@jongotti8592 same exact situation with someone making the nut flush with hearts and i thought i had the nut straight so I called off the rest of my chips on the river thinking it was a diamond but was a heart.
@@jongotti8592 imagine how many $50k+ punts in poker are out there.. And you've not won a single one of them? Sorry to hear that.. But I have never even won a $1,000+ pot due to the stakes I play being "low" lol, but still, there's gotta be a lot of $50k+ punts out there if this action here exists
Also I wouldn't even call this a misread. Misread usually implies he saw a card incorrectly (for example, seeing a "4" instead of "A"). In this case he just forgot about the possibility of a flush
having the nuts on the turn doesn't equal bad etiquette since the river can change everything...the dealer asked "once or twice" and I believe Ryan said once first so that made Wesley curious what he could have wanting to just go once thinking he had the "nuts"...it's an honest mistake not meant to needle Ryan.
wesley playing too late into the night man. we've been there - when you cant see the flush fall on the turn. Never registered as you should have been home sleeping in your bed, not at the poker table.
@@AlexXanderMarketing There aren't anywhere close to 20 flush combos possible there in a 4 bet pot. There's AQh, A10h and that's it. Maybe if someone was crazy then 56h could be in there too but it's doubtful.
I was in a three way pot where everyone thought they had the nuts. The first guy called nut flush, the second the nut full house, and me sitting there with my straight flush.
Ryan's jam is only $13.5K more into a pot that's now over $160K. Obviously if Wesley knows he's absolutely dead, he should fold, but that's a very tough read. You're only dead to the made Ace or Queen flush. In any other situation, you're either ahead with your straight or at least drawing live. It's also possible that Ryan has J10 but either has no heart, or the 10 of hearts, in which case Wesley is freerolling. So, yes, bad misread that Wesley didn't see the flush, but also getting nearly 12-1 on the call. Impossible fold.
No, snap call is the only play once he raises and it's 13k to win 135k. The biggest decision point is the turn and deciding whether to bet or not. Realistically the only hand that usually beats you in this spot is EXACTLY AQ of hearts so betting/calling off is pretty normal and if you lose to that exact hand so be it. A10 should never really be in the hand.
At the start of the vid when the dealer is collecting NG chips and folded cards it looks like some players on his left could see the bottom card in the deck. Seems a bit sloppy.
The nuts is the best hand at the moment. AThh can still lose to a full house on the river if he's against a set / two pair, but he currently has the nuts.
Ouch i did the same on another live stream and its was hearts 💗 also . I had a nine high flush and the Money went in about 1000$ and when i showed my hand i had one heart one diamond not a flush and he had a J high flush 2 hearts 💕
Why is it always the dumbest people who have the most to say 😂 you know it was a 4 bet pot right? Oh you probably don't have those at 1/2 at your local casino. Just shut it before you make yourself look dumber
It's not the nuts, you're right, but when dude said "nuts" and Wesley said "same", it's because he thought it WAS the nuts, so yeah, money was going in either way. Use context clues my guy
@@edcote No he doesn't. The current hearts are 7, 9, J, K. There is no single heart that would complete a straight flush. It would simply be a flush that is worse than his opponent's ace-high flush.
Obviously its a snap call at that point.. Why would you fold for 13k to win 175k in a 4 bet pot where there isn't many flushes in the opponents range?? That would be ABSOLUTELY horrible to fold for 13k. Honestly AhQh is usually the ONLY hand he loses to with this line, people aren't really peeling Ah10h in a 4 bet pot often. I like Wesley's play here honestly. He tried a bluff pre, and A 10 should be folding but got stubborn and lucky they got the best possible board runout where J10 is never folding cuz it's a 4 bet pot.

Constant loud talking about the hand somehow equals "makes table go silent" when you're clickbaiting.
A 66k misread, i misread my hand the other day for 250$ can't image that much.

250? I misread a $45 hand and was sick 😂😂😂 I can’t even begin to imagine 66k

precisely this. who cares if he misread the board. It would have played the same way. Proclaiming the table went silent was pure hyperbole
lotsa reasons to fold there...not only the flush but a straight to the ace is out there too.
That is indeed the most silent table following a hand I have ever heard...
Haha

But he might not have bet the river, he could have check called if he saw the flush and not got felted

Yeah that hand was a real classic. G took it like a pro!
sometimes you get tunnel vision when you're drawing to the nuts..that's exactly what happened to Wesley 😂
I don't think he misread. He "forgot" that a flush beats a straight.
Or he thought 🤔 that he had the ten❤s for a straight flush 🤯, either way he flushed his money down the toilet 😮
@@Rob-p7q But the queen was the queen of diamonds. Even if he did have the 10 of hearts, he still wouldn't have had a straight flush.

Wowww that’s brutal and he thought for a second that he had the redraw

Ouch. When he said "me too" I definitely cringed.
Guy's need to be careful with pairs like those, never go all in.
Dumbest part of this hand is him tanking his all in when it’s 13k for Wesley to call . Absolutely dumb
Even if it was only 2 hearts and not 3 still doesn’t mean it’s the nuts, because the last card could always be a heart as well

Its hard to get away from that at that stack size
Not gonna lie, those cards were actually hard to read for some reason
Obviously he didn't see the flush or he wouldn't have called

He could have improved to a flush
@jayhop A flush that was a redraw? What flush could he hit that gave him the win?
thats crazy, their cards look black on myscreen (one of them)
Same. Very weird. The 10 of hearts looked like the 10 of spades.
Why are the graphics always wrong. Clearly, wesley has two black cards, but the graphics show two red cards...

"Ovahpleh"
