You are just a maddeningly talented story teller, with your pacing, your clip choices, and the way you weave both the story of the game and its development together.
There was something so cool about fighting the Ninth Sister - one of the toughest bosses in the first game - as your very first here. Back then, you were barely getting stronger, facing against her should be a harrowing challenge. Here, she barely changes; you KNOW how she fights. And that is why she is so easy to fight, easy to fall. Thematically, those who fail to change end up being the ones who lose. Cal, and us as the player, have grown and succeeded.
Beautifully said!! And so very true. Ninth Sister doesn't move on, and pays the price. Over the course of Survivor, Cal struggles to move on, and pays a price of his own. Everything in this game is so well thought-out 😮💨
The first game was Cal's journey from a Padawan to a Jedi Knight. Survivor is his journey to Jedi Master. Which also puts his struggle with the Dark Side into perspective - it's easy to percieve it as something unique for Cal, forced onto him by the circumstances of his adventure, but at the same time, "every Jedi faces the Dark Side". Just like Cere did. Just like Dagan did. Just like Bode did.
I replayed the first game right before survivor came out, I was so happy with how similar the two fights are. She has most of the same moves as she had in the first game, it feels as if Cal has just grown and she's still the same.
@@MITOLLdesu Cal is no master yet he still has a long way to go, and by tradition you can't be made a master until finishing the training of a Padawan. There is a 9 year gap in the timeline between survivor and new hope so even if we do see another 5-7 year time skip there is a pretty good chance that Cal will be made one by the end of the last game. But no Jedi can really live during new hope and the original trilogy without doing some shenanigans around Luke and the rebellion. Cal is a Jedi Knight and closely associated with the rebels, if it was so important that Luke trains to be a Jedi why wouldn't Cal help train him? The only real solution to that little conundrum is exile or death, Rebels had the same issue and needed to use the same solution.
@@Edmuresrampantmanhood-dp3jd They found a way around it with the first game much to peoples anger a jedi order couldn't exist which is why Cal destroyed the holocron. In legends there were plenty of jedi who survived past the empire and even went on to be a part of Luke's jedi order. Like K'Kruhk and Trasa. Cal could be Disney's version of that. Preferably it's best he dies in the end of the 3rd game so that Disney's other writers don't ruin him like they did Kenobi or Boba fett. Sam Maggs did enough damage with her book. I'm certainly not looking for the character to overstay his welcome like Ahsoka who should've died fighting Vader.
Probably the best experience I had playing the game was just at the end when I was about to get 100% the only thing I had left was to speak to some of the people at the Pyloon's Saloon and after getting all the possible dialogue from each character they all left, one by one. It was quite profound especially since it expanded on the message of the game of moving on. Quite an amazing experience.
"Persistence reveals the path" but keeps another Hidden. Couldn't be more poetic because if it wasn't for Cal's sacrificial persistent fight against the empire, for him being this bait, the thorn in empire's ass, the shining target for everyone to see - the Hidden Path may not have been able to thrive at all. If you look at the bigger picture: Cal, indirectly, but with the consequences of his actions, already saved Leia and Obi Wan. And with this saved both futures of Rebellion and A New Hope. I wonder if Cal ever finds out about Lira San. You know, a Lasat planet, secure from the empire, hidden inside the deadly abyss. But with no Dark Jedi to fight for it.
Love the cosmic significance you've applied here. However people feel about execution, there's something really cool about the domino effect sown through all the stories told between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. So many small things eventually contribute to the toppling of the Empire. It underscores that Star Wars really is one big mythology.
I'm honestly surprised you didn't point out the almost scary similarities to Bode and Anakin's fall. They both hurt and killed those that trusted them. They both fought against their best friends due to that betrayal. That they betrayed everything they stood for (or pretended to, at least for Bode's case), and that it was all for the one person they loved the most. And that with how far they had fallen int darkenss, hurt the very people they tried so hard to protect. The only difference between them is that, unlike Obi Wan, who left Anakin to suffer his wounds and couldn't bring himself to kill him, Cal did kill Bode in the end. Because he was simply too far gone to be saved.
Oh Anakin crossed my mind a lot when analyzing not just Bode, but Cal as well. There really are so many connections, and very big Anakin vs Obi-Wan energy in that final fight. I love that Vader has a presence in these games because his story really serves as a tragic omen for the characters here who embrace the dark-side. The only point of yours I disagree with is that Bode was too far gone. Obi-Wan said the same thing of Vader in Return of the Jedi, yet Luke brought him back. Redemption is possible for anyone in Star Wars, but that's what makes Bode's death even more tragic. It wasn't the Jedi way to kill him, and I think that Cal does it with a blaster underlines that. The morality there is blurry. But thank you so much for watching!
@@ArTorrPresents I agree strongly with you Especially with how tragic it is. Perhaps Bode could've been brought back to the light if circumstances were different. But too much has happened to Cal and Bode for a peaceful resolution to be had. I think honestly Bodes blaster not firing was the final turning point for Cal that any option of peace he wanted for Bode, was too risky. Very blurry indeed with the morality, like you said. I loved it! I had been waiting for this video a while. You delivered it with flying colors!
Speaking of the development of game, EA did not force Respawn to release. It was revealed that Stig Asmussen, the game's director, denied any further delays, even though EA was open to it. That's why the game launch with technical issues.
Oh that's interesting. Usually it's the opposite dynamic. Can't say he made the right call there, but game dev is hard, there aren't easy decisions in it.
I think it's in good hands-- Jason De Heras is the creative director now, previously the lead designer. He was one of the handful of people in the room with Stig during the earliest conversations about Jedi Fallen Order. So while it is disappointing to see him go, I'm optimistic about how the next game will be handled.
Not to sound like im out here throwing conspiracy theories, but maybe EA tried to spin their PR and say Stig denied additional time in the oven for the game, and that made Stig leave. In order to prevent him being their fall guy again. I mean his goodbye statement when leaving Respawn wasn’t even written by him. Idk, there was something off to me in that whole fiasco, but maybe im just putting too much thought into it. Just hope the 3rd game stick the landing for the trilogy.
Jedi survivor is my favorite game of all time and I feel fully justified in saying that The characters, the structure, the combat, the story, everything is amazing
I´ve been watching your videos for a while now and I have to say it's always something special to watch them. The production quality and storytelling are just insane and somehow are getting even better over time. Keep up the excellent work!
These two Jedi games are next to older Zelda and Metroid games for me. The best games I've played since OOT and ninja gaiden black. I don't particularly love Star wars as a whole. It's never resonated with me, but this game series has made me excited to learn more lore and i can't recommend it enough to anybody and everybody i know. Just watching this video made my heart skip a beat and since OOT, or the original Halo trilogy, no other game has ever been able to do that to me. I love it more than words and I'm gonna replay both games for the rest of my life and love them both every time. These games have something so special and EA better never change the formula for profit like dead space 3. That would break my heart.
I recently finished Jedi Survivor for like the fourth time. I clicked on your video because I loved the game. Now I love your video! Jedi Survivor is one of the best Star Wars stories out there.
7:59 “it’s time to set you free”, this mirrors words from the sith code. I played the whole game assuming that Cal had already been struggling with the dark side of the force. The game did not disappoint.
Previously my favorite video ever was the Journey of Fallen Order, even used the video for an essay 😂. This video is so brilliant and is now definitely my favorite video i’ve ever watched, keep up the great work!!!
The ending of this video, talking about the struggle of the game's development, really got to me... I've been struggling for a while. I have serious insecurities, I have had traumatic experiences... Even though it's been a few years since then, I still have progress to make. But...if this game has taught me anything, it's that we all deserve a chance, and we should understand we are never alone. Thanks for another amazing video that explores the story and how it serves as an analogy for the people who make art to help others struggling with their past.
Amen my friend. I'm struggling with stuff myself, so I'm really grateful this can be a bridge between the both of us, and Jedi Survivor a reminder of those things. Thank you always for the support, I appreciate your comments 😀
I'm glad it does. We all have our own problems, our trauma...I certainly am not the only one. But we have to recognize that out past does not define us. Like Yoda told Luke in The Last Jedi, "The greatest teacher failure is."
My final trophy was to finish the bounty hunter quest line. When [Spoilers] appears, I felt like I was 5 years old watching ANH all over again. Survivor and Andor brought RESPECT back to Star Wars in a major way.
I know I am always in for a crazy treat anytime you upload! Especially Star Wars. Your videos deserves tens of millions of views. You’re the GOAT man keep it up.
I’m so glad someone else felt this way about this impeccable story. It was special, truly an incredible experience. Most people have said the story was mid or nothing crazy. But I looked at it the same way you have. Which I’m so happy to know i was not alone. I will never forget this game. And I cannot wait for Jedi 3. “A story of love and loss and the death of dreams” I’ve cried many times thanks to this game. This is one of my favorite TH-cam videos I’ve ever watched, and that goes for every one of your Star Wars videos. Please never change.

That was beautiful. Thank you so much for this video. Wow. Man, I knew this video would be good but. Boy. This was amazing. I don't really know how to explain why it is so good, but you are such a good storyteller. It's so cool to see how much your editing has improved, those shot mixes were stunning. Your channel deserves so much more attention! Thank you for once again delivering a masterpiece of a video! Survivor is definitely one of my last chip is my favorite games next year this is one of the best retrospectives I’ve ever seen man, all your hard work comes together amazingly! thanks for this video! ArTorr, your editing has become spellbinding. I can't wait to see what you cook up next, because it is an absolute joy to watch these videos that are obviously close to your heart. Thank you!
I will never cease to be amazed at how cleverly edited these videos are. The choice and placement of the various flashbacks highlight parallels in these games’ stories that I never would have noticed myself, and help me appreciate the layers of depth so much more. Bloody incredible.
AMAZING!!! Thank you so much for making this video! I loved this game when I played it but couldn't really put it into words what I got out of it. I looked at a dozen reviews, none had such detailed love and appreciation for the story as yours! I was expecting you to talk about the difficult phase this game had with the performance issues but I'm kinda glad you didn't. It wouldn't fit as nicely. Beautiful!! Much love bro! Keep doing what you do best!!
The performance issues are super unfortunate, and I think the biggest reason why some folks haven't played the game yet. But I stuck with the personal experience I had with the game, and connected that where it fit to the story behind its development. So I'm very glad you enjoyed it!
Your videos are truly a cut above, Artorr. Didn’t know how much I needed this video and this message. What a joy to be present and alive at the same time as this video. Next stop, the third installment!
I just came across your channel today and proceeded to watch your Jedi Fallen Order Video and then this one. As one who is obsessed with these Jedi games. I think this is the best and most true analysis/deep-dive of this story and the power it can have that I have ever had the pleasure to watch. Truly doing this game's story and message justice. It truly felt as if I was playing the game again and following this story for the first time. What an incredible video.
this is an unbelievably well made video. it’s nice to see a proper dissection of this story as i thought it incredibly underrated. probably the best star wars we’ve got since clone wars. amazing editing great appreciation of the ost. would love to see u take a look at the red dead story as it’s so deep and rich in characters and i feel your style of content would fit that narrative like a glove. 10/10 man u deserve wayyyyy more subs keep at it.
Oh I LOVE Red Dead. Those games are near the top of my list for games I'd do a video on. Hopefully I can get around to it sooner rather than later. Grateful the video resonated for you, thank you for watching 🙏
Thank you PARKES…for such an amazing and phenomenal job. The words of aspiration after the Jeddah sequence and in the very end helped me… to reevaluate my life stance and be rid of fear and bitter anger. You inspire people to believe and create art. Thank you and may the FORCE be with you.
This video perfectly captured what made this game special and what echoes in my mind every time I think about it. You are a masterful story teller. I can only imagine how great you must be around a campfire or on a late night game chat. Truly loved this video. Thank you
Hits just as hard as the first one… I did have one note I wanted to mention in regards to the Jedha segment, despite being a desert, the planet is ironically cold, it’s described to be in a state of permanent winter which is why in Rogue One Cassian and Jyn were dressed in so many layers. Merrin even mentions it at some point in the game tho idk when. It’s a small detail that I figured I’d mention but everything else is fantastically written as usual. That intro with the Ghost Star lullaby got me tearing up so quick I’m embarrassed, and while the mission to rescue Zee from Dagan was my least favorite section of the game the choice to put Clone Wars intro over Cal’s return to Koboh makes it much more enjoyable than before. Great work man, can’t wait to see your essay for the next one.
Yeahh a few folks have pointed out the Jedha thing and honesty, I don't know why I never caught that after Rogue One. Slipped my brain. But cheers man! Glad you enjoyed the video 🙌
RPGs are such a great way to spend your free time and so enriching to your life, they're truly underrated. I used to play Skyrim 10 hours a day, when my parents went to bed I'd take my Xbox downstairs to keep playing. Then, my acne cleared up, i lost some weight and fell in love with a gorgeous girl at college. I haven't played since, but the memories are still so dear to me. Me and her stopped seeing each other bout 4 years ago and a few relationships later I started seeing this other gal, she was a big fan of Animal Crossing and she showed me her farm and all that stuff, and it took me back to nostalgic memories. Animal Crossing is kind of like an RPG, right, guys? We play all the time in bed, I guess I'm still a gamer after all and always will be.
This watch was absolutely fantastic. Every time I get a notification for one of your videos I almost always immediately drop whatever I'm doing to watch. Your storytelling is absolutely impeccable and you can really feel your personal touch all throughout this video, especially in the final third. Keep on doing what you're doing Parkes. This is one of the best games I have played. Only BOTW, MGSV, Arkham City, Prey and Sekiro rival the enjoyment I have with this game. Another reason I love this game is because it highlights the return of a genre that was relatively dead for decades, the 3d action platformer. If you enjoy Prince of Persia, Ratchet & Clank, Jak or even the Sonic Adventure games, you will love this game. This game is NOT a souls like, it gas more in common with a game like Ratchet and Clank (the original trilogy) than with souls
I know Star Wars has had some 3D platformer elements in the past, but it's amazing it took this long for a Star Wars game that really capitalized on 3D platforming with Jedi powers. It just makes too much sense. Also love the Jak & Ratchet and Clank comparisons. Thanks for watching!
Bro’s work on this is beyond describable. I get goosebumps on every time you describe the major incident in the game even though i know everything going on
I watch your videos over and over again and everytime I am more impressed. Thanks for your devotion to tell those stories for us. I feel very privileged having you here on the tube.
1:12:12-Can I just say how much I love this bit here? "As a child now stands to lose herself to a darkness of her own, it's a promise Cal will now make. It's what Cere did for him.- _"Cal; guide her through the darkness."_ "It's what a Jedi was born to do." And then all of those shots of Master and Apprentice, of those Jedi who have taken it upon themselves to take such bright young souls and lead them to become the best they could be; Plo and Ahsoka, Qui-Gon and Anakin, Anakin and Ahsoka, Obi-Wan and Anakin, Kanan and Ezra, Obi-Wan and Luke, Luke and Rey; got me tearing up. That, I believe, is one of the truest elements of what it means to be a Jedi; to pass on what you have learned, to guide the next generation out of the Dark and into the Light. As Yoda said, "We are, what they grow beyond."
I am actually really worried for the next game without Stig Asmussen and a few others not retuning for the next game; I am glad he is starting his own studio though, we need more game directors with visions out there untied to do what they do best.
Damn!!! That was probably the most beautiful video essay I've had the pleasure of watching in a while now. You sir, are what I aspire to in my own writing!!! 10/10!!! Keep up the bangers!!!!🤯🤯🤯🤯
I am forever on the countdown for your videos. Your presence and dialogue encapsulates everything I am thinking and more. You open up avenues of story telling I would never think of. Thank you.
Really, really good! I was riveted through the whole thing. It’s so much deeper than I’ve seen before, with connections made that I never considered. A deep look into Cal’s troubled psyche that helps us to understand our own, balanced with hope and positivity. Great job!
Even though I hadn´t touched the game for ten months when I completed it, I was right back into it after the first few minutes. This however is not surprising given I felt the same with every of your videos I watched in the past. You are a great editor and an even greater writer. It is evident that you put a lot of thought and time into the video and I cannot wait for the next one. Thank you!
I’ve been absolutely hooked on your JFO review and have been waiting for your take on Survivor. It has been well worth the wait. You have done incredible work and I hope you are proud of what you made
Dude, if I didn't know any better I would've guessed you just compiled a bunch of trailers together to make your video (like those really good deep dive trailers to build hype), the music, the breakdowns, your slick sentences at every point made. This is a treat to watch.
Wow, I'm just amazed at this video! That Clone Wars bit was hilarious, but SO on point. You really made me love the story of Jedi: Survivor, it's characters, & Cal's journey so much more than I already did! And I love the inclusion of Fields of Dusk not once, but TWICE?! You have great taste my friend 😌👏🏻 "Simply being yourself is a worthy act of defiance..." - Couldn't have said it better myself & this is exactly one of the main points I was trying to make on my own video on Cal & the Star Wars Jedi games.
I love this game. I was very excited for Spider-Man 2 but i played this one after black Friday discount and it was such a good experience, possibly overshadowing SM2 even though i am a huge Spider-Man fan. If the next one continues like this this could be one of the best trilogies in gaming history. And even though Horizon zero dawn and the witcher 3 are my favorite games ever, this somehow earned its spot the more i watch videos about it and reminisce the past. I love this game
Such a underrated game because we had so much great games that year but for a Star Wars fan like me jedi survivor was everything I wanted and more amazing video man making me redownload this masterpiece again
I finally was able to get around to this video and boy was it worth the wait! As usual stunning editing and narration. I finished the game earlier this year and I really liked it. Now hearing the story from your perspective, you thoughts and the themes you weave into it, have helped give me comfort at this point in my life. Between struggling to go back to college and making the sacrifices needed to put myself onto a better path I empathize with Cal's journey even more than I did before. This video has given me much comfort on a day where my own journey has left me feeling worn, a little lonely, and looking to keep that fire alive to see through my own trails to make it to a better place. Hopefully with less tragedy than Cal. Thank you ArTorr.
Another banger. I'll have to be going at this video bit by bit as I've only got so much time. Edit: Wow, this was a good one. The messages from the game that you brought up are something I'm going to have to keep reflecting on in the coming days.
I gotta commend you for how well the editing and presentation is for this video its downright cinematic in the best way possible by narrating the story and highlighting all the events but it also made me feel less salty about the story revolving around a wild goose hunt chase for a specific planet with highlighting all of what it represents
Incredibly well written. I loved Jedi Survivor. It really was a shame that the performance issues became a majority of the focus because the whole package itself was such a great story and probably my favorite Star Wars story ever.
I look forward to your videos. They're always fun to watch. As someone who loves star wars and mass effect I always walk away from your uploads feeling super validated. Keep it up!
Can't believe you uploaded this right as I started replaying this game. Just finished it again today but this vid makes me want to start again immediately
This was a journey inside the journey. Incredible video. You really are an amazing storyteller even if you had me at ”Ghost Star”. Thank you for this beautiful work.
This is a really special video. I just wanted to highlight your brief montage of jedi taking on apprentices at the end - it stopped my breath for a moment, I thought your choice conveyed SO much emotion while the music swelled to a hopeful resolution. Really well done! I can't wait to see what else you produce in 2024.
I can't watch the video yet since I still haven't played the game (waiting for the PS4 port!), but have a like since your channel and retrospectives are beautifully written and thought-out. I rewatch a bunch of your other videos all the time 😀
Thank you so much, I totally understand holding off on it until you've played, and appreciate you taking the time to like and comment regardless. Much love
Great video. I was a little afraid of 1h18 length but it's really enjoyable and doesn't seem long at all. The only thing I caught myself disagreeing about is "Cal's warmongering" part. As someone who lived most of my life in a dictatorship and knowing too well how it feels like to be it's enemy I don't consider finding a safe place and gathering forces against a dictator "a warmongering" or "lust for power". It's a little more complicated than just that
Aye that's a very valid reason for disagreeing and I value your perspective. I suppose in the vacuum of Star Wars, it's easier to apply the binary of good and evil over people's actions. But in real practice, that binary probably doesn't hold up the same. I do maintain that there are dark personal consequences for Cal's way of thinking (engaging in constant war with the Empire, not so much seeking refuge), but you can't entirely fault him for the oppressive regime that has necessitated that. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts.
GREAT VIDEO MAN!!! I love your interpretation of Star Wars Stories! I was heartbroken when this game wasn't released on the PS4. Getting to watch and live this game through this video put a piece of me back together. Can't wait for the next one!
This is the first time I ever stumbled upon one of your videos, and I love every second of it, your pacing and story telling hooked me! Amazing! Thanks for the content chief
you are so unbelievably eloquent, talented, creative and every other positive word i could possible think of!! ive been looking forward to this ever since may last year and the wait was SO WORTH IT!! love your stuff man, keep it up ❤️
I played this over the summer, and I knew you would make a great video about it. I couldn't wait to see how you used your editing style to depict all the amazing moments in this game :)
How in the First Mission when KX Security Droid Hits Cal wasn't everywhere The internet that moments would have been Meme to Death 😂 Love You ArTorr 👍❤
Wow. This video is just... Wow. You know how to tell a story. The pacing in the editing is absolutely breathtaking. Your use of montage is SO beautifully done. Little things like music cutting out when dagan turns off that thing (... Or at least I remember it being dagan). Beautiful 😗👌 magnifique!
You are just a maddeningly talented story teller, with your pacing, your clip choices, and the way you weave both the story of the game and its development together.
The sequel’s story, in my opinion, was probably looked past or overlooked due to the games…. Technical difficulties.
Thank you!! 😃
Well said, it's not even flattery it's just true
Agreed 100% this was beyond fantastic
It’s is a journey for us all and your vids remind me of that. Thank you Artorr
Fallen order and survivor are my favorite pieces of Star Wars media, something about them feels special
They're so quintessentially Star Wars, yet Respawn found a voice on both that is so unique from the rest of the franchise. Plus they have Greez 😅
@@ArTorrPresents the sense of exploration I felt while playing survivor was amazing, far different then anything else from Star Wars
Somehow, the most Star Wars things are often the ones who try to get far from traditional Star Wars : Jedi Survivor/FO, KOTOR 1/2, Andor, etc....
Oh how this game handles it's post-story gameplay is so brilliant. The world still has a story to tell, and it truly stings. It's bittersweet.
Honestly, one of the most underated TH-camrs out there. :)
He knew everyone was so excited for the game and rushed it a bit, even with the bugs it was such an amazing game.
Oh that's interesting. Usually it's the opposite dynamic. Can't say he made the right call there, but game dev is hard, there aren't easy decisions in it.
@@ArTorrPresents I'm mostly worried about Stig Asmussen leaving and how it will affect the 3rd game.
Jedi survivor is my favorite game of all time and I feel fully justified in saying that
The characters, the structure, the combat, the story, everything is amazing
I´ve been watching your videos for a while now and I have to say it's always something special to watch them. The production quality and storytelling are just insane and somehow are getting even better over time. Keep up the excellent work!
Thank you so much!!
"I've been looking forward to this"
"This is where the fun begins"
Agreed!! Glad you loved the video 😃
@@ArTorrPresents I actually would go as far as to say that your video was the best Jedi Survivor essay I've seen. Greetings from Germany!
7:59 “it’s time to set you free”, this mirrors words from the sith code. I played the whole game assuming that Cal had already been struggling with the dark side of the force. The game did not disappoint.
That’s a fantastic point that I can’t believe I didn’t get before. I wonder if that was intentional writing or not.
Previously my favorite video ever was the Journey of Fallen Order, even used the video for an essay 😂. This video is so brilliant and is now definitely my favorite video i’ve ever watched, keep up the great work!!!
Oh dude, I'm honored!! Even more that you prefer this video now. Thank you for watching!!

This is the best video I've seen so far this year, and the best on Jedi Survivor by far. ArTorr , you're a great writer, man.
Thank you :) I have imposter syndrome with my writing so I genuinely super appreciate it. Glad you enjoyed!!
I hope every single person that worked in this game will watch your video, respect!
Thank you kindly. And will do!
The Complicated Story of Asajj Ventress There was something so cool about fighting the Ninth Sister - one of the toughest bosses in the first game - as your very first here. Back then, you were barely getting stronger, facing her should be a harrowing challenge. Here, she barely changes; you KNOW how she fights. And that is why she is so easy to fight, easy to fall. Thematically, those who fail to change end up being the ones who lose. Cal, and we as the players, have grown and succeeded. Artwork in the building Previously my favorite video ever was the Journey of Fallen Order, even used the video for an essay. My pleasure always. Thank you for such a kind comment!
I think Koboh is now my favorite planet in Star Wars. It’s score definitely holds a lot of the credit.
Your video on Jedi Fallen Order introduced me to both story-first gaming and video essays. Been waiting for this one. Cheers❤
Your videos are truly a cut above, Artorr. Didn’t know how much I needed this video and this message. What a joy to be present and alive at the same time as this video. Next stop, the third installment!
Cheers!! So grateful for what these videos have brought to you. Thank you for watching and keep on keeping on 😃
I just came across your channel today and proceeded to watch your Jedi Fallen Order Video and then this one.
Aye thank you so much. I love these games and it's a pleasure to share the experience I had with them. Welcome to the channel!

I swear your editing makes the case that the recap for the first game at the beginning of survivor was made just for you to utilize
Oh I had a lot of fun playing around with transitions and sound fx over that recap in editing. Glad you thought so 😃
This video perfectly captured what made this game special and what echoes in my mind every time I think about it. You are a masterful story teller. I can only imagine how great you must be around a campfire or on a late night game chat. Truly loved this video. Thank you
You flatter me, friend. Thanks for checking this out!
Hits just as hard as the first one…
I did have one note I wanted to mention in regards to the Jedha segment, despite being a desert, the planet is ironically cold, it’s described to be in a state of permanent winter which is why in Rogue One Cassian and Jyn were dressed in so many layers.
From Clone Wars Adventures lets plays to the best video essays I have ever seen, this guy can do it all
So long ago, and yet... I'm still lost in the Star Wars Galaxy 😋 grateful for your support all this time, you a real one
Well worth the wait. Bravo, man! Game was great, but this was video was even better :)
Kinny my guy, thank you. Always grateful for your support 🙏

That means so much to me Odhran. Always grateful to have your support. Thank you kindly friend 💛
I get goosebumps on every time you describe the major incident in the game even though i know everything going on
Thank you, Daimyo 🫡
I watch your videos over and over again and everytime I am more impressed. Thanks for your devotion to tell those stories for us. I feel very privileged having you here on the tube.
I love making these things and I'm grateful you guys love them too, so thank you all the same 💛
1:12:12-Can I just say how much I love this bit here?
Oh dang, I didn't realize that was the case. Now I'm even more worried than I already was. Yikes
Damn!!! That was probably the most beautiful video essay I've had the pleasure of watching in a while now. You sir, are what I aspire to in my own writing!!! 10/10!!! Keep up the bangers!!!!🤯🤯🤯🤯

I'm flattered. Thank you for the support and for always tuning in. Kudos 🙏

Thank you!
Your fallen order video was the first of yours I watched and one of my favourites on the whole platform that I’ve came back to again and again
That's awesome. I appreciate the continued support. You rock 😃

Dude, if I didn't know any better I would've guessed you just compiled a bunch of trailers together to make your video (like those really good deep dive trailers to build hype), the music, the breakdowns, your slick sentences at every point made. This is a treat to watch.
I'm honored. I spend a lot of time editing these things. Thanks for the kudos
I’ve been extremely excited for this video since it was announced!
You have great taste my friend 😌👏🏻
"Simply being yourself is a worthy act of defiance..." - Couldn't have said it better myself & this is exactly one of the main points I was trying to make on my own video on Cal & the Star Wars Jedi games.
Scotty! So kind of you to check this out and leave a comment. I appreciate your words and am very glad you enjoyed the video 🙌
This is a certified emotionally moving banger

Thank you for once again delivering a masterpiece of a video! Survivor is definitely one of my favorite games
How do you have so few subs... This is amazing. Quality that surpasses bigger channels!

Always a joy to share what I love so much about these stories. Grateful it meant something to you. Cheers 🙌

I gotta commend you for how well the editing and presentation is for this video its downright cinematic in the best way possible by narrating the story and highlighting all the events but it also made me feel less salty about the story revolving around a wild goose hunt chase for a specific planet with highlighting all of what it represents
Would love to see a video on The Outer Wilds. It's a once in a lifetime experience.
Everyone says that and I have NO IDEA what I'm missing out on so I really have to play it!
Keep it up!
Heck yeah! Thank you always for watching!
Can't believe you uploaded this right as I started replaying this game. Just finished it again today but this vid makes me want to start again immediately
This was a journey inside the journey. Incredible video. You really are an amazing storyteller even if you had me at ”Ghost Star”. Thank you for this beautiful work.
Always my pleasure 😊

PRESENT
This is a really special video. I just wanted to highlight your brief montage of jedi taking on apprentices at the end - it stopped my breath for a moment, I thought your choice conveyed SO much emotion while the music swelled to a hopeful resolution. Really well done! I can't wait to see what else you produce in 2024.
That's what I hoped would come across! :) So glad you enjoyed and stay tuned!
Much love
Mans puts together like 47 different trailers for the game and makes me mad there isn't a movie that does the whole thing lmao. Good shit fam.
Simply amazing video! Thank you for making me appreciate Survivor (and fallen order) even more than I already do 🙏🏼
My pleasure!!
This game is ridiculously good
And this video makes it 10 times better
Man that echo of Bode singing with his daughter kinda hit deep for me idk, really sad.
GREAT VIDEO MAN!!! I love your interpretation of Star Wars Stories! I was heartbroken when this game wasn't released on the PS4. Getting to watch and live this game through this video put a piece of me back together. Can't wait for the next one!
Cheers my friend 😃 It's sad to hear how many people weren't able to play it. But I'm glad to know the video still let you experience it on some level
This is the first time I ever stumbled upon one of your videos, and I love every second of it, your pacing and story telling hooked me! Amazing! Thanks for the content chief
My pleasure boss. Welcome to the channel!!
I haven't been able to play the game so I've been enjoying hearing others talk about it. Great work on the video!

I played this over the summer, and I knew you would make a great video about it. I couldn't wait to see how you used your editing style to depict all the amazing moments in this game :)
