I remember seeing this about 1967 or so out of NY Television. Either WPIX or WOR.

I vaguely recall, the computer monster in this. I remember, those claw's. Looking carefully, you can tell that "8th. Man", is of a higher quality, animation. The drawing cell's, are very well intricately, defined. Well thought out stories, too!! I was addicted to these, when I was a kid, and I guess, I still am 🙄!!! In this, all 8th. Man had to do, was just 'unplug', it😏…………

I remember this episode. It was good! Still is. :)
This reminds me of something I saw in "How William Shatner changed the World" where Kevin Warwick of the University of Reading thinks that the next stage of human evolution will be linking our nervous systems directly to the internet via cybernetic implants.
This episode kinda reflects my view of Warwick's vision of the future.

"A unit that makes robots out of people! Terrible!" thinks the man who was turned into a robot by his idol, Prof. Genius. There's some serious cognitive dissonance in that.

Creepy and dark episode. The scene with 8th Man getting his limbs torn off was striking. However, I find it somewhat implausible that Brainatron and his army of slaves would let Prof. Genius and 8th Man just wander off and escape. What did the Professor do, throw 8th Man over his shoulder and carry him away?
Plausibility is not an issue at age 7. It wasnt for me anyway. I was enthralled with these cartoons!
