With the amount of issues it had, I'm sure 3 weeks just wasn't nearly enough time to fix all of them. That probably just gave them enough time to get it from completely broken to mostly functional.
The one thing I don't get about Bode's arc is why no one thought to bring up the fact that Tanalorr could _easily_ hold both a new Jedi Order _and_ himself and his daughter; it wasn't mutually exclusive.
Yeah, great game. I loved what they added to the gameplay since JFO and Cal is a really cool character. To be fair I parted ways with Star Wars fandom 15 years ago and it's the only story that made me come back
Coming from someone who liked Fallen Order, but didn't love it (part of that was my meh feelings towards Cal in the first game), Survivor truly was fantastic for me, despite the performance issues.. and despite maybe none of the villains being quite as compelling as Merrin, though Bode would come closest, with Rayvis being an entertaining follow-up to the end. I do have a small wishlist for the third game: 1.) More cute Cal & Merrin moments. Those were very much the highlight of my Survivor playthrough at the time. 2.) The ability to hold at least 3 different stances at the same time. I wanted to switch between dual wield, double bladed, and blaster stance in the midst of battle so badly. 3.) I want a pet Droideka! 4.) Release it polished and complete this time (the biggest longshot of my list). 5.) Most important of all: Donuts.
The performance is better than according to everyone who played this game on launch (I just got the game few weeks ago). But it's still has technical imperfections that predecessor was plagued with. For example, sometimes Cal perform finishers on giant fauna enemies while they levitating about one foot above the ground (but it might be justified by the Force.? I dk, I'm not a SW nerd), and physics of certain clothes(most notable example, poncho during cutscenes). But despite of all of that, both Jedi games are damn great. And your video is also great, Colin. I would love, if for the plot of the third game, devs decided to go with the story of rebuilding of Rabel Alliance just like in the Force Unnleashed. And, maybe, Cal and Galen would unite, and we can chose to play both of them. Yeah, as you can see, I'm only like both Jedi games and first Force Unleashed from the whole star wars multi media.
Jedi Survivor is one of the few games I would consider almost perfect right alongside Resident Evil 7 as well as Dark Souls 3 and Batman Arkham Asylum. I can sit down and play these games over and over and still repeat all of the lines of dialogue and have the muscle memory to breeze through a lot of them. My relationship with these games are like when I was little and my dad could quote the entirety of all of the Star Wars movies. What a life to have lives :) The fps on launch was terrible and I played on PS5, I have recently revisited the PS5 version and it is amazing now though it should have been then and I have also played the PC version and while it has issues it was at least playable.
I still agree with moistcritikal on the node part of the story. He never needed to betray cal just because the hidden path was going to use tanalorr, bode would’ve been fine bringing his daughter to tanalorr
I think the 3rd entry will start with an empire siege on tanalor making Cal understand hiding is not the option, he will have to train Kata because she is probably sensible to the force, and probably Merrin or Greez die at the siege making Cal want to kill Darth Vader, it will surprise me if the third game has nothing of what I just said
I don't think that's going to happen, for the simple reason that these games are kind of stuck having to line up with the events of the original trilogy. That simple fact pretty much prevents Cal from doing anything truly meaningful to stop the Empire, because that job is meant to fall to Luke and Leia. If Cal goes back to fight the Empire directly, that pretty much means the only viable outcome for him is to die a meaningless death, fighting a battle that he has no hope of winning, which is exactly what all of his friends were trying to tell him. I'm pretty sure that's why Jedi Survivor had him find Tanalorr in the first place. The writers of these games likely want Cal to survive after the end of this trilogy, and the only way to make that happen is to have his story center around something that isn't the war against the Empire. Now he can make a positive difference in the galaxy, without throwing himself into a fight he can't possibly win. The Empire needs to be defeated, but defeating the Empire isn't Cal's destiny.

I play this game on pc, and no matter which combination of setting I choose, there is stuttering in multiple areas, especially on Koboh. I really enjoyed Jedi Fallen Order, I was disappointed in Jedi Survivor (because of the performance issues and because I liked the story much less than JFO’s). If the next Jedi game has performance issues on pc, I will not buy it. In this type of game performance should be high on the development priority list in my opinion, because precision blocking, precision evades and the overall immersion in the game break, if thegame stutters regularly. Otherwise I enjoyed JS.
Just want to clarify the misinformation Ea is for once not the reason a games launch sucked. Now to be clear EA is in no way loves the consumor and while now these days they are more of the anti hero then the villian ea does actually have a history of ruining game launches However EA offered an indefinite delay tk jedi survivor because EA is hands off with respawn dirrector genuinley beleived the games bugs could be fixed in 6 weeks to launch. I bring this up because credit is given where credit is due. Plus criticism is given where its due.
I definitely like this game but middle really dragged for me. Start was great , ending was awesome but middle I had to push through to the end. Still excited for next one and hopefully pacing better. Even the first one with the backtracking felt it was better paced but that’s just my opinion.
I kind of agree. The plot device felt even more plot devicy in this game than the first one. There were also less planets and you were always jumping back and forth between them. The first game had a better reason and flow for traveling between them. I hope the third game is honestly just about fighting off a horde of Imperials, Inquisitors, and Darth Vader himself as they come for Tanalore
I just hope that the third game ends with Cal living and the Jedi having a future something Disney never let them have in the Sequels but they let stupid dumb Mandalorians get to have.
But he's such a good character he doesn't deserve to die it's fine with Ahsoka and Ezra get to live pass the OT why can't Cal he's a way better character than them?@@superjlk_9538
@@superjlk_9538 Seems like Cal might survive since Disney and Cameron have displayed interest in adapting the character for live action. I also hope he sacrifices himself so that Kathleen Kennedy doesn't ruin the character the same way they did Kenobi and Boba fett.

Complain , complain , complain.
@@CCC.1271 but it is true
Just want to clarify the misinformation
Ea is for once not the reason a games launch sucked.
Now to be clear EA is in no way loves the consumor and while now these days they are more of the anti hero then the villian ea does actually have a history of ruining game launches
However EA offered an indefinite delay tk jedi survivor because EA is hands off with respawn dirrector genuinley beleived the games bugs could be fixed in 6 weeks to launch.
I bring this up because credit is given where credit is due. Plus criticism is given where its due.
I just think it needed more planets idk why it was limited
I can agree to an extent but I think we got enough content. But I wouldn't mind more
I definitely like this game but middle really dragged for me.
I think Cal will die. He HAS to fight Vader and Cal will probably sacrifice himself to save his family.
@@baki484 I would prefer to have his story end. I’d hate to see him show up in a Thrawn movie lol
Mysterio!?!?,

💀
@@C0LIN.Just curious, what are your opinions of Baldur's Gate 3?
The only thing I don’t like this game has is the physical copy. The physical copy has one big 100gb disc as usual, but you need to download the rest of the game too, would it take much more for 2 100gb discs?
PC supremacy
@@C0LIN. PC is superior for some people, but I had no enjoyment on my pc as opposed to the ps5
