During the development of the original version of the mission back in July 2019, I was still learning and had no idea how to even think about doing the "Jedi draining" phase. Since the duel was short enough anyway I decided to add in that ambush section to at least pad out the mission a little bit.
Is it a limitation of the coding that he couldn't suck back the Jedi only when his health got depleted? In Kotor he only sucks a Jedi once his health drops to near 0
