Hoyt is making a great product nowadays. I’ve got the Ventum 33 (2021 Bow of the Year) and it’s extremely fast, quiet and smooth. I’ve carried it in rough terrain and also in and out of many vehicles. The Bow has taken a pounding on many occasions with no problems.
I know I'm late to the party here, but my wife just won one of these for me at a Whitetails Unlimited banquet. I can't wait to get it all set up and dialed in!
People have lofty expectations these days from these bow manufacturers. Every season they expect the shock and awe of a new bow when in reality how much more speed, innovation can you realistically expect. Then there’s the price, something else to complain about…the fact is there are enough people who will pay that price. Incremental changes over an existing platform, that’s reality. Of course, it’s the internet some folks are ecstatic with the new release, while others take to furious keyboarding to say their piece.
I ordered the Ventum 33 pro it took 3 month to arrive only just saved up for the hidden extras so got another 3 month wait then 2 hour drive for setup and in the meantime they’ve already brought out a new version 🤦🏻♀
WOW!! There is some MAJOR torque on the 34 when he draws it back. Also, I can almost guarantee the price on the RX-7 will go up, although there is no changes. "LET'S GO BRANDON"
Who was the original designer of these tri track cross cable cams? I see elite, Athens , hoyt, bowtech, mybow all have this design. Never shot this cam design but helps balance the cam I bet !!
I like some aspects of the last two generations of Hoyt hunting bows, most notably the forward reflex of the riser and included stabilizer weight. I do not like the omission of the traditional side rod bushing which means I must buy Hoyt's solution to run a side rod, or place my side rod much higher up on the bow. This bow also weighs .1 lb less than a 40 inch Invicta. I think they could have made a 34 inch riser lighter.
Maybe if you sleep on a money! Maybe in a new bow but the down side is that they don’t make them any faster my Hoyt torrex xt is faster than ventum still sends arrows at 330fps I’m not copy cat with anything in live that includes north face clothes or under armour why I would pay for something like this bow if is the same as last year don’t get me wrong I like Hoyt it makes top bows but they are way too expensive for what they are ! The principal of a bow is the same doesn’t matter what brand, the design of the riser grip and limbs and comfort are the best better than Mathew! Even the older Hoyt models will last a lifetime!
My 5 years old Hoyt rx3 bought used will still kill any hogs just as dead as this new iteration. Maybe in a couple of years I will buy a ventum pro 33 just to have a longer axels bow and call it a day
What you just explained about the old hoyts having no valley is exactly how Mathews feels today. I don’t understand how u like them but didn’t like it on the old hoyt. Mathews has no valley
I don't think bows need to be radically new every year. But I feel like Hoyt has lost their way a bit. I don't really see any reason to pick this up over the competition.
I find it absurd that these companies release multiple new bows every single year with the smallest of changes. Come out with something truly innovative, or wait until you do. But im just some guy on the internet
Hoyt makes the best looking bow but way too expensive to change every year or two !but not if you are copy cat next year you gonna Have iPhone 14 ! The most annoying thing is when you start watching a TH-cam video about bows so many guys review a bow and says well this bow is super silent DEAD in the hand next year new bow came out and reviewed again oh this one is super quiet and more dead in the hand that the bow he reviewed last year so I guess he lied 🤥 last bow haven’t had any shock super dead and now the new bow have no vibrations compared to last year which had a bit . So if some of you shooting a rifle what happens with the energy???????! I tell you what you know and you feel in your shoulder !there is no bow and never will be 100% vibrations free!
looking at what elite, mathews and bow tech have done over the past few years its just not looking very good for hoyt, nothing here makes me want to even try one
Get serious catch us if you can…..🤦🏻 everyone just got left in the dust by elite this year. Hoyt still making the same looking bow from 2004. Should just call it the VTM Ultratec.
I use to be a Hoyt fan but as soon as they went above a $1000.00 I will never buy a Hoyt again same goes for Mathews & pse & all the other idiot manufactures that are high priced I'm all Bear , go Bear guys look into it watch the videos fully dressed for $800.00 & less.....
Shoots nice but these are torque(y) crazy forward sweep. Like to see riser bridge to be removed...gets in the way of rest cable, of torque tuning rest and at time you rest.....but these are better than previous years..I have been requesting the cut out for the rest cable for years....bravo
I have a 2021 ventum 30... Why tf would anyone upgrade? Don't bows last for years ? I don't need a new one Set the arrow Draw shoot This ain't nothing new

The hoyt harmonic. They would hum. Definitely glad they are finally doing something about that.
That limb dampener looks effective 4:29
Awesome…let’s give it a 1” different ATA and abbreviate the name and sell it as our 2023 model. Real innovative Hoyt
Love it!!! Back to the 34 YESSSSSSSSS
I know I'm late to the party here, but my wife just won one of these for me at a Whitetails Unlimited banquet. I can't wait to get it all set up and dialed in!
That’s a sweet bow!🤘🏾
The two different humps in the draw cycle is caused by the 85% let off setting If you set it to 80% that goes away
The new brown color looks awesome.
I wish they would bring back stone!
Great review and honest about the older hoyts..been saying same thing for years
As someone who owns a ventum pro and loves it I will not be switching to a VTM cause there is not enough difference for a brand new one

Ordered a vtm 31 took 3 mths to arrive.
Am I the only one that thinks the Elite Omnia is the bow of the year so far?
Nope
Mathews by far
@@alecbrink hahaha Mathews has made the Same bow for six years what are talking about u must be a fanboy
@@alecbrink 🤣🤣
Agreed. It has it ALL!
Don’t forget about bear they’ve stepped it up this year on mikes archery the bear is just as quiet as the Mathews phase 4 and a little faster

The rx 7 ultra is $2,000 on their website. People need to stop drinking the kool-aid

PJ could sell a polar bear an ice machine 😂. Seriously, nice job on the presentation PJ!
I think he does a better job advertising mattews😎😎😎
I'd say Hoyt and Mathews are conspiring together. Same bows as the last couple years. Great for cost savings I guess.

im about to buy a bow which is better? and durable?
rx7 vs vtm 31
i saw the video hoyt torture carbon bow with truck does vtm 31 can endure ??
Brace height .5
Weight 27lbs
MSRP $26,999
RX7 ALL DAY EVERY DAY!!!

You definitely still have variation with a picatinny mount. Remove your rifle scope and put it back and come back and talk to me😂
Was truly hoping the 34" would go to 32" draw length 🤦♂️ guess ill never own a ventum
Exactly
Tell me it's the same bow without telling me it's the same bow
My 5 years old Hoyt rx3 bought used will still kill any hogs just as dead as this new iteration. Maybe in a couple of years I will buy a ventum pro 33 just to have a longer axels bow and call it a day
“Hoyt hand-shock” lmao
So phase 4 or vtm?
Shoot both. They’re both nice
I was hoping for lower letoff drawstops honestly.
They need to get rid of the piccatini sight mount. Matthews nocked it out of the park with their dovetail riser mount.
A little disappointing in that there aren’t any significant changes, except that it’s probably more expensive
A 32” draw would’ve been nice on the 34… I mean how many ppl with a 26” draw are wanting a 34 ata hunting bow??
What you just explained about the old hoyts having no valley is exactly how Mathews feels today. I don’t understand how u like them but didn’t like it on the old hoyt. Mathews has no valley

Hoyts looking more and more like Mathews LOL

LOUD!!!
This does nothing over the Ventum Pro...Not worth the 💵 but the ZS1 looks Real promising especially if they make it an 80#er...
man, that draw cycle lookin rough!!!
Course the mathews boy is gonna say that lol
@@gagebarker4289 😂😂 Oh cmon man! You can’t tell me that slow mo of the cam bouncing all over the place looks smooth!
Try one
@@DillonWylie i mean the 85 percent let off is not very smooth but the 80 is and the higher the draw weight the more rough the draw is on any bow
Wouldn't it be more fun to build a osage bow and shoot a buck than carry that 10 pound clothesline looking contraption around?

Get serious catch us if you can…..🤦🏻 everyone just got left in the dust by elite this year. Hoyt still making the same looking bow from 2004. Should just call it the VTM Ultratec.
The Embark was amazing, but somehow Elite came out with the Omnia and the Verdict and gapped everyone big time.
Lol obviously you haven’t shot one in a few years
@@bigz5262 oh obviously..... just every bow that has come out since 2004. been in the game since the 80's there bub!

So it’s a step down cause it’s not a vtm pro
No, that's next year
These bow manufacturers are really spinning their wheels at this point trying to “improve “ their flagship bows. And all others for that matter..
At least some of them actually try
The ones that are still improving are still that far behind
Sounds extremely loud.
Thing looks hideous.
