Nice information..... I also want to do some rectification... if probe is reversed between nutral and earthing then no negative symbol will appear in the meter reading due to AC voltage.

No. And tester won't Show voltages.
You could use a test lamp (bulb) but provides only a very rough estimate.

If the probes are between earth and neutral, zero is a good reading.

Then check the Voltage between Phase and earthing. The reading should be as close as possible.

Fuse gone or Wiring fault (Earth Not connected anywhere). Could be also a wire cut.
How to find leakage current ?
Leakage current can be found by Turning on Appliances one by one. Faulty appliance will show leakage current. (Tester glowing on earth) I suggest you take help of professional wireman as leakage can shock you.

Mane ghar me proper earthing karwai h. Abb agar m apne ghar k phase se earthing check karta hun toh 12 se 15 show ho rahi h or same earthing pados k phase k saath check karta hun toh 245 show ho rahi h. Mere pass nexon ev h or wo charge tabhi hoti h jab earthing proper ho. Bahut share electrician ko dikha chuka hun kisi ko bhi samajh nahi aa rha ki fault kaya h. Wase m solar power bhi use karta hun.
