There is no such thing as "one fits all"... For all of that, you will need different tools... The IM608, for example, is quite complete on diagnostics and keys, but will not do them all... Remapping, that's needs it own tools, and again, there is no tool that does all the ecus... It is an expensive and complicated subject... 😊
I have an astra j 1.7 diesel. Quick question I have a message saying service needed soon and right after a message engine speed reduced. It keeps going in limp mode and won’t go over 3,000 revs at times, I have drove over an hour on high revs to try cleaning the dpf but nothing. Any ideas what it could be ?
Hi So, it looks that it can be either dpf, or dpf monitoring system, like the sensor, split pipes, etc... Unfortunately, there is no straightforward answer... you need to check, inspect, test etc... 👍
I have the same car 1.7 diesel and the engine lights keeps coming on always. when I took it the workshop they let me leave for them and later say they have fix it but just 10 miles drive it comes back. Can you help me? Is always say engine power reduced and I am worried
@@LMAutoRepairs actually I don't know,all that is written is code 84 which means engine power reduced and when I send it to machine they always let me leave the car with them for a day but later the same old thing appears
If you are paying for those "repairs", go back and let them fix it... If you don't have how to read the codes from the ecu, there is not a lot I can advise... Code 84 is a generic code implemented by Opel/Vauxhall as a warning for the driver... Not much in it for diagnostics purposes... Sorry...

Would you suggest chance the fuel regulator or try put some additives cleaner through the system and run it before I do the change ? Thanks

The service soon message is a generic message... does not necessarily means it is a dpf issue...
Scan the car and see what codes you have...
