he isn't saying ur spoiling he is saying that since u said he explained the whole story without seeing it then he thought that he acctually spoiled the movie
One minor detail I noticed no one talks is Powder/Jinx joining in and singing along at the end, "Spare me the sympathy." And "Everyone wants to be my enemy." With how she looks as she speaks this, it's as if Powder and Jinx is beginning to accept the song, believing the words that yes, everyone is her enemy and she doesn't need your sympathy. Or maybe I'm just reaching too far.
I agree watching the music video and tuen watching the series i can see why you made that connection because as you pointed out that the enemy and sympathy lyric points where jinx/powder sing along i think it also means that jinx and powder are no longer separate personalities but one single one that see everyone is her enemy and doesn’t need any sympathy form anyone because everyone who opposes her is her enemy
Silco basically told her how everyone was their enemy and they only had each other as father and daughter. She took that to heart and it messed with her already broken mind even more. Not that he intended that, Silco really thought he was alone in the world til he took Jinx under his wing and saw she was alone too.
This is why I love this channel. Knox is the only reactor that breaks down the lyrics, while giving commentary about the production, instrumental, storyline and cinematography. Very meticulous. Thank you for always bringing quality content
FYI, the first shot on Jinx with the toy monkey is a homage to the first-ever League of Legends MV introducing Jinx "Get Jinxed", which is arguably what kick starts the whole Riot Games Music. React to that, it's one of the best
I think vi's song was out before jinx's but there was no music vid 'here comes vi' and as the guy above me says theres not a lot to react to in it, its a good and enjoyable song but not much to breakdown. the vid for get jinx youd get if you understood the lore or the arcane story coming up
The toy monkey is also a clever historical reference - she was known as Powder and made explosive monkeys. Powder monkeys were children who delivered gunpowder to cannon crews during the Age of Sail.
5:20 "what does that mean, what is leaving her?" HOPE. In the story, the Firelights represent hope. At the begginning they are almost unseen, Vi comments that she feels hopeless and thats why everyone wants to fight. Then, everything goes south due to Silco, but the hidden Firelights keep hope alive, actually transforming a small space of the undergruond into something better and fighting hard for the future. The firelights represent hope, which Powder had but it left her. Then all she had left was hopelessness and death, symbolized by the crows, which she both struggled against but also personified. It goes deeper, with Vi commenting how she had never seen so many, but at the bridge fight scene what seems like firelights (hope) was false, just a hidden danger because it was fabricated by Jinx, meaning any hope of improving that came from her actions was artificial and actually waiting to explode.
My theory was: Ekko and Powder were from a writing perspective pretty much the same. They looked up to Vi, were the weakest, youngest kids, etc. But Powder changed after act 1 and ekko was like what Powder could have been (also the last song is called what could have been this series is so fricking good). He is the leader of the firelights and Powder could have done great things too that help people and stuff if he hadnt killed Milo, Claggor and Vander (jk he may be still alive as warwick but she thinks she killed him so it doesnt matter for what im tryna say). Basically it shows how in episode 3 powder changed to jinx and didnt help with inventing the firelights or smth like that.
Ive seen multiple reactions to this but so far this is the best breakdown by far. Never seen anyone point out the easter eggs, the unique JID rapping scheme, and some actual knowledge of the game.
DAMN you have a good eye on that bug scene! I went to the frame-by-frame and there are 3 blurry frames after she opens her eyes as a kid and then one single frame of adult Jinx laying there before the scene swap. Great catch! I was also looking out for it after and noticed they do the same thing when she finger-guns the cops walking by. (comma and period are forward and backward one frame at a time BTW, Knox)
@@buttonsmasher1072 After this video I actually took the time to go through the video frame by frame. Another thing I noticed was that looking through the slit older jinx actually starts 'singing' the lyrics. Afterwards younger jinx is layered with a version of herself also lipsyncing and then it's just plain her saying "everybody want to be my enemy".
Oh also, since you were having trouble landing on the frame you wanted, while TH-cam is paused you can use the comma and period keys to go back and forward (respectively) frame-by-frame!
This was the most in-depth analysis I could find on TH-cam, and thank you for both appreciating the music and the story told by the lyrics and the clips. Most people aren’t looking at the whole picture, which is what makes it so incredible imo. Every word, sound, and clip is part of a story.
Personally with the bug scene and knowing how sad her growing up is, i felt like it was her hope and innocence in a way. She is finally accepting that she cannot go back to her old self, she needs to toughen up to survive so she lets her hope for a bright future and innocence fly
My theory: Ekko and Powder were from a writing perspective pretty much the same. Also a fun little jab is hidden in JID's lyrics. When he mentions "The baddest" that's a song by a band that is *canonically* in the same universe as the Zaun-based Imagine Dragons JID combo we see here. K.D.A. can eat their hearts out.

My take on the green bug coming out of her mouth: Those bugs are called firelights, and are used as a symbol of hope for a peaceful life among the chaos and danger of the undercity/zaun. A lot of this song & video tell the story of Powder growing up into Jinx. So, I think the bug leaving her, followed by a single frame of her adult self, is showing the last bits of her hope for a simple and happy future, flying away

Wow i just noticed so many little Easter eggs Thanks to The guy that explained you can rewind and fastforward by a Frame using comma and period. ( , / . ) 8:59 you can see powder as jinx for 1 frame.
Wow dude! I love your passion for the arts and how in depth you go when reviewing the entirety of the video. I love how much appreciation you express and I feel the same! Cant wait to see more of your vids in the future :)
I generally don't like these types of breakdowns of music videos because they feel stretched out and kinda boring but I really love how you care not just about the music or just the story or just cinematography which is how some other channels do it, it just really feels like you actually care about the whole thing and that makes it that much more enjoyable. Kind of a long comment but great video!
In the story they gave characters with significance dull eyes till they find their purpose. In those moments their eyes get a color change into thier real color but the pink eyes I dont wanna spoil.
This react video was almost as epic as the song. First time watching this channel, so I didn't know what to expect, but I certainly didn't expect this level of analysis. Very well done!
i agree with you , specially for the rap part (polyrhythm/flow) and the fact that there are only two chords and i noticed many people would like it without rap
That Glowing Insect Represents her Soul. As it leaves her Body everything that left was all of that bad memories and sad emotions that leads her as The Jinx we all knew.
Hey there, I never heard of you. This is the first reaction I see of this song and I have to say that I never heard and saw a better reaction video to any other some by anyone else. I love the way you REALLY check out the lyrics, the meaning of it and respect and see the idea behind the song. Thanks so much.
Waiting for season 2 and came back to watch this. You're probably the most perceptive person to do a react video. Actually spotting things I wouldn't even have seen as well as analyzing the lyrics and video instead and picking up the actual story. Good stuff
I like it how Joeynato talks about the instruments that they use and Knoxhill talks about the lyrics and a bit of the instruments but mostly the lyrics XD but there both good.
I fell in love with this song, can't get enough! I had no idea what League of Legends was about and knew none of the characters....yet this short series really captured me and I enjoyed every minute. Sad ending though.
Little nugget for you, JID’s first line is actually an application of the rhetorical device Chiasmus, which is the same words or elements repeated in reverse order.
I like the line between the chorus and following verse “but I’m ready” because the previous lines were “everybody wants to be my enemy” then “look out for yourself”, followed by that line as if he’s answering to those lines specifically saying he’s ready to go against everyone who opposes him. Like Jinx does. She takes on everyone who she feels is against her, regardless. It’s like a call and respond snuck in there that you may not quite realize is there. It could be taken as just a quick ad lib or bridging line, getting you ready for the next verse. It’s interesting.
Out of all the reviews i watched about this song, this is the cleanest and most detailed review like bruh, he found all those easter eggs and stuff especially when that bug came out of her mouth.
Possibly the best reaction to this music video I've seen so far, you do a great job at breaking down not only the music but what's happening in the video too. Great job
many thanks for your analysis specially for te rap part (polyrhythm/flow) which many people don't appreciate. i am 56 and i love music... all music. i saw the live mtv by mistake by zapping and it attracted me a lot, a lot of positive energy, beautiful! . my reaction was wow what is this? I like. so I looked for reactions and ... a lot of wow... ok i'm not the only one.
Riot’s music and visual production teams (yes I know ID and JID did it but it was clearly Riot-influenced) are better than their actual game dev teams. I’ve been waiting for a League of Legends Cinematic Universe for YEARS. I’m hoping Arcane convinces them that it’s a good idea. They have enough champions and lore to make dozens of movies.
In arcane a firefly sympolizes life or freedom that's why ekko decided to use it as his symbol. The part where the firefly leaves powders mouth is a fact that she lost that freedom by being left behind by vi. We can later see this in the episode where ekko and jinx fight. Right next to ekko was a firefly and right next to jinx was a crow symbolizing that she is not powder anymore. Or that's just how I understand it

Welcome to the team (officially) 🙌
@Stino I realise now why creators always push to sub. I was part of the problem 😅
5:41 Powder shortly switches into older Jinx, like from the episodes 4 till end, the same happens at 8:59 so right when Powder 'shoots'
I lose it everytime i listen to this song.... JID's verse 🤯......just added to the out of this world vibe of this...masterpiece.
You made me understand why rapping JID's part is SO FUCKING HARD, so thank you
I really love imagine dragons, there music is so dope and the epic beats and it gives me goosebumps by just great. Hope you have a great day mr hill have a great day
What amazes me is the fact you can catch on to the words especially when he started going so first you could literally pause and have the words so fast like how
Dude your analysis is so brilliant. I loved the explanation. I love the deep you made for this video. I loved your enthusiasm! Keep it on!
Peace ✌
Just for info, if you pause the video you can use . (full stop / period) and , (comma) to move through the video frame by frame.
I grew to really like this song, then I watched your reaction and so much of the amazing stuff going on in this song got revealed, and now I like it more
Wow i just noticed so many little Easter eggs Thanks to The guy that explained you can rewind and fastforward by a Frame using comma and period. ( , / . )
8:59 you can see powder as jinx for 1 frame.
Wow dude! I love your passion for the arts and how in depth you go when reviewing the entirety of the video. I love how much appreciation you express and I feel the same! Cant wait to see more of your vids in the future :)
I remember getting the notification the moment i seen imagine dragons and jid was like yeah this is gonna be 🔥
I generally don't like these types of breakdowns of music videos because they feel stretched out and kinda boring but I really love how you care not just about the music or just the story or just cinematography which is how some other channels do it, it just really feels like you actually care about the whole thing and that makes it that much more enjoyable.
Kind of a long comment but great video!
I haven't seen videos talking about the lyrics like this, so I'm so glad I found your video! Your input as a rapper taught me so much, genuinely.
Been waiting for a JID reaction. He's a beast
In the story they gave characters with significance dull eyes till they find their purpose. In those moments their eyes get a color change into thier real color but the pink eyes I dont wanna spoil.
This song, coupled with the visuals really hit hard. Love it
Damn, that was a really good breakdown.
This react video was almost as epic as the song. First time watching this channel, so I didn't know what to expect, but I certainly didn't expect this level of analysis. Very well done!
It is a firelight. Like a firefly. I see the scene where she has it come out of her as her innocence leaving her.
Great reaction. Is tragic how underrated this song is.
i agree with you , specially for the rap part (polyrhythm/flow) and the fact that there are only two chords and i noticed many people would like it without rap
That Glowing Insect Represents her Soul. As it leaves her Body everything that left was all of that bad memories and sad emotions that leads her as The Jinx we all knew.
Thank you yet again for another amazing reaction to league music! :)
Thank you for continuing to support!
If you want to get the individual frame in a video, use the < and > arrows when the video is paused.
Hey there, I never heard of you. This is the first reaction I see of this song and I have to say that I never heard and saw a better reaction video to any other some by anyone else.
I love the way you REALLY check out the lyrics, the meaning of it and respect and see the idea behind the song.
Thanks so much.
I had to watch this, watch the show, then watch the music video again and it all came together and I started understanding it more
This dude knows what he is saying, Awesome job on noticing the hidden details
I'm SO glad that he's reacting to this!
Little nugget for you, JID’s first line is actually an application of the rhetorical device Chiasmus, which is the same words or elements repeated in reverse order.
Whats really cool is listening to him rhyme while he's just talking
I like the line between the chorus and following verse “but I’m ready” because the previous lines were “everybody wants to be my enemy” then “look out for yourself”, followed by that line as if he’s answering to those lines specifically saying he’s ready to go against everyone who opposes him. Like Jinx does. She takes on everyone who she feels is against her, regardless. It’s like a call and respond snuck in there that you may not quite realize is there. It could be taken as just a quick ad lib or bridging line, getting you ready for the next verse. It’s interesting.
i love your reactions. you tell the meaning, break them down, and teach us on the go too. I love your videos soo much
5:41 when Knox was trying to see the very short clip of her change
Awesome attention to the lyrics. I didn't realize the deep meaning behind them until you explained I was too mesmorized by the video and music.
Out of all the reviews i watched about this song, this is the cleanest and most detailed review like bruh, he found all those easter eggs and stuff especially when that bug came out of her mouth.
Growing your beard suits you very well with this style bro
I never noticed that little transformation before the first corus so good
Maan, Respect that you pay attention for the lore and the story itself!!!
Pro tip: When paused, you can go frame by frame forward on backward, by pressing "," and ".", the keys with < and > symbols on them.
Hey Knox!
Love your reactions, been watching through them for a while.
You're content is great, keep it up! You're breakdowns are fantastic c:
Possibly the best reaction to this music video I've seen so far, you do a great job at breaking down not only the music but what's happening in the video too. Great job
many thanks for your analysis specially for te rap part (polyrhythm/flow) which many people don't appreciate. i am 56 and i love music... all music. i saw the live mtv by mistake by zapping
and it attracted me a lot, a lot of positive energy, beautiful! . my reaction was wow what is this? I like. so I looked for reactions and ... a lot of wow... ok i'm not the only one.
to view a video frame by frame you can use the < and > keys
