- We understand that accidents can happen and a damaged screen is the most common occurrence.
The team at MechDIY were kind enough to send us this beautiful console for educational purposes so we’ve made a short detailed video on how to replace the IPS Backlit screen.
www.mechdiy.com also sell replacement parts for Miyoo consoles.

Great tutorial. I needed to replace my motherboard as my Miyoo wasn’t charging correctly anymore and not functioning. Miyoo sent me a motherboard on warranty :)
Thanks for your support. Glad they helped you out
Wasn't actually doing this procedure, I was adding paper to improve diagonal function. This guide helped me a lot!
Glad we could help you 👍
I just replaced my screen thanks to you!!!
Our pleasure 👍glad the tutorial came in handy
@@GameboyCustom Do you know where I can buy a replacement screen the the miyoo mini v4? I cannot find any screen replacements on mechdiy
Where did you get the screen from? I broke mine and need to find replacement for my mini plus
One change to the tutorial and what is inline with may other store's warranty is it test the screen out side the closed shell prior to adhering it to the shell. Otherwise this was a cool tutorial and a needed sponsorship. More stores like this will be helpful when looking for replacement parts on emulators.
Cheers 👍nice point
@GameboyCustom you think you will do more of these, or will this be a one-off and keep to the customs only? You did a good job with it, and while I don't think it should be the channel, I support the change up every now and then.
Consegui!
Glad we could help you. Happy gaming

Could you please provide a link for the tape you used?
It can with the replacement screen
@@GameboyCustom Right, but could you please tell the tape measurements? I need to buy some. Thank you.
My black MM+ doesn't have the 2 PCB screws, and the PCB is stuck to the front plate with tabs which seem they're going to break if I force the PCB out.
Just take your time and use a tool to gentle remove the screen
Hey, did you manage to pry this out? I have up, feels like I'm going to break the screen
@@AtomicBoom227 I did. I was only doing a face button swap so I didn’t remove the screen. But on the old MM+ units the PCB was screwed into the front plate. On new ones it’s held in place by plastic tabs. So you gotta fight with those tabs and force it but early videos show easy unscrew and lift. I still didn’t feel good about it but reminded myself if the tabs break then I’ll just use 2 screws to hold it in the old way. Luckily the tabs did not break though and I got the button swap done.
@@KickPuncher9898yeah that plastic tabs is what is making me nervous pulling it out lol 😂 I see them and wish I could remove them but I didn’t feel good removing it lol and I didn’t…yet lol
where can i get the miyoo mini plus screen

@@GameboyCustom where can I get the mito mini plus screen
Is this supposed to be the fix for the issues where the screens are falling out?
👍
That might be due to the screen or battery or whole component heating up making the back glue melt from the screen and frame.
Will there be a moding video for RG35XX?
Possibly in the future 👍
If there is a slight creaking in the edges of the screen / corners corners when pressed, does this mean the screen is about to fall out or that the adhesive is failing? Does your repair unit have this if you rub with slight pressure with a cloth along the edges/corners?
The tape that holds it in place maybe wearing out. We have no issues at this stage
Amazing work man!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks heaps 👍👍👍

Good job, mate.
Much appreciated 👍👍👍

By far the worst battery connector ever. The clamp is too soft. Mine would not come off and I had to put the wires back into it nearly broken and glue them in the white clamp nearly shocking myself to death. If anyone sees this I strongly recommend adding a dab of glue on the non board side and on the wires themselves once you get the battery out before it becomes an issue.
Thanks for your input. We didn’t have any issues
I would not recommend using a METAL flat screwdriver to remove the screen. Too easy to damage the screen. A plastic straight pry tool and low heat from a blow dryer will do it. I've removed the screen on my MM+ to fix light bleeding and this is how i did it. Slow and steady does it. You guys can probably manage to do it with metal tools but someone who needs this tutorial may not.
The tutorial is in regards to how to remove an already damaged screen, we don’t need to be as careful with this repair but thanks for your concern
@@GameboyCustom Good point didn't think of that!
@@benpregent but thanks for your concern. It’s appreciated. Anyway we can help other with modding is a win 👍take care
How'd you fix the screen bleeding? Just replaced whole screen?
