assuming you filmed this on the first, we kind of experienced the same thing on the same day. I hiked Mt. Baldy which is a 6 mile hike to the peak with a 4,000 rise to a total elevation of just over 10,000 feet. I can tell you the hardest part of any hike is the decent back down. Leg muscles still recovering form that 8 hour journey, its the quads that take the real beating on the way back down because its so easy to pick up momentum and lose control.
John, legendary hardtail downhill mountain bike... KONA HONZO steel or aluminum, steel (st) preferably. You'll have no problem with a hardtail, other option is full suspension but be ready to spend another couple grand for it.
