I love this only because I’m hoping to get approved for OCS to be a marine reserve officer, I will most likely be assigned to an infantry unit, I would love to look into recon. I also have children and a step kid. I love how this shows the balance of a man who with a good heart who is also trained to take life only when necessary. Great balance

This is a good story hands down. I served as a garrison MP in the mid 1990s. It was crazy to see a lot of dependent wives with no rings on (we called them Float Widows) in the local watering holes of Jacksonville, NC. whenever a MEU shipped out of Camp Lejeune. Some Marines would come back from a 6 month Med Float and his wife would be 3 or 4 months pregnant. Some float widows were considerate and wait a week before they would start coming through the base housing gates with other Marines. It's just the way it is and the way it'll always be.
You know some of us plan on going a full 20 right? You wanna be scared for your entire career of being jody’d, that’s your call. You should just focus on putting a ring on the broad that was grinding on you for an hour when you were a boot and went to the bar with dog tags on. Find a classy woman you met in a semi-classy way and you shouldn’t find many problems.🤷🏽♂️
