I have one of the old proboat miss geico 24” it’s been blueprinted and running gear all upgraded I love taking it to the local pond and running it around at a speed that amazes people but if the water conditions are right I’ll let it rip it’s fun to see people expressions when they already thought it was fast only to be shocked by how fast it really is
I have a boat id like to do, basically it's a tfl genesis, but the sponsons are not flat they have little guide grooves or something (not sure what they're called). Is it still possible to blueprint?
Hey what is up bro I just got a veles 29 the problem I am having is I can't get the stinger straight no one on youtube explains how to safely bend the brass tube down to make it a flat angle as it is a fiberglass boat I am afraid of damaging the hull trying to bend my very tough brass tube... so if you could explain more would be great for all of us noobs as this is the first catamaran style boat I have owned.... thank you for your time and hope to hear from you or see a video on this
Hello, I was planning on blueprinting my Mg 29 hull. I couldn't get a hold of the Marine Rx, however, I found this other product, Marine Tex, that is made by the same company. It seems to have the same characteristics as the Marine Rx but i wasn't sure it would work the same. Could this Marine Tex be a substitute for the Marine Rx? Thanks
Hi, I just did the strut mod yesterday. The most difficult part was bending the tube shaft a little bit in order to create the slightly negative angle for the prop (since I'm not planning on doing the blueprintinting of the sponsons). I cracked the gelcoat a little bit when bending the tube shaft. Do you know how to repair it in the right colour?
+Tomberland 84 Hi, I don't worry about paint on the bottom of the boat, but you can repair cracks easily with marine epoxy putty (which is what I use for blueprinting), or regular epoxy. Sand down the area first. If you want to match the paint you'll need to go to an auto paint place and have them match it-- not worth the cost IMHO. Note, another strategy I use if I damage a sponson and repair it is to paint a pattern or stripes of a different color to "customize" the boat (and cover the damage). Or add decals.
+James Quaranta thank you for your reply. Is the colour mixed in the gelcoat/epoxy or painted on top of it? I don't think I will make a big problem of it since it is the bottom indeed. But it was the first crack in the boat so it hurts haha ;)

Great information thanks
Getting ready to do this to a Veles, thanks for the video series. Been awhile, you still have this boat or any tips other than mentioned?

Hello.
I want to ask when you blueprint the sponsons it must to be perfct flat or a little angle to the outside???
Thanks...

Hi, Yes, I think that will work fine-- any epoxy putty should work.
Was the positive thrust angle when raising the strut fixed on the version 3 I don't notice it with my eye when raising the strut on my BJ V3
If you can raise the strut and keep the propshaft level you should be good. You only want pos angle if needed to push the nose down further.
HELLO NICE
