"We wish to thank the Ralston Purina company, sponsors of Bold Journey, for relinquishing their time this evening, in order that we might bring you the special Disneyland '59 program. Bold Journey will return next week over most of these stations. This has been an ABC Television Network presentation."

“America’s Watching ABC.” You could not have been alive in the United States in the early 90s and NOT have heard that on your TV screen. The American Broadcasting Company. Watched by more people the nanny other network. Now the Disney Broadcasting Company. Lol. You can also see how broadcast television started dying a slow death in the mid-2000s.
Hey did you copyright the ABC logo history from II TUBO TV 36
dumb you
every part of this conversation is cringe and incorrect for so many reasons-

Im speaking russian/english
1970: “let’s get together”
2020: “let’s stay in our homes”
That would be a good slogan for ABC to use for the 2020-21 fall tv schedule(this fall on abc don't go anywhere not even to work"lets stay in our homes")

I personally think ABC had the best feel for contemporary pop culture trends and the most stylish, fun promo campaigns of all the major networks, they had the best music too. I've got the theme from 1974 (my birth year, coincidentally) stuck in my head now, damn it.
My first memories are from 1988-89...and I remember these intros VERY VIVIDLY

I think they caught lightning in a bottle with that minimalist logo package from 26:13 to 27:00. You can plug that into any era and it'd work. I'd also throw the one at 25:26 in that category too.

The '69 to '72 promos were done by Doug Trumbull's slit-scan process. In '69 he was just done with working on Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey where he used the slit-scan process for the "Star Gate" sequence. He also did the Movie of the Week opening.
The 1962 logo is my favorite. I did a little dance for it. It sounds like it would be a good song for Dionne Warwick.
Enteresting... Very enteresting.

I Do Remember When The Movie "Flushed Away" Did Came On ABC When It Was Back In The Year 2006.
The sheer SFX/CGI indulgence of these in the 80s would have been mindblowing for someone from basically most other countries staying in the US, being used to far less futuristic stuff in their countries. Brazil had fancy CGI too though.

Heck, yes. The 2000 indents are probably the best I’ve ever seen other than the classic NBC Peacock from the ‘60s.
The 1998 - 2001 logos, they are still very new even today.
Well, maybe 2007 - 2010 logo as well.

ABC always emphasized an easy, cool, contemporary look, at least through the mid1970s, while the other networks' promos were heavy handed and seemed to be ordering you to watch NBC or CBS. It slowly paid off, as did ABC trying some original shows like That Girl, Monday Night Football and The Partridge Family.

I ALREADY GET IT I KNOW THEY'RE THE ONE
I always felt that ABC had the coolest shows.
They did. Everything from the Brady Bunch to Starsky and Hutch and Happy Days to Taxi, Home Improvement and Roseanne. In more recent years, Gray’s Anatomy, Castle and The Good Doctor. They‘ve always delivered good, solid entertainment with a high likable factor, and they haven’t been afraid to do something a bit daring from time to time - whether it’s afternoon TV movies aimed at kids, a miniseries about the terrible realities of slavery or a TV movie depicting the full horror of nuclear war. I think I can honestly say that in my lifetime, I have watched more programming on ABC than any other conventional broadcast network.
Why Can't The ABC Network Show The Movie "Flushed Away" Instead Of A Bug's Life.
Licence agreement most likely. Since ABC doesn't own DreamWorks that help made Flushed Away. Nor do they owned Aardman. Whereas Pixar and ABC has the same parent company so it hardly if ever costs ABC anything to air any Pixar or Disney film.
that is so very amazing how the old and new generation of ABC can be so much fun and make me feel like I want to watch some more of ABC

You know i'm thinking for the 2020-21 fall t.v season abc needs to for the hell of it use one of their classic logo and promos for a throwback nostalgia feel if they were to to that i would love them to use the abc logo they used in 1970,1975,1978,or the logo from 1981 that would spice things up....
