so good to hear you talk about this & hear you actually put the work in to regain your period. I think so many in the fitness space are pretending they still get a period when they don't, as they don't want to confront the issue by having to lose their 'leaness' to recover their cycle. Especially fitness coaches.... so glad you practice what you preach!!
This vid came at the perfect time for me as this is so front of mind rn! Haven't had a period since I came off the pill in Jan 2023, but all my bloods are normal, I'm not super lean and average about 7-9 hours training a week so feel like I probably don't fall into RED-S category? As you say, you have to be ready to fully commit and I don't think I am as the fear of weight gain crippling!! But then will I ever feel ready??? Would love to know if you gained much weight and how you dealt with this mentally if so!! What a rambly comment that is, ooops, but fab video as always!!x
Yay so glad it helped!!! You’ll never feel “ready” but the best time to start anything is now!! You’re in a current position to easily get injured, have low bone density and other health issues!!🥺 yeah I gained weight, 6kg to be precise in such a short time frame but HELL did I need it!!! plus I’m very sure no one watches my videos nor does any of my friends think “oh god, she’s gained weight!! I don’t like her anymore” !! You’ve TOTALLY got this💘💘💘💘
yes love your nails, it seems such an original design, and the colour suits u and is very summer, love them! Also thank you very much for all the really helpful tips and meal ideas too. have never had steak or kefir yoghurt, also have some disordered eating 😕
I have a question! I am a high school girl who runs varsity cross country and track! i had an eating disorder in 2022, where i lost 20% of my body weight, which was super devastating because i was already pretty thin in the first place. i had my period in august 2022 and then lost it in september 2022 - november 2023, so over a year. near summer 2023 to november 2023 i tried to eat more but i was still training for cross country so like ~30 miles per week. i got my period in december 2023 but it was only for one day and it was SUPER light. in january 2024 i got it again but it was SUPER light again. at this point in december - january, i had a super light training load since it was the beginning of track, maybe only around 15-20 easy miles per week. but then i haven't had my period since january 2024. what should i do? could you also elaborate on the negative side effects of not having a period?
Welcome .I have questions. I am in recovery How many calories should I eat and can I eat sweets and meat? I hope you can answer me because I am really lost and this thing worries me whether it is good or not.
Did you find that your weight naturally stabilized once you reached a healthy weight for you? Also did the mental aspects such as thinking of food all the time stop?

Hi Paige, do you cook your oats before adding protein powder? They look so good!
Can you show how you make your protein oats please ? X
How much do you think incorporating meat and dairy and eggs helped?
How did you deal with weight gain? If it happened?
