    Ich finde die S 400 er HDs deutlich schöner (Aussehen ist aber Ansichtssache). Außerdem verstehe ich nicht, warum kein 500 er GT- HD mehr angeboten wird. Von der Anstriebstechnik her fand ich den OM 442 LA am besten, weil der robust und massiv war mit 14 l Hubraum statt 10 l (da kann Daimler aber mit den neuen Euro 6D- Vorgaben nicht mehr nachkommen).

    I don't see much point in the Setras of nowadays anymore....what's the 'speciality' or 'outstanding point' of their buses & coaches nowadays ???
    From what i can see, nowadays Setra look very 'common', nothing special anymore ?! It seems they run out of new & lasting innovative ideas ??
    Historically Setra became famous due to their innovation of integral 'self-supporting' mode of coach body construction which does not need to use bus-chassis as a result to build a bus or coach ? But nowadays i observe other coach builders like Marcopolo of Brazil even some from Malaysia, Indonesia etc. they also learn to build bodywork this way..of course i don't expect their quality 'standard' as good as German made Setra but at least they know the idea & gradually improving their 'standards'.
    So, back to the thoughts mentioned above..what's the point of Setra nowadays...since Setra also use Mercedes-Benz mechanical parts & Mercedes-Benz Travego, Tourismo coaches their design also looks something like that..might as well just buy a Mercedes-Benz (original) coach why should people still consider a Setra, unless it has something special superior to offer over the Mercedes-Benz ?
    What i sense is that the 'standard' of the coach design at both Setra & Mercedes-Benz nowadays have become not as 'good' as 25 years ago i.e. during the time of the Mercedes-Benz O 404. The O 404 coach body design may be more expensive to make (due to the 3-diemensional side panelling etc.) but i can still 'see' some 'standard' there in the design even now 25 years later !! Such 'superior feel' factor nowadays seems much of it 'lost' in even the newest of their coach models ?!? So i find that Daimler do need to do something to improve the 'standard' again back to something like O 404 type of innovative standards in the design & looks of their future coaches & buses too for that matter. Maybe Daimler can re-organise make Setra become like 'AMG' for Mercedes-Benz bus & coach i.e. make low volume of higher-than-normal specification level buses & coaches for specialist customers...let the Setra brand become famous & great in building such vehicles ? Then maybe there'll then still be much point of a Setra after all ?

      If we talk about design, is tourismo look like 517 hdh? , I would pay more for setra design, it's the best design ever, that's why setra is more loved
