillyBikes
      @GillyBikes  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Depends on how short. I’m 5”8 and had no issues at all. The best thing to do is find somewhere that has one for sale and go and sit on it. Until you throw your leg over one you won’t know. Greats bikes.

      I really don’t know. It was only in their showroom for a day. It sold before my video went live. Really popular bikes.

      cheers for responding anyway, I love sportsbikes but seemed like I was gonna struggle to get insured on anything fully faired without NCB and this looks like the closest i'm gonna get. Was looking at the FZ-06 fazer but considering this now as well, same insurance roughly and probably a bit more sensible as an upgrade to the 125 anyway. Not a massive factor as I have a healthy sense of self preservation and think i'll be fine on the FZ but definitely a + for the ER-6F

      Great review thanks. As a middle aged bloke returning to biking after 25 years a lot of your review was so helpful. Riding position, back and wrists are all more important now compared to my more flexible youth!
