Nice explanation of stanzas and lines, just couple of corrections: --- Stanza 1, line 3 is: "And pour the waters of *the* Nile" The lines in each stanza have 8 syllables, then 6 syllables, then 8 syllables, then 6 syllables - so "the" is needed to keep the rhythm nice. --- The word at the end of stanza 2, line 1 is: "grin" In each stanza line 1 rhymes with line 3, and line 2 rhymes with line 4 - so grin rhymes with "in" in line 3 of that stanza. Try reading the poem out in an exaggerated rhythm to notice the patterns!

Figurative language is a broad topic and has different types. When we use words in a way that is different from their ordinary meaning, it is called figurative language. Look at this example My Mum is a machine. If we take the literal meaning of this sentence, it would mean that my m is a machine. However, this sentence is written figuratively to mean and directly compare my mum to a machine because we mean that she works so much and never gets tired. This type of figurative language is called 'Metaphor'. There are so many more branches like simile, hyperbole, personification, onomatapoeia etc. All in all it means the use of words to refer to something without directly stating it.
