- Welcome to the second part of the Acid Challenge! Featuring Behringer RD-6, TD-3, Korg Kaoss Pad Mini and Boss RE-20.
The rules:
There are no pre-programmed sequences.
All drum sequences need to be programmed on the fly.
All bass lines need to be randomly generated by the TD-3.
One FX device per machine.
No editing.

@@frantsel5711 Because humans are empathic beings and our hearing has a third order response. We, as a species have an enhanced ability to hear the tones of a baby crying in the distance. The tones that come from the acid machine being cranked in this way have primordial affect on our awareness and when we know that there is no baby crying and all is well, it simply sounds natural. Got my TD-3 today. Going to be jamming with my AIRA TB-3 into the night.
@@frantsel5711 cause 303 patterns is exactly repeating universe's structure which is changing in different ways all the time but still have loop in it's base and it looping without end with changing of some parameters. This is hypnotic and derealizing making you brain go into trance. I was discovered that when listened patterns on acid and this is so mindblowing!
It's delicious. It's like eating marshmallows or gummy bears.

The random pattern generator on the TD3 is under rated. It's endless amount of good times, building drum tracks around the TD3 sequences, and keep the music moving forward all night. Always something new.
Honestly this inspired me to pick up the RD-6 and TD-3. Can't wait for them to come in - excited to actually play around with some hardware instead of just being in Ableton :)
Nice dude! you won't regret it, working with the DAW is great but there is just something about getting your hands on the tech and getting lost in the evolving sounds as you twiddle knobs and press buttons. Hope you have tons of fun with it :)
I’ve had my TD-3 for a while. The stand-alone vibe really works for me. This video inspired me to order my RD-6 today.

So inspiring. Along with the microfreak the td3 and rd6 with a couple pedals has been my go to setup for a while now. It's so immediate I've never had as much fun jamming with anything else. Keep the jams coming man i just subscribed.

That was brilliant! I've just picked up the two Behringer units and you've sparked my imagination. Love the way you used the volume controls on the drum machine to bring in different elements. Nice.
I keep coming back to this it's so good. I was playing to a friend in the pub and he was fascinated. He was amazed when I explained that you had to do the drums in your head before 'making them live' with the volume controls. Great skill. I'm no dancer but can't help but bop along.

Just got those Behringer machines for my birthday! I've only jammed a couple of times, but I'm getting better every time. It's LOTS of fun! I use an AKAI MPX8 for sampling as well. All that together is just tons of fun. This set though really sparked some ideas for me! Thank you!
Thats really awesome, deserves a million likes and Behringer should pay you good money to make that kind of advertisement.

Awesome video, the RD-6 is starting to grow one me. Didn't like it at first, but now I starting to like the raw sound. Can't wait to see a RD-9 video when it is available.

I love the rules you set yourself, that’s really the key to good acid…limit your gear and approach, then let it flow.
9/10 he didn’t use this setup to set limits for himself and see what he can do. He was just making music and having fun with it. Using instrument he knows.

I assumed that these were your own patterns premade, and then saw you generate a few random ones and was blown away. I totally underestimated that feature. Great for live jamming.

Die ersten Töne welche ich aus meinen neuen RD-6 und TD-3 rausgequetscht habe waren weit aggressiver, aber mir fehlt noch etwas Gear um den Spaß vernünftig zu nutzen. Der Lockdown hat mich dazu getrieben endlich mal nicht nur Vinyls auf den Teller zu packen, sondern mal an den analogen Reglern zu drehen. Ich danke dir vielmals für deine Videos, du hast mir bei mancher Entscheidungsfrage echt geholfen. :) Mach gern weiter so! Acid will never die!
