  • Ever felt like you are doing a ton of running but not making any progress? Maybe you are overtraining....
    In this video, I'll explain some of the symptoms of overtraining to help you spot it and some tips on what to do about it.

    Thanks Dan for an excellent overview on overtraining. Agree with your points. Burnout is another sign (maybe you covered it, and apologies if I missed it), and runners often refer to the "grind" of running. We all have highs and lows, let's make sure we have fun and mix it up (including taking time off). Cheers.

      Thanks Reto and a great point on burnout...now being a master and running 30+ years, I realise this whole running thing is a long journey so needs to be enjoyed, just as much as achieving any time or distance goal. 👍🏃‍♂️

    I get creaky enough just running 3 times a week. I don't think I'll get over trained at this rate. Good info, Dan. Have you been over trained in the past mate? Doesn't sound much fun.

      Yes, a fully paid up member. 😀 I'm in both the "want to go running immediately" and "must run hard every time" camps...I get addicted. Need to remember that easy and rest days are important...especially as I get older! 🏃‍♂️
