Hi sir, You have taken the distance from E1(P1) to P2 as 10m and then P2 to E2 as 10m again. But in the connection diagram of the earth tester it's 0.62 D and 0.38D, which means they shouldn't be equal.

This is earth tester , the test you want to do , you will require a megger device it will give you better result

No you can fix it in different directions , I did it because the land was cemented , so I had no option

Why you subtract 1.25 from main value
Thanks for your support Gourang, the value 1.25 is the material resistance of the GI strip and earthing rod, so this value has to be subtracted from final value to get exat resistance of earthing pit.
You again listen to the video.actually we want to find the earthing resistance of the earthing rod as well as the earthing resistance of the soil in which the earth rod is present that is rod+soil only.But since while measuring the resistance of those two things, you are using red and green and blue electric wires, the result on the meter will show a combination of three things( rod+soil+ colored wires).so in the video he measures the resistance of the colored wires separately which is 1.25 ohm.So to find only resistance of rod+soil,you have to subtract 1.25 ohm from the reading given on the meter( which was about 13).

In order to reduce the resistance of the earth pit , we will have to increase the conductivity of the earth pit , so for that we usually drain 10L water mix with salt in the earth pit
as i know if we have current more than 200A we use minimum 2 earth pits than how we will measure earth resistance either we have to connect both earth pits and then measure or any other method plz reply
See usually in case of dual or tri vector earthing , we test the resistance of individual earth pit , not by connecting 2 together , as per the IEC standards an individual earth pit should offer a resistance of 5ohms or below it , which is a safe limit and ensures that if you have a heavy leakage current then at this resistance it will be smoothly absorbed by earth

Changing the direction can make the distance between earth electrode and test electrode E2 , close to the value of resistance which you will get will not be according to the standard test procedure of earth test
Can we use 4mm thickness Aluminium wire to connect LA with earthing?
If not then what is the alternate of GI strip?
4mm conducter is actually underated , and not at used for earthing , and lightning surge are heavy , as you know the charges only flow on the surface of the conductor so you need higher cross-section conducter , only use 25mmx3mm GI flat strip

EHV transmission line usually have end to end transformer earthing , so even it Earth test is conducted it is done at transformer end

The electrode E1, P1 passes current in soil which is detected by earth pit at a fixed voltage by device so by formula V=I/R the device calculate R i.e. Resistance of soil

The reason why we conducted this earth resistance test because we had a doubt on this earth pit , as we detected that AC voltage between the neutral and earth was coming about 20-22v which was beyond limit ,
You are absolutely right the pit resistance should be below 5ohms , but ours was 12.16ohms , so what we did to improve it , we immersed 20liters mixture of water with rocksalt inside the earth pit to lower the resistance , and finally got value below 5ohms

Yes ,our value was high , is leye humne earth test conducted keya tha, kyuki humara solar inverter was facing overvoltage issue ,the standard value of proper Earth pit should be below 5ohms
I have found 18 ohm in chemical earthing , how will come below of 5 ohm.
Chemical earthing is cheap in cost .
If you want power full earthing then go for GI PIPE MINIMUM 38MM TO 50MM(ISI) (TATA,JINDAL) OR go for COPPER PLATE earthing. in both types of earthing coal and salt are used. minimum 8 feet depth. For better result. please provide watering pipe for regularly maintain earth resistance below 5 ohms by adding saulty water every 3 to 6 months as per your requirements

Why should take 10m distance
This is a standard set in the industry to measure the resistance, for earth test because for different distance you will get different values, which will confuse you

So it will totally depends on how harsh or dry the skin will be , it starts between 100,000ohms for extremely dry to 1000ohms for wet skin

Take a bucket with water 10liters and mix rock salt half kg in the bucket and pour the water in earthing pit which you want to test it will increase the conductivity of ground electrode
Your demo is not clear. It wont help the beginners . your need to elaborate what is E1, P1, E2, P2. Similarly you then need to narrate why u short the E1 and P1.. Explain the depth of electrode. Explain it more to be more beneficial. Its not valuable..
