This is awesome. Ive seen a lot of people posting videos like this recently, putting dvds in sleeves, and storing them in boxes but none who put them in binders. Its a great idea. It enabled me to get rid of almost 300 DVD cases. Some people think you should hoard cases and have a wall full of dvds. But thats not for everyone. I keep my favorites in original cases. But random movies go into the binder. Awesome idea!
In terms of space it's a lovely idea but believe me, DVDs will get badly scratched with time, so, next step in a couple of years, will be send them to the garbage because they'll be unplayable.

These are some great ideas especially for families. Unfortunately for me I'm a hard-core collector and enjoy the cases but my collection is getting so big that I am not sure the best way to store them.
Some people even throw the artwork away too, lol, crazy times we live in. I could never do that. I've just ordered a shelved cabinet for my DVD's, there are also shelves in the doors too. I'll easily be able to fit all of them in there, the cabinet doesn't take up much space but you can fit over 200 DVDs in there, and the cool thing is is that when you close the doors on the cabinet it's a more cleaner uncluttered look. Don't get me wrong though, it'll still definitely be nice to be able to open it up and look at all of the DVD's, like an Alladin's cave, I just don't want shelves of tons of DVDs to be on show all the time.
Great product you're promoting. I usr plastic sheet protectors and cut up file folders and fold the movie jacket and place the disc in it into a zippered case it notebook case. I have many dvds and I love the extra space they give.
Thank you so much Annette! I’m so glad I chose your video to watch! I’m downsizing my belongings because I moved into a smaller space and I was looking for the best way to store my DVDS! 👏🏻🤗

Wonderful review of two equally great products. I like to place discs in a Tyvek c.d. envelope, which protects the media and will not scratch it like a one made out of paper will. I store music discs, DVDs (movies and video games), Sega Dreamcast games, and Blu-ray movies and video games. None of them have a scratch on them.

Head to 3:20 Explains it all! This is an excellent option besides ripping dvd's to one drive and saying goodbye to physical media, but I know sometimes if someone has obscure titles, or wants to keep the discs, something must be done. I loathe DVD cases. They're too large, and take up too much physical space. If someone wants a quicker option. Just get the 8.5 x 11 slip sleeve sheets. Slip dvd's into individual envelopes (like those by Maxell do the trick), and that's it. They won't be a perfect fit like those in this video, but it will get the job done. However, I *really* like these perfect slip sleeves. Thanks for posting this!!!!
My thoughts exactly! Plus, it's hard to take it out of the sleeve without having to grab it and touch the data side. In a sleeve, you can't grab it by the sides. I still like the idea, but my discs will get damaged in sleeves. I don't like anything touching the data side, not even the paper cover or the plastic sleeve. I'll just stick with my cases for now.

Some DVDs were released in eco-friendly thin cardboard packaging, not unlike what you show here. Al Gore's film An Inconvenient Truth was released on DVD this way. It certainly saves space. But discs need protection during shipments to warehouses, stores, etc. That's why this type of packaging never caught on in the industry. Discs need protection in your home too, and they should ideally be stored in their original plastic cases. An envelope could accumulate debris that could scratch the disc when you move it in and out. This is in addition to the considerable time and effort needed to move all discs to binders. I would only do what you do if the original packaging is lousy.
