- Talbot Express 2.5D Coolant Drain, Flush & Fill.
In this video I drain, flush an replace the coolant on my Talbot Express Camper. Its surprising how much discolouration there is and how long it takes to clean. I spent a lot of time flushing with the hose pipe (far too much to film continuously) whilst the afternoon waned into the evening!

The missing 2 litres is in the heater matrix and pipes to it ! You should have used a vacuum system to extract what was in there and then refill it. It takes seconds and completely empties and refills without air pockets.
I put in two litres more in than I got out probably due to collective spillages when draining the system at multiple points that were difficult to collect the coolant like the heater matrix radiator. Not everyone will have the vacuum equipment.
Hi there have talbot express autoquest 350 I have managed to drain the radiator and the pipes from the top up tanks there was only about 2 liters or less as had been leaking but can’t get the engine drain plug off . Probably not been taken off for 35 years . I bought ten liters of blue ready mixed anit freeze can I just put this in or is it essential to drain the engine block
I would definitely drain the block it holds a lot of old coolant that will dilute you ready mixed antifreeze strength further.
Hiya mate is the drain plug in the same place for the petrol version?
I understand from my research that engine block drain is at the rear of the engine for the petrol model near to the gearbox, if I’m mistaken correct me!

Bit of an emergency but if anybody on here knows owt about the Talbot express 2.5 d 1989 fuel filter location ??? I've searched and can't find it ??
There is small filter in the Diesel Tank on the tank sender unit and there should be a large fuel filter with a lift pump for priming under the bonnet behind the grill on the left hand side as your looking at it.
@@TheRepairer It should be where you said , but there is nothing there , someone has used an Audi Purflux FCS809 diesel filter instead ?? I've never seen anything like it. Thank you for the quick reply btw and great videos
